but I was still here, inside the Big House as they call it, alone with my eyes glued on the screen projector.

It was playing the orientation video given to demigods who had just arrived. The video currently just attacked me about how I was supposed to be here when I was just a preteen, not a whole ass teenager.

Then the video wandered off, a photo of seven people showed up, smiling together. They were beat up, some was clearly bleeding but it looked like it didn't matter. They were happy.

A huge Greek text in Arial Bold flashed, saying

My eyes widened when I recognized three of them. It was Hazel, Frank and Leo. The rest I couldn't put a finger on because I haven't met them yet, but wow.

I guess these people were a big deal here at camp.

I've met Chiron before coming inside to this orientation. He gave me the basic rules, what not to do and to do here at camp and promised me a tour after the orientation video.

I can't say I was exactly bored because I couldn't wait to roam around camp. I've gotten not too far inside and all I could say that it was beautiful.

If only I had a camera, or a phone.

I've never had a phone or anything electronic, because it seemed like Gavin knew about who I really was since I was a child and someone probably gave him tips on how to raise a demigod in a mortal home.

Then the gods showed up at the screen. The first batch were the Big Three, looking menacing then followed the rest of the Olympians. I could recognize each one of them a little, having given Greek Mythology education little by little by my brother.

Then the minor gods appeared.

Is it right to call them minor gods? I mean they weren't Olympians. But they were still gods. Is that offensive? Chiron said names have power, does it count if I offended them in my head?

I don't really know, with all these questions my head was starting to have a burnout like I've been studying five days straight.

Suddenly, my train of thoughts were tugged about when I saw the name of my mother on the screen.

I was at loss for words. I have never seen a photo of my mother. Well, maybe once when I asked Wrynn to look up Greek gods and goddesses and came across Hecate but the photo looked far from her.

I guess there were some similarities, but all the while she was different from what I had initially thought.

I was told I was powerful by the empousa at least, they were technically my sisters and maybe they only told me that to feel a little bit better.

Soon enough maybe after an hour later, after a few more educational videos of what they do in camp, horrifying me for a while, the orientation soon ended.

And I found my way back at the porch with my luggage in hand, waiting for anyone to pick me up as if I was a lost child in camp.

Soon enough I saw Hazel running towards me with a guilty look on her face.

"I apologize, I lost track of time and your tour guide is nowhere to be found- so I'm here to tour you instead!" She apologized, huffing from all that running.

I smile, "It's fine. I would honestly prefer to be toured by you,"

She beckoned me to walk with her, "Thank you, I've grown accustomed to Camp Half Blood but I still belong to Camp Jupiter,"

"Oh right," I sheepishly say, a little embarrassed that I've forgotten immediately.

"Well, if you have any questions, you can bombard me with them. Let's go,"

We started walking around, and she introduced me to the cabins one by one. A huge amount of time had already passed yet there were barely any campers to be seen.

"Um, where are the rest of the.. demigods?" I asked

"Oh, they're at the amphitheater and most demigods here are at their respective homes, in the mortal world and they often visit when it's summer vacation"

"You mean I can go home?" My eyes widened

Hazel laughed, "You make it seem like this is a prison,"

My shoulders slumped, "No offense but I loved my life back there, it was all I could ever ask for,"

"You should thank your mother for that. Because of her, you lived a very good normal life. Something some demigods could ever wish for,"

"What do you mean?"

Hazel pursed her lips, "Well, she protected you alright. But she didn't just protect you, it's like she spent so much effort and time protecting you"

I tensed, "May I ask why you know?"

"Oh I asked your half sister, Lou Ellen. She's the counselor for Hecate's cabin. It seems like she knows of you,"

"May I also ask why my mother's trying so hard to protect me?"

"I asked Lou, but she wouldn't say. I'll introduce you to her a little later, she'll probably tell you,"

"I'm not in trouble, am I?" I asked

Hazel laughed as we passed by the court and the arts and crafts building.

I shook my head, "That was rhetorical. I know I'm in trouble for coming to camp a little later than the rest of the demigod children but-"

"Chill, you're okay. My guess is that you've inherited a huge part of your mother's powers. I'm not like Nico, but I can sense how much power you have. You're strong, but over the time that you've missed your chance to train, they sunk deep"

I sigh, "So I've been told,"

"Really?"

"Yeah, by one of my empousai sisters. I was too stubborn to understand anything. Still am actually, I'm just slowly processing that all of this is real,"

Hazel gave me a pat in the back, "You'll do fine,"

"I haven't met a lot of demigods yet but I think you're my favorite person here," I smile, feeling moved by her encouraging words.

Hazel giggled, "Thank you,"

"May I know who your godly parent is, Hazel?" I asked, kicking a pebble.

"Pluto, but he's known as Hades here in Camp Half Blood,"

My jaw dropped, "That is cool,"

Hazel blushed, waving me off "Not really,"

"So can you raise the dead?" I asked excitedly

Hazel shook her head, "No, but my brother can"

My jaw slacked open again, "No kidding?"

"No kidding," She confirmed

"You must have some cool powers right?"

"I have the ability to pull out all the important things from the ground, kind of like geokinesis,"

"That is cool! I'm starting to see camp in a new light!" I say excitedly

"Because of our powers?"

"Yeah!"

Hazel stopped in front of a cabin with colorful stones but overall seemed like a dark cabin.

"This is your cabin, Cabin 20. Have you been claimed by your mother?" Hazel asked, as she got on the porch of the cabin.

I tilted my head to the side, "Claimed?"

"A symbol floating above your head, it's a symbol to show who your godly parent is. But you already know so it's no surprise I guess," Hazel scratched her nape chuckling.

She opened the cabin door, yelling "Hi, you guys have a new sister! Is anyone here?"

No answer.

Hazel sighed, "Your siblings aren't here or they have yet casted another illusion on me. Do you want to get accustomed to your cabin or do you want me to finish touring you?"

"I want to finish the tour please," I answered quickly, I wasn't a fan of the dark, and the cabin looked like a dark place. I think their blinds were all black or something. In the corner of my eye, I could hear a little laughter and scurrying inside the cabin.

Hazel laughed, "Looks like your sister prefer me over y'all!" She then placed my luggage inside before closing it shut.

We finished the rest of the tour. She took me to the strawberry fields, the lake, the armory, the arena, the now empty mess hall and the climbing wall with lava spewing out of it. I'd probably die if I attempted to cross it and I'm not fast enough to do so.

"Lastly, we're here. In the amphitheater." The chants were loud, you could hear it from the mess hall but I've been told it was normal.

When we entered, the entire place was not packed, but the noise seemed otherwise. Hazel did mention that there were only a small number of demigods due to the fact that it was not yet summertime.

"Treya, take a seat," Hazel beckoned. I reluctantly sat beside her and watched Chiron say things about camp activities.

"Hey, Hazel?"

"Yeah?"

"How long are you guys gonna be here?"

Hazel chuckled, "Not too long, why?"

"I don't know if I'm gonna make friends. Friends who are as nice as you."

It was a little embarrassing that I was already clinging on Hazel like a lost lamb but seeing the rest of the campers frightened me. Some were too bright, literally too bright, some looked so menacing, and some- well, I just didn't think I'd fit in.

I may be a demigod but this sixteen year old mind of mine was still as mortal as it could get.
