《Started but Never Finished》Misunderstood ch.10

The Beach by Giveon played as I cleaned my house. The past three months I've been in my house cooking, eating and learning TikTok dances. Why? I don't have family. And I stopped talking to Kingston because I felt myself getting attached and falling in love. And because he's friends with my friends it was only right for me to ghost them too. Why'd I do that? Because I'm weird and have unresolved issues. I was actually doing really well until about two weeks ago. I've been thinking about Kingston non stop. And I really wanna go back to him but he probably wouldn't just let me back in. Especially if he knew about the stuff I've been doing.
A loud knock on my door startled me.
"Open up bitch. I know you in there."
I opened my door to see an upset Tokyo on the other side.
"Uhm. Come in." I said.
"I was gonna do that anyway." She walked in and took her shoes off then went into my kitchen. I just stood there watching her.
"So...Do you wanna tell me why you ghosted me for three months." She asked.
"Uhm not really." I said truthfully.
She left the kitchen and went to the living room. She put the snacks that she stole out of my kitchen next to her and her feet on my coffee table.
"I got all day and tomorrow. So go ahead. Start talking."
Oh. She's serious. Well I guess I don't have a choice.

"So you and King dated for eight months and no one knew."
I nodded.
"You started falling in love so you ghosted him and hid from the world for three months."
I nodded.
"During those three months you had multiple hook ups with guys from your past plus Cj."

I nodded.
I'm such a whore. Lol.
"And now you wanna go back to King because you really miss him but afraid that he won't want you because you were being a hoe and ghosted him with no explanation."
I nodded again.
"Whew chile. Tempestt you are a mess. How did you accomplish all this in three months?" Tokyo asked.
I shrugged. I had a lot of time on my hands I guess.
"Tokyo. I don't know what to do." I told her.
"Well first you need to go to the clinic and get checked. You could have something with all the sex you were having."
I gave her a look. That's kinda offensive. I always protect myself. I know the consequences of being reckless sexually.
"What. It's possible." She shrugged.
"Be serious." I told her.
"Okay, okay. The only thing you could do is talk to him."
I looked around the room hoping she'd get the memo. I don't wanna talk to him.
"I don't wanna do that. Why we can't just jump back into the relationship like nothing happened."
She looked at me and shook her head.
"That's your problem. You always wanna jump back into things like nothing happened. King isn't one of them people. He's gonna wanna know why you did what you did."
Welp. Looks like imma forever be a hoe cause I really don't wanna talk about that with him. Talking isn't my thing. Imma forgive and forget type of girl.
"There's no other options?" I asked.
"Nope. You gotta deal with this like a grown woman because King is a grown man and not a boy like you're used to."

Marrow
Marrow was old... older than me or you. Older than the nation he lived in. And older than anyone he knew. Which is not surprising, because he did not know anyone else. He had been sitting, or perhaps leaning is the more apt expression, in a closet for many, many years, and had done nothing but stare. But eating, or rather chewing, a spider opened up another world to him. A world with a voice that was talking to him - to HIM! Marrow did not get what the voice was saying, but that was secondary at this point. And Marrow started to feel restless. Nuff said. If you like a sometimes quirky skeleton as the main character and want to ride along for its coming of age, or perhaps rather coming of sapience story... give it a shot. It is a litrpg context with skills, levels, heroes and monsters... and a skeleton. Not sure yet how fast the skeleton will level... we'll have to wait and see. As a disclaimer... this is my secondary novel... my main story is ongoing and most of my time is dedicated to that. As such, new chapters will, at first, be rather infrequent and irregular. If things go well, I may shift more attention to the story, but we shall see how things go.
