"Are you sure you want to do this?" Thomas asks, looking at me with a worried face. What if something wrong happens? What if you don't wake up?"

Smiling, I place my hand on his face and say, "We've talked about this one to many times. I can't help feeling incomplete. You know how much this means to me." Walking into the kitchen, I search the cabinets for a candle.

"But what if it's like this for a reason?" Following me into the kitchen, he leans on the wall and points to the cabinet two doors to my left. "What if your not suppose to know?"

"Thomas I need to know what memories I am missing. I keep seeing flashes of different things that I have no memory of doing. And when I try to think about them, I black out. For the past couple of days, I've been seeing Irina die. Memories don't just up and leave like that." Moving my hand from the cabinet, I run my hands through my hair.

"I understand but-."

"I don't think you do," I say turning to him. "Do you know what it is like to see your best friend die over and over and over again? To see yourself doing something and have no recall of doing it? Someone is in my head, or blocked something, or I don't know," I say grunting from frustration.

"Hey," Thomas walking to me and taking my hand. "I know this is hard for you, and I am sure I will never understand, but we will get through this. Okay?"

Looking into his eyes, I smile. "Okay." Opening the cabinet door, I see the candle and smile. Grabbing it, we walk back into the living room. Looking at the candles placed around the room in a circle, I turn to look at him. "Do you have it?" I ask Thomas as I walk to the middle of the circle and light the one in my hand. Sitting down, I cross my legs and sit up straight. Sitting the candle in a candle holder, I place it in front of me.

"It's right here," Thomas says showing me the plant. "Are you sure that if you use this plant it's not a trap?"

"I've known those witches for years now. They would never cross me. And, if they did, I would see it. Now, light the Ginkgo Biloba herb and wave it around me," I tell him as I close my eyes and start to breath slowly. "

Hearing his body move, I open my eyes. "Wait," I say.

"What?" Thomas says looking worried.

"I love you," I smile.

"I love you too," he smiles back.

Closing my eyes, I take a deep breath and start to clear my mind of everything. Hearing the lighter strike, I soon smell the herb and try to concentrate on it. Feeling myself get woozy, I remain focusing on the herb.

"Focus," I say out loud to myself. Feeling as if my brain is starting to split, I groan a bit as a blurry vision starts to come in view.

"You can't do this!" I yell.

"I can do as I please! And I will!" shouts back a deep voice.

"This is the memory I've been seeing," I feel myself say out loud.

"What do you see?" Thomas asks.

Feeling the memory come into view, I see myself standing with my arms at my side as something is in my hand. I am yelling at a blurry figure. A man. But who?

"I can't allow you to do that! I can save her! I can protect her!" I shout to the blurry figure. "You don't know her like I do."

"I will protect her! Does she know how fake you are? Your lies? How can you protect her?"

"You just want to own her! You want her for your own reason's you selfish prick! You don't think I don't know about you getting her to help you? Your using her!" I shout as I grip an item in my hand harder.

"I wouldn't dare use her! I love her!" he shouts back.

"I am arguing with someone. A man. We are arguing about a girl. We both want to protect her but," I say.

"But what?" Thomas asks.

"You can't," I say shocked by his words. "Your going to get her killed. I won't allow you to have her. Where is she? Irina? Irina!" I shout storming pass the blurry figure of the man. Marching up the stairs, I shout her name louder, but she does not answer.

"Where is she you bastard?" I ask turning around to him. "What did you do to Irina?"

Feeling myself start to breathe hard, I start to shake.

"Baby? Baby what's wrong? Amelia! What's wrong?" Thomas asks as I feel his voice come closer to me.

"It's Irina! She's the girl we want to protect! It's Irina! Don't move me. I need to see this through," I say with fear in my voice.

"She is home, safe. I compelled her to forget, as I will do the same to you. Her gift is far to dangerous in the wrong hands, yours is too. I am doing this to help you. Why can't you see that? This is why you found me in the first place is it not?"

"No. No! Noah, don't do this. You can't have her. I've seen it. You can't keep her to yourself. She will have his baby."

"Not if I can help it," Noah says.

"You can't be serious? You know what she is, you know what she is capable of, she needs to know who she is so she can be ready when they come for her. We all need to be ready!" I shout as my voice trembles. "They will meet each other sooner or later. He can protect her. Just go to him."

"No. I will protect her Amelia," he says with a soft voice as he steps forward. "I will protect both of you. I just love her to much to let her go. Damn sure not to some filth like him. We don't need mutts. You will understand all of this soon."

"Noah, please don't compel me," I say as I reveal a wooden steak in my hand.

In one quick motion, he smacks the wooden steak out of my hand and looks me in the eyes. "Amelia, I want you to forget," I hear Noah say as my mind starts to split.

Screaming out in pain, I feel arms shaking me. "Amelia snap out of it," Thomas says with panic in his voice. "Come on, open your eyes for me baby!"

Feeling my eyes shoot open, the candles blow out and a vision comes to me. The vision of Irina in a car crash. The vision of Irina dying. Feeling tears stream down my cheeks, my sob grows louder and louder. Screaming, I hug myself close.

"Amelia, what's wrong?" Thomas asks looking at me worried. "What happen? What did you see?"

"Iri- Irian. She, she she, she's dead. I saw her die! What are we doing here? We need to go," I cry. "We need to go to the hospital right now!"
