And then my soul saw you and it kind of went...
"Oh there you are! I've been looking for you"
Kai shouted as he entered Kisa's current house, jumping on the couch and making himself comfortable as Kisa followed after him, watching in amusement.
Two faces popped out of two different rooms, one smiling, another scowling, making Kai look wide eyed at the three identical girls.
Kisa was obviously the one smirking, he thought as he stood closer to her.
Kisa snorted, draining a blood bag as she patted the place beside her for the doppelgänger to sit.
Katherine went to sit down.
So did Amara.
Kisa was obviously calling for Amara, sending a blank look at her twin, who rolled her eyes as she sat down in the couch in front of the trio.
Kisa told him with a grin, the original Petrova smiling softly at Kai as he waved with an enthusiastic grin.
Katherine interrupted once she noticed that her sister wouldn't mention her, sending a flirtatious smirk towards Kai, who yawned in annoyance, curling up on Kisa's side.
His head laid on her lap as the vampire started to caress his black hair softly, massaging his scalp, making his eyes close in exhaustion.
Kai mumbled as his arms wrapped around his best friend's waist, with his head still laying on her.
He felt the vibrations of her body as she chuckled because of his accurate description, making the corner of his lips tilt upwards for a moment before they returned to a thin line.
Amara giggled softly, placing her hand in front of her mouth.
Katherine hissed, standing up aggressively, ready to put him back on his place, only for her twin to send her a glare, remembering her of her current state.
Great day to be human

Sitting back down on her couch, Katherine observed her twin intently, nervously biting her nails as the brunette looked at the ceiling with a smirk.
She knew what she was doing to her
Katherine scoffed loudly.
the younger twin decided to state, not bothering to add tears and the theatrical bullshit that she knew her twin would not fall for.
Kisa slowly let her gaze fall from the ceiling, looking straight at her twin with a raised eyebrow as she answered
Katherine fidgeted under Kisa's stare, her twin could be the devil when she wanted to play, she had been given the pleasure of seeing that side of her and still live to tell the tale.
In truth, Katherine was terrified of her twin's anger.
Katherine shouted, receiving a warning glare from her sister, who hated when people raised their voices at her.
Kai laughed at this, pulling her head away from Kisa's stomach as he looked at her glaring twin.
more laughter, the siphoner coughed in order to stop Kai finished with a snort, hiding his face against Kisa's stomach once again as he chuckled softly.
Katherine turned red in anger, sending a knife she had hidden in her clothes as safety measure towards the sociopath, who didn't bother to turn around as Kisa took it between two fingers, sending it back at her sister with the mere flick of her wrist.
Katherine gasped as the knife impaled her arm, blood quickly flowing from the wound as she stared in panic at this.
Katherine glared at her twin before she run out of the house, tears gathering in her eyes as she went to the hospital for the first time.
Kai mumbled with a pout, raising his head from Kisa's lap as she started to get up so she could go to the kitchen.

the vampire grunted, preparing some food from the humans as they watched her dance in the kitchen as she did her thing.
Kai and Amara shared an amused look, the Petrova giggling softly as Kai smirked.
It was good to be back with his demon
The Parker witch questioned as he looked between the two, his eyes squinting slightly as he tried to see the differences between them.
He could obviously tell who was who, Kisa's aura was completely different from Amara's.
Kisa reminded him of the ice and snow.
He loved the snow, but he was terrified of the ice, she was calm and deadly.
She could be the snow falling softly against one's head, the one you'd make a snowman, or the ice that would form above your head when you tried to resurface from the water.
Letting you drown, , letting you freeze until you didn't feel anything anymore and begged for the end.
She was his demon though.
Amara reminded him of the sun.
She seemed warm enough, although everyone knew what happened if you got too close to the sun.
Katherine reminded him of a bitch.
That was that.
It was easy to identify each one with a simple look in their direction, but then again maybe it was just him, who knows.
Kisa replied blankly, making Amara turn red in embarrassment.
the original one said softly, fidgeting with the sleeves of her dress.
Kisa and Kai tilted their heads and stared at her, not understanding why she felt bad, making the brunette shrink deeper on the couch.
Shrugging, Kisa gave them the plates of food, sitting back down between the duo as they were drawn closer as soon as she did so.
Kai suddenly asked, enjoying his meal as if he wasn't just planning a murder, making Amara choke on her food, coughing loudly as Kisa calmly patted her back, humming in wonder as she thought about the question.
the brunette observed, smirking at her best friend as she continued
Kai exclaimed as he leaned closer, making Kisa chuckled as he grinned
Shaking her head slightly, the brunette simply said
Seeing Kai's confused frown, she quickly explained
The vampire started, trailing off with a dangerous smirk playing on her lips and Kai finished.
Amara looked at the devils wide eyed, but chose to not interrupt, she really didn't want to be on their bad side at all.

[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon, November 2021] For the longest time, Aideen Fiachna had only one prescient wish; to be the daughter her parents could take pride in. The idea was a tall order, especially as her father stood at the head of the Templar order, and her grandfather as the Pope. However, she endeavored to try nonetheless. Yet fate had a different path in store for her. For all her efforts, all her best laid plans, were but the broken off crumbs of 'one day'. That day, she was brutally slain by a vile, accursed undead being. Though, not even restful eternity awaited her in death. She awakened inside a coffin. Her coffin. During her own funeral wake. Discovering, to her horror, that she had risen. Not somehow resurrected, no, but back in the form of that most hated of beings--the curse of undeath. What will fate deal her next? Chapters will range from 1-2.5k words, scheduled for release every day from Monday to Friday. --------------------------------------- Expect: -Character progression in a journey of self discovery that spanned the ages -World building -Tragedy and Comedy in roughly equal measures -Occasional action Do not expect: -Much in terms of romance -Politics, barring passing views and mentions -A lighthearted tale. This story will be a good bit grimmer than my previous one Any comments, reviews, and criticism will be much appreciated. And thank you for reading. --------------------------------------- Disclaimer: This story is my original work and only posted on the Royal Road website. 8 81The Underbelly
There's something wrong with Port City. In the aftermath of the Hyde Park massacre, the city increased its police force dramatically, and Wyatt Milter found himself in uniform, with a gun, a badge, and dreams of someday making detective, but with no clue how to actually make it happen. These days a new, ugly kind of violence is rising on the streets. As a bizarre group of characters emerges from Port City's underbelly, Wyatt will be forced into making a difficult decision. Will he remain a cop? Or will he serve a different kind of justice? (Author's Note: I started writing this about 10 years ago and only now got around to the idea of uploading it. As a result, much of this predates the rising popularity of the Green Arrow. I'm uploading as is, but future drafts will make minor alterations to the character to differentiate it.)
