I was really stressed with acting and lately, i've been taking my stress out on Y/n or not giving her/him/them any attention which i felt really bad about. I decided to call Y/n over...to do something none of us want. "Noah?" I heard a familiar voice, a lump formed in my throat as i sat on my bed in silence.
I heard footsteps coming near me and soon, Y/n sat herself/himself/themself next to me and ran a hand up and down my back. "You alright love?" She/he/they asked, her/his/their voice was so gentle. Tears ran freely down my cheeks, i felt awful. "We need to break up" as i said that, her/his/their hand dropped from my back.
I immediately missed her/his/their touch...
"What...do you mean" she/he/they asked, I turned my head to look at her/him/them, and tears were already making their way down her/his/their face. "Did i do something wrong? Did i say something during our argument yesterday?" She/he/they asked quickly...oh yeah- our argument yesterday was started cause of me..and my stress.
I turned to face her/him/them and cupped her/his/their cheeks in my hands. "Y/n, you did absolutely nothing wrong okay? Its me- I'm stressed out with acting and i've been taking it all out on you and its not fair" I explained, my voice cracking. She/he/they looked into my tear-filled eyes and leaned forward to press her/his/their lips to mine.
I was shocked but i still kissed back. After a few seconds, Y/n pulled away and stroked the side of my face. "Noah..why didn't you just tell me? I can help you with everything, why else would I be here?" She/he/they questioned, a small smile placed at her/his/their lips. I shrugged and sniffed. "What are you most stressed with love?" She/he/they asked softly.

"The lines..." I replied in a mumble. "Love, i can help you, if you still wanna break up for awhile, its fine, but please let me help" Y/n begged. I realised how much she cared about me, I launched forward and pulled her into a hug, burying my head in the crook of her neck. "I don't wanna break up anymore...i just need help" I whispered. "And i will help you as much as possible baby"

The pattern in the list of missing friends is easy to spot, but makes no sense at all. If they're not quite what they were, well, that's a bridge to cross later... Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. If I need to warn you about gender in this being all over the map, some of it reality-based rather than fantasy-based, highly diverse sexuality, or that there is (especially later) some indirect fetish/BDSM imagery and honest character discussion, then you probably should just avoid everything I write. :-) Also available on Scribble Hub.
