Chapter 30: Turned In & A Promise of Love
"Before we separate...you could help by getting Speed and Penny into the detention room...Stronghold and his friends can do the rest and handle Gwen...ok?" I suggested grabbing Lash's hand.
"I'd like to help as much as I can before we...before I..."
"Come on!" I said pulling him out into the hall before he could finish his sentence.
First we went and got Speed and put him into the detention room. Next was Penny, she was a little difficult sense she was not only cloned but also tied up with vines? Anyway Lash was able to talk to her and we were able to get her into the room with Speed...Lastly we headed towards Gwen and Stitches where Stronghold and his friends were waiting.
"HEY! I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU WEREN'T GOING TO LET HM GET AWAY AND FREE HIM!? SHOULD HAVE KNOWN NOT TO TRUST YOU!" Zak yelled as Lash and I walked up.
"She's not...We came to get Gwen and Stitches so we can put them into the detention room until everyone is back to normal and Principal Powers can take over. As for me...I plan to turn myself in. But first I wanted to help out what little bit I could as well as apologize for my actions... I have my reasons...but I see now that even though I thought they were for the best they weren't. Because the one I wanted to protect most; protected me instead. So I'm sorry, and you can hate me if you want...but please don't hate Mary!" Lash said squeezing my hand.
"It's ok. I understand; we all make mistakes and can become jerks. If you promise to turn yourself in, then it will all be ok." Will told him as he stood holding Layla's hand.

"Alright let's stop with this emotional bit. Lash you know what to do...I have no issue with you plus if you hurt her again she'll kill you. Now we should go change everyone back and unload this bus." Peace spoke up from behind everyone.
"Thank you Peace." Lash and I said together.
We then got Gwen and Stitches and took them to the detention room, after we put them in there, Lash and I stood outside the door in the hallway.
"It's all over now." Lash said holding my hands as he stood in front of me.
I couldn't bring myself to look at him, afraid that as soon as I did that I would break down and cry.
"Mary?...Mary I..."
"DON'T!...Lash please don't...I...don't want to lose you again....I want you to stay...Please stay by my side...I don't want you to go...I Love You!" I said failing to fight back my tears.
"Mary I'm so sorry." Lash said hugging me tighter then he ever has before.
"I don't want to let you go...Ever Again!" I mumbled into his chest as I hugged him back just as tight as he hugged me.
"I don't want to let you go either...but.."
"NO BUTS!" I yelled squeezing tighter.
"Mary." Lash said softly.
"Please...Why do you have to go?" I said through my tears.
"Because I made a mistake. I thought this would protect you but it just hurt you even more. Now I have to fix this, I have to fix this mistake so I can make sure I never hurt you again." he said wiping away my tears.
"Lash." I barley made audible.
"I promise you Mary that I'll come back for you. However long it may take I promise to come back once I fix my mistake...but I want to know if you can wait for me?"

"Yes!...Yes, I promise to wait for you, no matter how long it may be if need be I'll wait forever if it means that I can hold you again. I Love You!" I said finishing wiping my eyes.
"I Love You Too!"
We then shared a long bitter-sweet kiss. I didn't want this kiss to end. I didn't want to let him go, because if I did then I may never get to hold him or be held by him...never feel his warm touch, never hear his thoughts or heartbeat. However I knew this had to be done and I'll make sure to keep my promise for there is no other guy for me in the whole world, I'll wait for as long as it takes in order to have him in my life again and for more moments like this.
"I will return for you, I promise with all my heart or may I die lonely and miserable Mary." he whispered into my ear as we parted from our kiss, then he walked himself into the detention room.
As I let out a sigh a voice came from the other end of the hall.
"It's not easy to turn yourself in, but even tougher to let the love of you life do it." I turned and was surprise to see the owner of the voice was none other then Principal Powers.
Damn I was too focus on Lash that I didn't try to read any thoughts, unless she knew how to keep her mind clear so I couldn't read it. Ugh...wait what will she do with me if she saw all that? What will she do with me and Lash and the others?
"It's ok you aren't in any trouble. As for Lash If he cooperates with us and he decides to switch paths to become a Hero I can guarantee that he wont be away as long as the others. However I can't guarantee that he will only be away for a short time." she said walking closer.
"I understand."
"You should head back to the party and have fun...I'm sure your friends are worried about you. I'll take over from here. You did the right thing." she said giving me a small smile with a hint of pity for me with it.
I gave her a small sad smile of my own and walked down the hall. However I didn't return to the homecoming dance...I just couldn't bring myself to go and try to enjoy it. Instead, I walked outside and sat on the front bottom steps of the school and looked up at the stars. As I did a shooting star flew across...it may be childish but I made a wish on that shooting star.
"I wish Lash can get through this without me, I also wish that he will not go back to his old ways or the evil side of things. I just want my Lash back to who he was before this all began...I want the Lash I fell in love with and I want him and myself to stay strong while we are separate. If you have any magic shooting star can you make this wish come true." I said to myself in the lonely darkness of this homecoming night.

