"Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon and the truth"

"And the Petrovas from Niklaus sadly"

Argent questioned Satomi as they talked about the sentence they used to stay calm.

Kai shared a look with Kisa and Nadia at this, a deep frown on his face as he nodded, not so discreetly, his head at the hunter while puffing out some air out of his mouth.

The disbelief was evident on his features, making Nadia cough out a laughter while Kisa grinned as everyone turned to look at them as the previous conversation had been interrupted.

Kai explained as the deep silence started to bother him, raising his hand in mock surrender as he walked closer to Kisa subconsciously.

It was already a habit of his to go for her to seek for comfort and safety. He remembered as if it was yesterday when she explained to him about platonic soulmates and he had no doubt in his entire being that she was his.

Argent explained with a straight face as he looked from Kai to Satomi.

Kai and Nadia snorted.

Kisa didn't look impressed at all.

Kai exclaimed midway through his laughter, placing a hand over his belly as tears started to run down his eyes

The Petrova daughter told him with a shrug, her dark eyes scrutinizing every single werewolf in the building as if she was making mental notes of who had chances of living.

Which she was

Derek had to look down in order for him to hide the amused smirk that had escaped on his lips, shaking his head as if he was telling himself to get it together before he was finally able to look up, only to see her already looking at him with a mischievous smirk.

She had caught him

Her tone was entirely different from before as she spoke directly to him, passing the tips of her fingers over the muscles of his arm with that damned smirk before she winked and turned back to face the others.

The werewolves stood back as Chris Argent started to shoot against some of the hunters, but even with their claws and fangs the fear shone brightly behind their eyes when they saw the number of hunters that had entered the building and were too shooting, creating a curtain of bullets in their direction.

The smoke bombs didn't help at all, not even their enhanced vision could completely nullify the effects of the smoke, holding them captive by a mass of ethereal gray and red that belonged to the blood of their fallen friends.

In the middle of the chaos, they barely noticed and those who did thought themselves to be crazy, of hearing a belly laughter that would soon be accompanied by multiple terrifying screams.

And as the sounds of shots being fired started to be replaced by bones braking and a low chanting, the werewolves cowered on the ground, barely seeing the shadows of the trio.

Nadia, the youngest Petrova, wasn't wasting much time as she waltzed around the space, raising her hands as if they were pairs of scissors as they were used to decapitate.

A few feet away from her, Malachai held his hands out, smiling so wide that it could part his face in half, opening the back of some hunters with a flick of his hand and making their ribs twist outwards, almost like a pairs of wings... at least they looked like wings in his head.

Twirling his wrist, the smoke disappeared completely so he could show his piece of art to his demon.

His smile couldn't have gotten bigger at the scene, however, as the werewolves started to run from the building mortified as she continued to sing as she used her precious dagger to carve the skin of the hunters she had previously paralyzed by breaking their spines.

By her side, a pile of limbs which she had already removed had formed, with detached heads showing the pure horror of her victims on their last seconds of life.

"Come little children,

I'll take thee away,

Into a land of enchantment.

Come little children,

The time's come to play,

Here in my garden of magic"

Her hickory eyes slowly looked up from the body she was carving, finding where Kai was easily as he pointed at the ones he had killed with a proud look on his face.

Her face then broke into a wide grin as well, eyes shining with excitement, before she laughed softly at the angels he had made.

Nadia explained calmly as she saw the werewolves running from the building, but there was not a single look of judgement in her face.

Derek stood a little behind her, watching the scene with indecipherable eyes, before he turned around and started to walk to door

Nadia smiled

She didn't see the small smile that was playing on his own lips as well
