《fatherhood // lashton》2

"How was pre-school today bud?" Luke asked as he picked Leon up and placed him on his hip as they walked home.
Luke and Ashton had hung out until Ashton had to get going for work. Luke had to go to his lawyer as well so they both went separate ways after exchanging numbers, saying they'd keep in touch to plan a play date for their kids.
Maybe for each other as well, Luke hoped.
"Good. Peach was there and she is very nice" Leon said and smiled up at his father while letting his small fingers touch the black lip ring stuck in father's lip.
"Yeah? You get along good?" Luke asked, trying to not sound too enthusiastic about it, though he really was.
Leon nodded his head and Luke smiled big. The little boy in his arms was truly Luke's happiness in life, he made Luke smile every day and there were no words for Luke to describe just how much his son meant to him.
Luke carried Leon home while listening to him talking about how he had managed to mix red and blue and he had gotten purple. Luke widened his eyes and gasped at the story, making Leon even more enthusiastic when telling it.
Luke put Leon down on his own feet when they walked into the apartment building. Leon ran up to the elevator and pushed the button for it since that was probably one of his favorite things to do. Luke picked up Leon a bit so he would be able to press their floor button as well, making the small brunette smile proudly.
"Hey bud, where are you going? This door is ours" Luke chuckled when Leon ran past their apartment door. The small one turned around and ran back to Luke, standing patiently by his feet while his father unlocked the door.
"Here we go" Luke breathed out as they walked into their apartment.
Luke bent down and helped Leon to take off his shoes before he worked on his own. He was startled and almost fell when he heard a voice from further away in the hallway.
"Welcome home honey"
Luke looked up and breathed out in relief when seeing Michael and his lilac-blue hair standing leaned against the wall smiling big.
"Michael!" Leon cheered and ran over to Michael.
The lilac-blue boy crouched down and opened his arms as Leon came running into them and hugged him tight.
"Missed you, big boy" Michael said and smiled as he pulled away from the small brunette and ruffles his hair.
Leon's smile was so big, making both Michael and Luke grin as well.
"I thought you'd come at 4?" Luke said and walked over to Michael to embrace him in a tight friendly hug.
"No, I had to take an earlier flight because of the weather. I knew you wouldn't be home so I let myself in" Michael said and wiggled the spare key out from his pocket to show it.
"Okay, that's fine. How was Texas?" Luke asked and walked into the living room with Michael walking after him, having Leon in his arms.
Leon loved both Michael and Calum very much. Luke was relieved that his son had such a great relationship with both his best friends because those were his favorite people on the planet.
"The same as it always has been, big and scary" Michael said and sat down on the couch with Leon on his lap while Luke chuckled.
"Good to be home though, I've missed this little crazy head" Michael said and poked Leon in his stomach, making the small one giggle.

"Yeah, now it's only Calum left" Luke smiled and relaxed into his chair.
"Yeah, it was about time he got some time off. I haven't seen that boy in a month now" Michael sighed but smiled when Leon started playing with the bracelets Michael had on his wrist.
Michael took one off and placed it on Leon instead, wrapping it two times to make it stay in place on the small boy's wrist.
Calum as said was studying to become a cop and the studies were tough and he barely ever had any breaks from it but now finally he had gotten a month off and the boys were more than happy about it.
"So, what's up with the Hemmings?" Michael asked and looked between the two copies.
"Not much since we last saw each other, which was when, six days ago?" Luke said and chuckled lightly.
"You're such a dad now" Michael scoffed before starting to play-wrestle with Leon.
Luke snorted but watched the two with a wide smile on his face.
"You're getting strong now, shit" Michael breathed out while wrestling but Leon stopped right away when hearing Michael's words.
"Bad word! You have to run a lap" Leon said and pointed at Michael. The lilac-blue boy groaned loudly and collapsed back in the sofa.
"No, I'm too tired. It wasn't even that bad of a word anyway" Michael whined and pouted.
"Dad, Michael said a bad word, he have to run a lap" Leon said and turned to look at his father.
"You heard the little one, Clifford, up and run" Luke said with a smirk on his face. Michael groaned again before standing up from the couch and jogged around the apartment.
Luke and Leon had a rule that if anyone ever said a bad word, you had to take a lap through the apartment, meaning you had to run into every room of the small apartment as punishment.
