Grey where the one that got away stayed

Yellow where my childhood memories lay

A strange kind of blue where I've buried all my hurt

A bright orange to represent the people who bring me comfort.

There are rubies where my future love will rest

The red space in my heart is saved for the best

A hollow black is saved for my vocation

For my family, a spot filled with carnations

The sapphires are for the glitter of my rhymes

Melancholy and brown for the people I haven't seen in a long time.

White for the kindness in me, to complete the picture

Even in chaos, my heart is a marvel of architecture

I kind of needed a day to appreciate myself a little more, because it's so easy to hate every little thing about yourself. It's not easy to say, "I love the way I..." But I'm sure as hell going to try.
