Chapter 16: The Following Week
The following week of school was full of fun and laugh and smiles surprisingly. I would get to school to find Lash waiting for me at my locker. He would give me a kiss and walk me to my class, he got better at the bullying thing. I knew when Speed would call for him, that he was bullying but he never did it in front of me which made me feel a little better. After all he was telling the truth about him having a reason...I just have to trust him with all my heart. The good thing was that he never missed sitting with me at lunch and we always met up after school at our tree...sense we still haven't told my parents yet.
Rumors, whispers and thoughts was all I heard everyday for the whole week no matter where I was. Many were people questioning why Lash and I were back together and that we both could do better...Some days they got to me but when I saw Lash's smile and he would kiss me and hold my hand I would forget about all of that. The week past as if it was only a couple of seconds to a minute to some music...like a short music video....but that's just my opinion. Finally Sunday night was here.
"Hey Mary."
"Hmm?" I said leaning my head back against Lash's chest as we sat in our tree with his arms around me.
"Is it ok if I mess with some of the Freshmen?" he asked a little nervously.
"You mean bully them?"
"That's a very strong word. I prefer messing with...and besides like I said before if I don't Gwen will bring harm to you, and I can't let the one I love get hurt because of me." he said snuggling his face into my neck.

"Lash..."
"Please...Let's not argue...It's just a small handful of the Freshmen....Actually just Stronghold and his group of friends." he whispered as I felt his warm breath on my neck and I was breathless for a second.
"Why them?" I asked gaining my composer again.
"Because they're freshies." Lash tried to joke.
"The truth Lash!" I said sternly as I pushed him away from my neck and stared at him.
"Fine." he sighed giving up, then he looked back into my eyes.
"Gwen has some kind of grudge against the Stronghold family." he said with all seriousness in his voice and eyes.
"Really?....Ugh that Gwen gets on my nerves that stupid spoiled princess is such a little b..."
"I know." Lash said cutting me off.
"I wish you didn't have to do this." I said leaning my head on his right shoulder.
"I know...but one day we wont have to worry about her and we can live happily together with a family of our own...minus the twins....even though they seem to stick to you like glue." he said wrapping his arms around me and getting me smile and laugh a little.
"That's better. I love that smile and laugh of yours. Don't hide them again." Lash said lifting my chin up with his hand.
"Thanks." I said blushing.
Then he gave me a short sweet kiss.
"We better go before my dad goes crazy and comes looking for me or worse sends the twins out." I told him as we separated and placed our foreheads together.
He nodded and so we got down. Him first then he reached up and lowered me down to him before placing me on the ground. We headed to my house hand in hand in blissful science.

"So see you tomorrow?" I asked as we got close to my house.
"Of course. I Love You!" he said kissing me deeply then separated.
"I Love You Too...Now go before we get caught." I said pushing on his chest.
"Alright see you at school." He said lightly kissing me on my cheek then leaving.
I finished the walk to my house and thankfully no one was home. So I went straight to my room, flopped on my bed and just dreamed of a happy future with Lash as I remembered his kiss and our talk in the tree. I feel asleep with the biggest smile on my face.
