[you finally get kara

to actually talk about her feelings]

"kara- can you please talk to me?" you asked her, hoping for some answer. throughout your relationship, she was always so open and able to get her expressions out. however, lately she's been very closed off and to herself, straining the relationship some. you suspected it could be due to a fight or the fact that her friend turned out to have an evil side.

she turned to look at you as the two of you sat on a bench, a pained look on her face. "i don't know, i don't want to burden you anymore with the supergirl stuff," kara looked as though she was going to cry, tears pretty much forming in her eyes. you smile to her, resting your hand on her cheek, "kara, you can always talk to me. i'm your partner in life, and that means that we'll be there for each other."

it took kara a moment but she started to cry some, breaking down in your arms. "i don't know- i think it's a combination of things. maybe it was sam and what happened with her, i don't know. i mean i know i'm getting better, but it still hurts sometimes." you sighed and frowned a little.

"it's going to be okay. something like that can't be taken back, but you can move on and you can continue for the sam you knew and loved," you tried to ease the situation, trying to give some hope to kara. "how do you always know what to say?" she asked, looking at you with a slightly sad, slightly messing around smile. you click your tongue, "i guess when living with a superhero you learn a thing or two."
