《Pied Piper | {K.NJ}》Chapter 11

It was the day of Jimin's soccer competition. You went early to support your boyfriend who was getting ready for the match. The moment he saw you, his face lit up and he skipped towards you.
"You came!"
"Of course I did. I must witness you making history."
He laughed until his head dropped backwards. He grabbed your hand and took you to the spectator seat.
"Take a sit here. You can see me clearly from there. Is hyung not coming though?"
You shook your head with a small frown.
"He had work to do. He said sorry but he's preparing dinner for us."
"Yes a treat after my victory!"
He threw a fist in the air like he had already won the match. You laughed as you found his actions cute and he joined laughing with you soon.

Seokjin didn't really have any work to do. He did have something to do but it was not related to his job. To be honest, he never had work to do. Company work that is. Nonetheless, he needed to give a reason so he went with that.
He knocked on the door and gave a weak smile to the person who answered it.
"Hey, it's me," he said.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
You watched him play at his best condition and each time he scored a goal, he looked at you to make sure you saw it.
You looked at him fondly. You felt bad since you didn't tell him everything. Especially the part about the mysterious talking cat and beautiful late night flute performance. It would just complicate everything and you didn't want Jimin to get involved in this mess.
And of course, as expected, they won the match in the end. During the award ceremony, Jimin lifted his medal to you so that you could see it. You gave him a thumbs up.
You waited for him outside the waiting area as he took a shower in the changing room. Jimin ran towards you. He carried you and twirled you around. You giggled softly as he did.
He put you down and held your hand so that the two of you could head back.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
You pressed the doorbell as you two waited for your brother to answer. However, the person who answered was not Seokjin and he was definitely someone you weren't totally expecting so you froze at your spot.
"Oh my. Little kitten brought her boyfriend home."
"W-what are you doing here?!"
"Oh hyung asked me over for dinner."
Namjoon looked at Jimin and Jimin looked at him. Jimin bowed at him and had his hands clasped together in front.
"I-I'm Park Jimin. Mr Pied Piper?"
Namjoon let out a laughter and nodded his head.
"I'm Namjoon , Kim Namjoon. Nice to meet you. You don't have to be so formal. Just call me Hyung yeah?"

"Y-yes nice to meet you, Namjoon hyung."
You felt so awkward so you pulled Jimin's wrist and rushed past Namjoon who helped to close the door behind.
You froze again the moment you entered the dining room. You couldn't believe what you were seeing. Min was actually sitting on the chair like a decent human being. A cat sitting and waiting for food to be served patiently. Yeah totally not obvious that it is a normal cat.
"Oh my! A cat!!"
You totally forgot about Jimin and his love for animals. Just before you could stop him, Jimin had released your grip and ran straight towards the poor innocent Min. He picked it up and hugged it so tightly that Min was shocked.
Min looked at you with big eyes, asking for help.
"Jimin... you are suffocating Min."
"Oh I'm sorry. So your name is Min? It's a pretty name."
Jimin let go and smiled at it. Min studied the boy's eyes and smiled back.
Jimin sat on the chair with Min on his lap. Min didn't really do anything and just let the boy pat him.
While Jimin was distracted with the cat, you glared at Namjoon.
"What? Hyung said I should bring him along."
"My brother did?"
"Yeah. He knows Min. I mean Min has been with me since long ago."
"But you didn't use to play flute before."
You noticed that Namjoon was taken aback by your comment. He rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled.
"I knew Min even before I played flute."
You made an 'o' with your mouth. You couldn't help but be curious about his past. This meant that his duty as a Pied Piper started because something happened and that something must have had to do with Min. You wondered if there was anyone else involved.
Your thoughts were interrupted when Namjoon nudged you with his elbow. He leaned to your side.
"You can think about that later. Dinner is ready. Let's go eat."
You agreed and the two of you headed to the dinning room where Seokjin was placing food on the table and Jimin was helping him.
Min was sitting still at the side and he even helped to push some of the dishes so that it was in its place. Totally not obvious.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
All of you settled down and started eating. It was a five person table so it was spacious enough for all. You couldn't help but feel awkward when Namjoon was sitting right in front of you, beside Jin and Jimin was seated beside you. You wanted to just focus on eating normally but the thing that was making you feel most anxious was Min.
He was seated right at the head of the table and he was eating using spoon and chopsticks with his little paws. It's already amazing that he's the owner of the flute but this was just way too much. Anyone would be able to tell that he's not a normal cat.