Luke only made that rule so his son would know that swearing was bad but Leon had taken the rule very seriously and was very stern to punish his father's friends because they swore a lot. Luke thought it was hilarious though.
Michael came back a few seconds later and sat down on the couch again. "I fucking hate that rule" Michael mumbled but Leon heard.
"Bad word! Lap!" he said and Michael groaned before running off again. Luke was laughing hard and he could clearly see the subtle finger Michael held up for him as he ran out of the kitchen.
"Good job" Luke chuckled and held up his hand so Leon could give him a high five. Leon smiled proudly when Michael came back into the room.
"Now I'm hungry, all thanks to you" Michael said and picked Leon up to tickle him. Leon's small laughs and giggles were heard through the apartment, making the whole home light up.
"You look cool today, by the way. Has daddy started to dress you up as a little rocker?" Michael asked when looking down at Leon's ripped jeans. Leon happily nodded his head and Luke chuckled.
"He fell and ripped them but he is very happy about it so I'll let it be" Luke explained and Michael chuckled.
"Well, you look cool" Michael whispered to Leon before taking him off his lap and stood up. "I'm treating you two food" he said and stretched out his limbs.
"I'm so glad my little housewife is back" Luke said and grinned up at Michael who rolled his eyes.
"Don't get too excited now daddy, you're helping me cook"

"So, Leon, do you have a girlfriend yet?" Michael asked and teasingly wiggled his eyebrows at the small boy, knowing he was in the age where he was afraid of so called girl cooties.
Leon shook his head quickly and kept eating his food, making most of it fall off the fork before he got time to get it in his mouth.
"Good, don't get one either. They're stupid and need too much attention. You won't have energy for it" Michael said before taking a bite of his food and Luke was silently nodding along to Michael's statement.
"Not all girls are stupid" Leon said with his mouth full with food and Luke was just about to point it out when Michael started to do the exact same thing, making Luke roll his eyes at both of them.
"Not all of them, but most of them" Michael argued against the four year old in front of him, sounding just as young.
"You're stupid" Leon said and pointed the fork towards Michael.
"Am not" Michael said back, pointing his fork back at Leon. Leon nodded and Michael hit his fork against Leon's gasping when Leon hit back, making the 4 and 21 years old boys start a sword fight with their forks.
Luke chuckled while watching the two boys and ate his food silently. But when Leon accidentally pushed down his glass filled with milk, Luke had to be the dad and scold both of them.
"No playing with the food while eating, look what happens" Luke sighed before standing up from his chair to clean up. Michael stood up from his chair as well to help.
"I'm sorry daddy" Leon said quietly, regret and sadness laced in his small voice making Luke glance up at him from the floor and smile at his son.
"It's okay buddy, it was an accident. Just don't get off your chair, we don't want you to glass in your feet" Luke said as he picked up the pieces off glass on the floor.
"I'm sorry too" Michael said, pouting as he tried to act all cute and childish. Luke rolled his eyes and gave him the finger when Leon wasn't looking before going back to cleaning.
Michael chuckled before wiping off the milk all around the floor.
"Why don't I get an 'it's okay, it was an accident' speech?" Michael said, pretending to be offended.
"Because you're stupid" Luke said as he threw the glass in the trash.
"Yes!" Leon said and nodded his head, making Luke laugh and Leon giggled along just because he loved making his father smile and laugh.
"I hate both of you guys you are mean" Michael pouted and Leon stopped giggling to climb down from his chair and carefully walked over the still wet floor to go over to Michael.
"You are not stupid Mikey" he said and curled his small arms around Michael's legs to give him a hug.
Michael looked up at Luke and pouted because of the cuteness that was now climbing on his legs. Luke chuckled and smiled at his son who was now holding onto Michael's right leg for dear life.
Michael bent down to pick Leon up and held him in his arms, hugging him tight.
"You are the most amazing little 4 year old in the world, did you know that?" Michael said as he leaned back a bit to look the small toddler in the eyes.
"Dad has told me that before" Leon shrugged and let one hand play with Michael's colorful hair.
"Of course he has" Michael laughed and looked over at the smiling Luke who only shrugged just like his son.
Michael breathed out a laugh before placing a kiss on Leon's forehead. He put the toddler down on the floor and stretching his limbs before talking again.
"You both are cute as fuck-"
"Bad word!"
**
"Goodnight buddy" Luke whispered before he bent down and kissed Leon's forehead.
"Night dad" the little one yawned before burying his little body into the fluffy cover.
