"Did you read the note?" Ms. Gables asked, moving to the driver's side of the car.

"Of course not. I had to put it into my pocket and lie to my mother. So, I didn't get a chance to read it," I replied, sarcastically, getting into the car. I buckled my seatbelt and sighed, knowing that this was going to be a long drive to school.

Ms. Gables gritted her teeth as she got into the driver's seat. She shut the door with a bang and looked at me, her eyes narrowed. "You are not allowed to lie to your-"

"Well sorry, she isn't a Seer. That is why I had lied to her," I snapped interrupting her. I folded my arms across my chest. "She wouldn't be able to protect herself, even if I had told her."

She clenched the steering wheel. Her nostrils flared, and her body shook as if she was getting angry at me. "Do not interrupt me while I'm talking."

I bit my lip and growled a little. I stayed looking forward, hating her even more. I glared outside, my body tense.

"And, no growling at me either. You are not a dog."

"Then why are you treating me like one?" I asked, gritting my teeth together.

Ms. Gables's hands clenched the steering wheel, tighter, her eyes filled with hatred and dislike. She didn't say anything while she pulled on her seatbelt and started to drive the car to school.

I had to hold my temper, because I knew I was like my dad when he got angry. My fists were clench and my whole body shook with the anger that seemed to be rising every minute or so. I looked out the window, hoping that I could control my anger that way. However, it didn't and I saw a flicker of black and gray fur before it disappeared into another bush. My heart started to pound in fear, and I had to keep myself from opening the door and bolting.

If you see me, then you are kind of in danger. Get into a building and stay there, a familiar voice appeared in my head, but not Voice.

"Ms. Gables," I said, insistingly. I turned to look her, wondering if she had seen what I had seen. My whole body was screaming danger. However, I didn't know why since it wasn't dark anymore.

"I saw," she said as she gripped the steering wheel before the back left wheel popped.

The car jerked to the side and almost went off the road. I held onto the handle bar, hoping that something would keep us from crashing into the woods. I bit back a yelp of surprise, trying to brace myself, if we did crash.

"Leserro," Ms. Gables said, trying to keep the car on the road. A small spark appeared from her hands as the tire fixed itself. She placed pedal to the metal and booked it out from that area.

My hands shook as she slowed down before reaching the school limit. My whole body was shaking, because that was the closest I had came to probably death since I had saw the Darks on the night that I had said their name.

"How do you know Lupus?" she asked, while she pulled us into the turning lane of the school. "I know that your father hadn't told you about him." She glanced at me, frowning.

"Do you really have to ask that question?" I asked, keeping the snarky attitude out of my voice. However, I had wanted to use it so bad. It wasn't even funny.

"Joes," Ms. Gables warned. She scowled while she looked at me again.

"Well, I'm sorry, but that is very a stupid question to be asking me. And, I'm sorry for getting an attitude with you, but I didn't have dinner or breakfast, and I have no money for lunch, so right now, I'm freaking hungry. I'm also being thrown into something that could've been told to me before my father disappeared and the freaking Darks attacking me. It can be a lot of pressure on a girl, and thanks for the ride, but I got to go." And with that, I grabbed my bag and jumped out of her car.

"Joes," Ms. Gables said, warningly. She tried to reach for me, but I was all ready out of the car, even though it hadn't came to a complete stop. "Joeslyin!"

I ignored her, while I slammed the door shut. I started run into the school, wanting to get away from her as soon as possible. I had only one of my backpack straps on my shoulder, so that it was swinging around onto my back.

Worst idea that I had ever made. It was probably worse than going to Hillings Pub, even though my father had told me to do that.