"Aww. You are such a well-mannered cat. Namjoon hyung did you teach him?" Jimin asked as he patted the head of the cat, who just meowed at him.
"Y-Yeah I guess you can say that."
You noticed that Namjoon was trying his best to hold in his laughter. You knew he must be feeling weird. Even you felt weird after knowing that Min could talk and yet he meowed like a normal cat would but that was the only thing he did as a cat. The image just didn't fit him.
You shook your head and just concentrated on eating your food. You realised that Seokjin was being way too quiet so you glanced at him.
He was staring at his plate and not even moving to eat his food.
"Oppa, is something wrong?"
Seokjin blinked his eyes and looked at you.
"Ah... no. I was just thinking of something. Well, how's the match, Jimin?"
"Hyung! It was a very good match! The other team played really well but of course we won!"
He spoke too fast as he was way too excited and ended up choking on the food. Min passed him a glass of water and patted his back. Your soul literally escaped when you saw that.
"Thank you, Min. You are so kind."
And you couldn't believe Jimin still thinks Min is a cat. You wondered what Seokjin thinks of him and you saw him looking at the cat fondly.
"Min is kind," he said and Min turned to look at him.
You didn't know why but you felt like there is some kind of connection between those two. It was as if Seokjin knew something you didn't.
'Does he know Min is not a cat? Or is it just that they are close?' you thought to yourself.
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
Dinner ended and Jimin had to go back home. He greeted everyone goodbye, especially Min.
"Bye bye, Min. See you again soon."
He waved at him and oh Mr cat just waved him back like it's something a cat would do.
You stared at Min unamused by his actions. Jimin grinned and then held your hand.
"Bye, (Y/N)."
"Bye, Jimin."
The moment you realised that Jimin was gone and Seokjin and Namjoon were doing the dishes which meant that it was only you and Min in the living room, you turned to him.
"Are you insane?"
"What do you mean, child?"
"Well, the only catish thing you did was meowed. Aren't you trying to hide your identity?"
Min looked at you innocently and you just shook your head and let out a sigh.
"Never mind."
He titled his head, confused but decided to not ask questions.
Namjoon plopped down beside you after he finished helping Seokjin or rather because Seokjin kicked him out of the kitchen because he kept breaking his plates. Min got up and went to Seokjin who was still cleaning.
You watched the cat walk away and Seokjin smiled when he noticed him.
"You know you shouldn't be talking about another man to your boyfriend."
You blinked your eyes and looked at Namjoon who was smirking.
"What are you talking about now?"
"Well, I heard from Jimin that you talk about me."
"Wha-"
He placed his head on the crook of your neck. You were surprised by his actions and obviously your heart skipped a beat but you didn't push him away.
"Thank you for liking me," he said softly.
"I n-never said I like you."
"Heart beats don't lie."
You swallowed your saliva thickly and looked at him. He still had his head on your shoulder.
"You are the first person whom I don't need to pretend and I'm sorry that you have to go through such a thing even though it has nothing to do with you. I know I'm hiding so many secrets but I promise you I'll tell you one day."
You reached your hands on his head and ran your fingers through his hair.
"Ok then. I'll wait for that day."
••••••••••••••••••<>••••••••••••••••••
"When are you going to tell her?"
Seokjin glanced back at Min and then returned to washing his dishes.
"What are you talking about?"
"About you not being her actual brother?"
Seokjin let out a sigh and shook his head.
"What are you talking about, Yoo-"
"Don't call me that. No one calls me that anymore."
Seokjin stopped what he was doing and faced Min. He felt pain in his chest when he saw his expression. Eyes filled with sadness and guilt.
"I'm sorry, Min."
"It's not your fault. It's because of me that you have to go through this."
"No no don't think of it that way. Everybody makes mistakes. And you've done so much. You kept your promise. You made sure you take care of Namjoon."
"But my mistake made all of you suffer."
"Min..."
Seokjin walked towards Min and held him in his arms. Min snuggled and hid his face in his chest. Tears fell from his beautiful yellow eyes and he was shaking. Seokjin's heart fell as he heard him whimpering softly.
"If... if only... I arrived earlier then he wouldn't be have to go through this a-and Namjoon wouldn't... I should have controlled my anger b-but how could they take him away from me?!"
"I know. I know."
"H-he didn't deserve it. W-why is it so wrong?"
"It's not wrong."
Min wiped his tears with his paw and glanced up at Seokjin who was rubbing his back to calm him down.
"We still couldn't find him. We need answers but what's your plan? You told us to come back."
"Yeah I kind of managed to track him. It's about time we receive answers and everything will be corrected again."
