ninth grade - freshman year

harry and leigh continued to date even though they went to separate high schools.

zayn didn't feel well about that at all, he absolutely hated the fact that harry was dating a girl.

"hey, remember that time we were in fifth grade where you didn't know what gay was?" zayn chuckled, as he and harry walked to their english class.

"yeah." harry nodded. "don't you miss leigh. i mean, like i haven't seen her since last night."

zayn sighed heavily. "you saw her last night?"

"yeah. we played wii bowling." harry grinned proudly.

"you used to that with me." zayn sighed.

"things change." harry shrugged.

"people don't," zayn mumbled.

harry was gay, and zayn knew it.

harry just didn't yet.

when english was over, zayn and harry signed out for lunch as leigh was going to meet them at a nearby pizza place.

"hi babe," harry smiled and hugged leigh.

leigh tried to kiss harry, but harry discreetly moved away.

zayn raised his eyebrows and then ordered his pizza.

he sat down and waited for harry and leigh to come.

when the two sat down, they all began to eat their pizza, zayn glancing up at leigh and harry often to make sure harry didn't do anything weird.

"why are you watching us?" harry chuckled, his arm draped around leigh's shoulder.

"i'm not watching you." zayn frowned, biting into his pizza.

"you clearly are." leigh giggled.

"whatever."
