"Ethel, come on. You can't stay in bed all day. Let me take you outside okay?" I sighed. She was getting really stubborn, but also as was getting weaker, and less enthusiastic than she used to be.
"Zayn, I'm tired." She murmured, under all her sheets.
"Ethel." I knelt down beside her bed. "C'mon. Harry will meet us outside."
Ethel didn't move.
"C'mon love," I said. "Let's go," I grabbed her wheelchair from the corner of her room and wheeled it towards the side of her bed. "I'll help you,"
Ethel exhaled, sitting up after pressing the button on her bed.
I helped her out of bed and into he wheelchair, then wheeled her out into the elevator.
I pressed L for lobby, and then texted Harry and told him to meet us downstairs.
"Talk to me Zayn," Ethel said in a soft tone. Tired almost.
"Okay," I said. "What about?"
"Tell me something you haven't really told yourself." Ethel didn't turn around. She was looking at the door.
I hesitated. "You'll be the only one to hear it out loud ever."
Ethel nodded.
"I'm in love." I smiled, loving the way that felt.
"With whom?" Ethel asked, quietly.
"With Harry." I stated, my heart pounding.
"Ah," Was all Ethel said.
The elevator door opened, and we made our way outside around the back where Vern and Alfred normally played golf, but we made our way past where the play golf to the little duck pond.
I sat down on the bench before the pond and locked Ethel's wheelchair beside my legs.
"Love is a great thing Zayn," Ethel hummed, looking right at her reflection in the pond.
"I have realized," I pat Ethel's shoulder.

"Have you told Harry yet?" Ethel asked me. "That your undeniably in love with him,"
I chuckled softly. "Undeniably? But no I haven't."
"You should,"
"He's not-" I was cut off by Harry.
"-Hi," He smiled and waved.
"Hello Harry," Ethel didn't turn around. "Sit beside Zayn. Move me," Ethel said, trying to reach the lock.
Harry unlocked the wheelchair with the press of the button and moved Ethel over so there was a gap between me and her.
Harry locked the wheelchair in place, and sat down beside me.
"Okay," He looked at me, then pat my thigh.
"Okay." I held in my smile.
Ethel was watching, I could tell as a soft little smile grew on her face through her reflection on the pond.
"She's smiling," Harry whispered, to me. "It's great to see her smile again,"
I nodded.
And then Harry gently rest his head onto my shoulder.
He closed his eyes, his hair brushing against my neck.
I was hesitant at first, but then I wrapped my arm not firmly fixed in place, but around his waist, tracing little lines along his clothed hip.
We sat there quiet for a moment, Ethel did have her eyes on us, a loving smile spread across her face.
It was moments like these that you should keep in ones mind.
The priceless moments.
Later the evening, we dropped Ethel off where dinner was being served, and mine and Harry's volunteer hours were complete for that day.
"It was a lovely evening with Ethel and you," Harry told me after we had both signed out and were standing by the doors outside.
"It was lovely," I nodded, noticing that Harry was shivering a little.
We were quiet for a moment, until Harry spoke up.

"I really enjoyed the cuddle." Harry shrugged, blushing and giddy.
My eyes widened, and my cheeks flushed red.
"I really enjoyed the cuddle as well," Then I smirked. "Maybe we should cuddle more often?" I joked.
Harry shook his head. "Okay," he giggled, hugging himself as since the sun had set, it had become a little cooler than normal.
"Here," I pulled my leather jacket off and placed it over Harry's shoulders.
"Are you sure?" Harry blushed.
"Positive," I smiled, wanting to give him a hug. Wanting to hold him as tight as possible.
"Thank you Zayn," Harry put the leather jacket on, and he looked pretty good.
"That looks better on you than it looks on me," I stated, shrugging.
"Your joking." Harry giggled.
"No, I'm not," I winked.
Harry smiled at me. "I better get going my mum is going to get frustrated,"
"I'll see you tomorrow babe." I said softly, Harry nodding and walking towards his car.
I watched as Harry got in and drove away. Just the feeling of knowing that the next time I'm going to see him is in 10 hours hurts just a little.
While walking to my car, I heard a faint sound of ambulance sirens.
I stepped into my car, and pulled out turning into the street.
My phone began to ring. Quickly, I turned it around to reveal a call from Harry.
I couldn't pick up now.
The sound came closer and closer until I could see the ambulances. I pulled over on the side of the road to let them through.
I thought they were going to go past me.
Instead they pulled into the retirement home parking lot.

I Became a [Biologist] in a Fantasy World!
I loved Biology - always have, and always will. Unfortunately for me, years of fruitless research whittled away what little joy I had left in what I did. Escapism came in the form of reading isekai works, where the stresses of real life seemed so far away.Luckily, I was summoned to a fantasy world of magic, dragons, and other mythical beasts. I didn't even need to deal with the Demon Lord threat, since it seemed that my summoning was a mistake, and all they needed was the Hero who was coincidentally summoned together with me! There was no revenge subplot, no hidden trap directed against me, and they even paid me compensation for their mistake. At long last, I could finally do what I ever wanted to do - experiment for the fun of it!With my new class as a [Biologist], none of this fantasy world's mysteries will be left untouched. Even if the Demon Lord himself comes knocking, nothing will stop me from researching every nook and cranny there is to discover of the magical biology of this world! ----I write extremely casually, and purely for leisure. Updates will likely be irregular, depending on when inspiration strikes and whether I can spare the time to work on this. Don't expect too much out of this, and certainly not anything close to professional quality! Inspired by an overconsumption of Japanese light novels, manga, and anime... expect their influence to slowly but surely take hold.
