Chapter 21: Save the Citizen!

Finally 'Save the Citizen' was here. As always Lash and Speed where the villains and paired up together and brought a smile to my face. I smiled for two reasons, one is because of how cute Lash looked in his gear and the other was because I knew that I wouldn't have to compete in this; Lash never picks me to go against him. He knew I could beat him anyway all I had to do was sit back and watch my baby as he showed off his power.

The twins, Amy's BF and myself sat together to the far left of Coach Boomer, the side closest to Lash up close to the glass. He is truly something else when he does this, full of passion in his teamwork to win making them undefeated with a win over Ramirez and Hamilton, I was so happy! Yet is odd that I' ok with him as villain for save the citizen but his bullying is too much for me...I guess because this is a game but his bullying is him just being a jerk and completely different person. As I was thinking this I didn't realize that they have already decided who to go against next and the next round was about to begin.

Warren Peace and Will Stronghold paired up after their big fight in the cafeteria this will be interesting.

The match begins with Lash slingshoting Speed knocking down both Will and Peace. Peace got up and tossed; whatever it was that he landed on and crushed; over the plexiglass on the other side of all of us.

Once he stood up Lash wrapped his arms around him saying "What now Peace!" then Peace used his fire to burn Lash.

"HEY COACH THAT'S A FOUL!!" Lash yelled and I felt bad because I knew that had to hurt but I also didn't because I saw it coming and should have known better.

So Speed kept knocking down Stronghold while Lash continued to focus on Peace and stretched up so Peace fired his fireballs at him and Lash dodged making them hit Coach Boomer and making him yell out at Peace, which I knew as Lash's way to get back at the both of them.

Then I noticed and read Will's thoughts that he had enough of being knocked down and sure enough he jumped up and punched the hardwood floors, causing it to wave up and, send Lash and Speed flying while Peace saw it coming and jumped over it. Speed hit a mailbox denting it but landed on his feet where as my poor Lash landed on and broke a bench. Leading to Will tying him up to a light post with his own arms. I felt bad but it was also funny to me...I know I'll make it up to him after this because I do feel worse for laughing at him now.

"YOU ARE SO DEAD!" Lash's voice brought me back out of my thought followed by Peace throwing his fire at Speed who was running on the glass and when the fire hit you could feel it. Before we knew it Speed was creating a vortex around Peace.

"Peace is in for it now...that vortex Speed made takes away the oxygen and no oxygen means no fire!" I said to my friends even though I was just speaking out with no intention of anyone listening.

"Smart move!" Amy said.

Time was running out and Will just stood there look at the citizen and back at Peace until finally he ran over and somehow managed to grab Speed and pick him up. He turned him to face Lash and let him go, causing him to run into Lash breaking the light post and forcing both of them into the glass. Then suddenly Will picked up Peace and threw him at the citizen!

"What is he doing!?" Ashley yelled.

"No way!" Amy yelled.

Peace caught the dummy citizen and landed on the ground before the buzzer went off.

"I can't believe it they won...Lash lost! Oh no poor thing is going to be so upset." I said to myself.

This was the most shocking thing I have seen and I could only imagine what Lash must feel like, Coach Boomer told Lash and Speed to hit the showers as the doors opened to allow everyone to get down onto the gym floor. I rushed and squeezed through the crowd to head towards Lash and check on him.

"Lash!" I called out to him just before h walked into the locker room.

"Mary?" he said turning around to show a face of pure shock...not sure if it was because of me or the lost.

"What are you doing here Mary?" he asked as I walked up to him and grabbed his hands.

"What do you mean? I'm here to cheer up my boyfriend after a tough loss." I said smiling up at him.

"Really?"

"Really Really!" I said laughing with a smile and he smiled back moving his hand to my waist as I put mine on his chest.

"You know Lash I don't think we ever had our picnic date in the park at our tree."

"I think you're right."

"So I'll make your favorite food and dessert and bring your favorite soda and we can have it tonight to make you forget about this. What do you say?"

"That sounds great." he said pulling me closer and putting his forehead against mine.

"But can you promise me not to over work yourself while cooking?" he whispered onto my lips.

"I promise." I said giving him a soft an sweet kiss to seal this promise.

So I broke away so he could go take a shower and so I can go home and start cooking for our Picnic Date!