Luke walked out of the small room and closed the door but not fully, letting a bit of light sneak into the room to make his son sure that he was out there if he needed him.
Luke laid down on the couch and let his eyes lock with the TV that played some random comedy series on a low volume.
Michael had gone home an hour ago, saying he really missed his bed. Luke rolled his eyes at that.
Luke was such a dad now though, he was lying in front of his TV with an almost un-alcoholic beer on the living room table and was almost falling asleep at 7.30 PM.
If any other normal living 21 year old would see him they would probably think the sight of Luke right now was very sad, but Luke didn't mind. He loves his life.
He laid in the small couch that barely fit his legs, and closed his eyes, listening to the fake laughs from his TV and sighed out at the peaceful silence until his phone made a sound.
Luke frowned and opened his eyes to pick up the phone from the table, squinting his eyes at the bright screen that lit up thanks to a text.
Luke opened it with a confused look on his face as he saw the unfamiliar number.
Hey :) This is Ashton and I really hope this is Luke otherwise I have been fooled badly haha
Luke laughed the the dorky message and felt the cheesy smile on his face only grow wider each time he read the message before he responded.
This is Luke, and I would never fool you, I'm not kind of person. I'm glad you texted :)
Luke sighed out, because maybe that was a lame ass answer, but hopefully it would make Ashton smile or maybe laugh. He wouldn't mind making Ashton laugh, he wouldn't mind that at all.
Well, that's a huge relief! I'm glad you're glad I texted :) I just wanted to say I had a great time today and I'd love to do it again sometimes, maybe when we have a bit more time
Luke smiled like a kid on Christmas morning, but he felt no shame over it.
The two boys texted like a pair of two teenagers with a crush and it was all smiles and cute words written in a simple text. It was easy and it floated on like they had known each other for years.
"Dad?"
The small familiar voice broke Luke away from his texting with Ashton. He looked up to see Leon standing in the doorway of the living room, his eyes tired and droopy but a small pout was on his face. He was holding his teddy bear that was Luke's old one in his hand.
"Hey bud, what are you doing up so late?" Luke asked and glanced at the clock seeing it was already close to 11 PM.
"I had a scary dream" Leon said before he shuffled over to Luke and crawled up so he was lying beside him.
Luke frowned before curling his arms around the small frame of his son and cuddled him closer to himself.
"It's okay, it was only a dream" Luke whispered and kissed the top of Leon's head repeatedly.
"What do you say about having a sleepover in my bed?" Luke asked and smiled when the small boy nodded his head into Luke's chest.
Luke sent Ashton a text saying he was going to bed and he'd talk to him tomorrow, before holding Leon's sleepy body close to his chest and picked him up, carrying him to his room.
Luke placed the small boy down on his bed and placed the cover over him before he took off his skinny jeans, leaving him in boxers and a t-shirt.
Luke turned around again and smiled at the sight of his son cuddled into the pillow and blanket in his big bed.
Luke laid down and cuddled under the cover with Leon, bringing the small boy closer to his chest before sighing out happily.
"Goodnight daddy, I love you" Leon said and hugged Luke's ribcage while he nuzzled his face into his father's warm chest.
"Goodnight buddy, I love you too. Very much"
Luke fell asleep with a smile on his face because right then, his life was more than worth smiling for.

Same Crap, Different World
A young man from early 21st century wakes up in a different world. This world is like a typical setting of an fantasy isekai novel. But it is also not. There is magic, alchemy, magical creatures, different non-human races, peasants and nobles, demons and dragons. But there is also politics, persecution, supremacism of every kind, entitlement, slavery and other unpleasant human tendencies. In short, this new world does not differ much from his old one. However, besides him, there may be others who have made such a strange trip, and awakened into this new world. There certainly have been others, in the past. But more than people and other living things, there have been items. All sorts of items, which are regarded as otherworldly artifacts with unknown danger and power. And he himself is an artifact as well, albeit a living one. Therefore he has use for the powers that be. He is also given a role and expectations to fulfill, to hide his real value. And in all that he still has to make sense of what has happened, what is happening, and find a way back, if possible. Author's note: I write this project mostly in (except chapter 1) in 60-100 page (40,000-70,000 word) chapters, edit them as such and later cut them down for publishing into 7-11 page segments (depending on natural breaks in the flow). Therefore, each chapter may be divided into 10-15 subchapters.
