《pixie dust | nico di angelo ✔️》sixteen- big scorpion friends

daybreak and had so little hopes to create a rainbow, Nico decided we would just travel by train to the edge of the sea of monsters, or in the mortal world, the bermuda triangle.
I had always thought that the bermuda triangle had something to do with the unstable weather but Nico explained to me that it wasn't. Not in our world at least.
So here we were, in a train, waiting for forty five minutes more until we got off. Nico's been a little anxious and I wonder why.
"What's wrong?" I ask him
"It's too quiet," He muttered, he fiddled with his fingers and the air around us grew colder. I've only known Nico for two days but I've gotten pretty accustomed to him since I stuck around him like glue. When he was angry or confused, I'm not sure, but the air around us would drop a couple of degrees.
Sometimes, it reminded me that I almost fell to my death but Annabeth told me that he wouldn't have really sent me to my death. Maybe she just said that because Nico wouldn't kill her.
"What?" I asked, a bit confused. Nico didn't answer, but I suppose I should be used to that now. He was awfully mysterious aside from the fact that we often argued like little kids but that was besides the point.
"Are you sure that your mist is strong?" He turned to me, he was frowning.
I gave him an i-dont-know gesture, "I guess?"
"Okay, you sleep first. I'll take first watch," He told me and he was right, I really wanted to sleep. I know that the night was always advantageous for us children of Hecate but a good sleep sounded really good right now.
Before I knew it, I fell asleep on Nico's shoulder.

My dreams arose once again, no matter how much I didn't want them to, they still resurfaced. Oh you know, perfectly normal demigod things.
I saw my mother again, but she was running. I didn't know if this was still the present but she seemed like she was running a marathon, she was being chased.
It was so dark, I could barely even see her but, gods and goddesses often have this glow, so it helped me see her.
The very same booming voice was heard again, "YOU CANNOT ESCAPE ME,"
My mother had tears cascading down her face, and she struggled to run because of her dress. She paused and ripped her dress before running again.
I was at awe, it seemed like an action film with my mother as the main character but I knew this was real so I couldn't afford to say everything was cool.
I noticed where she was running to, she constantly passed through shadows and shadows, and was now holding a torch, running through the darkness until I noticed it.
She was running towards my house.
"Eretria!" She yelled for help, but as she got closer, the bright house we had shut its lights.
I reached out for her but before I knew it, someone else was yelling for me.
"Treya!"
"Treya! Get up!"
I scrambled up, and noticed that I was no longer sleeping on Nico's shoulder. My eyes took a minute to adjust and when I saw Nico, he was fighting a giant scorpion. No, not just one, but three.
I screamed in surprise and unsheathed my sword.
"Why didn't you wake me up any sooner?!" I asked Nico as I immediately fended off the scorpion's tail from stabbing Nico in the back.
Nico rolled his eyes, "You think I didn't try?! You sleep like a log," He noted as his dark sword glimmered along with his glittery body while he gracefully slashed through two of the giant scorpions.

"But it wasn't even that long!" I tell him as I struggled to fight back, and noticed that the rest of the passengers weren't even bothered with what's happening. They must've been seeing things differently.
Nico didn't say anything else as he continued to fight the giant scorpions. They were so huge, I was afraid the train would explode from them.
I hear Nico's breathing get unbelievably erratic, and when I look back, he's already turned one of the scorpions into dust. My jaw slacked but why should I even be surprised, it was Nico di Angelo.
The scorpions paused and something glimmered in them and all of the sudden they started attacking us in a much quicker pace, as if they were angry that Nico killed one of their kind. Scratch that, they were angry.
I started having a more difficult time blocking the scorpion's attacks, for it was swifter than a second ago. I ran away, fearing that the scorpion might stab Nico if I dodge. But the scorpion paid no mind and was about to stab Nico to death, so I did the unthinkable.
I chucked my sword at the giant scorpion.
Of course because my throwing skills were horrible, it only hit one of his scales, but it did manage to catch its attention.
I could almost hear Nico call me an idiot but that didn't matter now. I pulled out the knife my siblings had given me, and ran for it, stabbing the giant scorpion and dragged the knife along, just then a small whisper entered my ears and I mimicked the whisper, chanting it until the knife grew hot in my hand I had to let go.
I took a step back and saw that the scorpion was having a seizure. The knife that I had stabbed it with was glowing white, with specks of blue dust surrounding it and suddenly it exploded into fine golden dust. I grab my knife and when I look up at Nico, he had already killed the other scorpion.
"You casted a spell on your knife?" Nico asked as he picked up my sword and handed it to me.
"I- d- yeah," I admitted, sheathing back my sword.
Nico nodded, "Not bad,"
"My knife or my sword fighting skills?" I asked, laughing a little
Nico rolled his eyes, "You threw your sword Treya," He pointed out
"Yeah and you had the time to call me an idiot," I grumbled
Nico patted my shoulder, "But yeah, you did good,"
I smiled so hard that my cheeks hurt, Nico chuckled "Don't get used to it,"
"What now?" I ask him as we got off the train and the station, the sun already rising.
"We get a boat,"
