a cobbled road leading to your home

now bruises my knees as I run from your shadow

the kisses lingering on my skin

are ghosts of a boy who never loved me

the heart's alcove where I'd framed

a small picture of you and me

now lies buried

under soured memories

the moon can't wipe my tears away

sometimes having no answer is the only closure
