《The Insemination》Chapter Seventeen

Seeing a sign that says Restroom, I turn to my left. Rushing closer to my destination I hear my name being called. Reaching the door, I pound on it and when no one says anything, I open the door and rush to the toilet and release my breakfast.

"Irina," Ezra says as he comes into the bathroom. He rushes by my side and starts to rub my back like before.

"Stop," I say once I feel my body being finished throwing up.

"What?" Ezra says with his hand still on my back.

"I said stop. Don't act like you want to be my friend when you have been nothing but a complete ass to me. I understand I'm carrying your child, but trust me I can take care of myself."

"I do not see how I have been being an ass to you," Ezra says scrunching his eye brows together.

"Oh please," I scoff. "You stalked my house, you didn't leave when I told you to, you told me you were going to take me to court for my unborn child, and you tell me I cannot see my doctor anymore and I have to see yours! Sounds like a complete ass to me."

I walk to the sink and make the water warm before I cup my hands together and splash water on my face. Turning the water off, I grab a couple of paper towels and dry my face.

"So do me a favor, don't try to be nice or even an ass. Let us see this situation as a business deal. Once the baby is born, the business deal can just start. Other than that, I and I alone can take care of myself."

Walking to the bathroom door, Ezra grabs my hand. "Wait. I'm sorry, but I can't allow you to do that. I am going to be with you every step of the way. I need to. Dr. Smith wasn't lying with what she said. I am forever in your debt Irina. This baby means the world to me," he says as he looks into my eyes.

My heart beat stops for a second and starts back as I get goosebumps across my arm from his touch. "We will figure this out. Okay?"

Finding no words to say, I find myself nodding my head. Ezra walks ahead of me and holds the door open. Walking out, I smile as I think back to earlier.

Maybe, just maybe we can be together.

"Are you okay?" Dr. Smith asks rushing to me.

"Yes ma'am. Just a little morning sickness still. Maybe when I come back to my appointment in four weeks you can help me with more information on being pregnant," I tell her.

Dr. Smith and Ezra look at me with smiling faces. "I will look forward to seeing you here in four weeks," she smiles as she sticks her hand out once again. Doing the same, I shake her hand and watch her walk off.

Why am I always one to compromise?

"Ezra?" says a soft voice that makes me turn to it. "Oh there you are," smiles the woman. She has jet black hair as her face makes her appear Younger than what she probably is. She has a few freckles and has her short hair down as it complimented her deep blue eyes and black dress.

"I told you everything was going to be fine," Ezra smiles at her as he embraces her in a hug.

"I know. I just wanted to be here with you. Is this her?" she asks as they break apart and she looks at me with a frown. I feel a small pinch of dislike from her. I always know when someone is lying and I cannot tell when someone dislikes me, but I promise I can feel it from her.

"Yes, it is. Irina, this is my girlfriend Yuri. Yuri, this is Irina."

And this is the reason why I don't believe in fairy tails and happily ever after's. At least I know now I cant get attached to him.

I smile bright as I feel part of my heart break. "Nice to meet you," I say sticking out my hand to shake hers. She gladly takes it but quickly lets go to wrap her arms around Ezra. "Baby are we still going to the meeting? You know how much the," she stops and glances at me. "People don't like to wait," she finishes.

"I have to take Irina home and then I will be there. They must understand that this was far to important, but do not tell anyone. Not yet," he tells her. Yuri smiles and stands on her tiptoes to kiss him.

I quickly turn my head away to something as I give them privacy. Instead of staying around, I decide to go back to the car and wait on him. As I walk pass people, I smile and speak to a few as some didn't speak back or gave a small wave. I smile even bigger as I see the front door. Opening it, the sun's rays shine bright as the heat from it is hot, but the wind makes it bearable.

Remembering where he parked, I walk to the parking lot and smile as I see his car. "Irina," I hear him call out. Instead of looking back, I continue to his car.

"You know I can take the bus," I tell him.

"Why would you take the bus?" he asks me.

"Because you have a meeting. I do not want to be in the way of your meeting," I tell him as I hear the door unlock. I get in the car and close the door behind me.

"The meeting will be able to wait. This could not," he says once he is inside the car and closes the door behind him.

"If you say so," I say looking outside the window. Hearing my phone vibrate, I take it out and smile at the caller ID.

"How can I help you Amelia?"

"Irina where are you? Your suppose to help me pick out a design theme for the wedding."

"Crap. I forgot. Okay, I am on my way now. Where are you?" I ask looking at Ezra who is looking at me with confusion.

"I'm at home. Thomas and I are here with the wedding planner."

"Okay. Here I come," I tell her as I hang up the phone. I look to Ezra and smile. "Thanks for the ride home but no thanks, I will take the bus."

I reach for the car door handle and hear a click. I look at Ezra and frown. "Did you seriously just lock the door? Do I need to get my taser back out?"

"No," Ezra laughs. "Where do you need to go? I'll take you."

"But your meeting," I say reminding him.

"The meeting can wait. Right now, the mother of my child needs my help. So, where to?" he asks as he cranks up his car.

"Wow," Amelia says as she looks Ezra up and down.

Ezra and I arrived not to long ago as we are now outside Amelia's houses as she demanded to meet him.

"Well you definitely don't look like a homeless man," Amelia jokes.

"Excuse me?" Ezra asks looking confused.

Slapping Amelia's arm, I frown. "You met him. Happy now?"

"Very," she says looking at me. "Oh, and after you are done with your maid of honor business, Thomas and I want to talk to you about moving in. We feel like that place is too small and plus you are going to have a baby soon."

"What? No. I'm not going to move in with you two," I say shaking my head no.

"Actually," Ezra says interrupting. "That is something I want to talk to you about."

I look to him in confusion.

"I want you to move in with me," he says.

My eyes widen. "What?"