Child of the Ancients: An Apocalypse LitRPG
It all started in the middle of Dante's nap. He wanted to sleep his life away, but the system denied his request. Instead, it began to transform the Earth, integrating it into the multiverse by granting everyone stats and skills. He was talented, or so the system thought. And that meant he needed to be challenged. After being sent into a deadly cavern, Dante strives for the future he's always desired. But when he learns about the secrets hidden within him, he's shaken to his very core. He wishes for the nightmare to end until something goes wrong. [The world will end in one year.] Instead of everyone receiving a relatively gentle tutorial, the people of Earth are deemed redundant. Dante makes it his goal to save as many people as he can before the world ends, but with billions of lives at stake, he might have to turn into a monster before he can become a hero. Planned updates (2500+ words): M/W/F. 12pm AEST/ 9am EST. M-F during Writeathon. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Author's Note: All system apocalypse novels seem to jump straight over the apocalypse itself, which I find very sad. I don't want this to turn into a typical fantasy novel in about ten chapters. Instead, I hope to explore the destruction of society and how things would look if superpowers suddenly appeared in the real world. Before the real apocalypse happens, of course. There will be base building, and likely romance once things settle down. Also dragons, because they are awesome :)

Immovable Mage
What do you call a mage incapable of casting spells? In this story, we usually call him Terry. When the boy is accepted into Arcana Academy, his talent in the pillars of mana foundation awes everyone. All the bigger is the eventual disappointment when Terry turns out to be an utter failure at spellwork. Diagnosis? Major aspect impairment. No cure. Ever. Faced with expulsion, Terry is blessed with the unexpected kindness of others. Terry loses his spot in the Academy but in exchange, he finds a home with a family. Terry starts to train as a pure mana cultivator but never stops looking for his own path as a mage – day after day, season after season, always searching for compatible spellwork… Until finally, Terry’s perseverance earns him a single spell – the only spell he will ever be able to cast. Disclaimers: Chapter Frequency: I aim for one chapter a week. Chapter Length: I try to keep chapters between 3000 and 6000 words. Binge Preference: I plan for 30 chapters per arc. If you want to binge a complete arc, then that is the number to wait for. I will also add a line to chapters indicating the beginning and end of an arc. Advanced Access: I have created a patreon page with early access to four chapters for patrons. What to Expect: Progression fantasy with a western fantasy setting and with eastern fantasy elements. A main character that is forced to explore a very narrow path of magic due to a permanent condition. A main character that is a part of a larger cast. A main character that is growing but won't become the strongest around anytime soon. A story following a single main character but with introduction or theme setting scenes without the main character. What Not to Expect: Edgy grimdark characters – I will never write a sexual violence scene or gory descriptions of torture. I hate reading it and I would hate writing it even more. Romance – romantic relationships will never be the focus of the story and only appear in the background. The main character is preoccupied with other stuff. Other forms of relationships (family, friends, companions) play a bigger role. Cover: The cover art was commisioned from redditor Linh-Nguyen87. The font is alita brush by Inovatype Typefoundry. Overview: 001–030 Arc 1, Cultivating Perseverance: complete. 031–060 Arc 2, Undying Defiance: complete. 061–090 Arc 3, Unyielding Fury: scheduled for publishing. 091–120 Arc 4, Savage Hope: scheduled for publishing. 121–150 Arc 5, Self-Made Fate: first draft in progress. 151–180 Arc 6, Heretic Style: sketching in progress. Further Arcs are still in the sketching and idea collection phase.
