《Ruby X Depressed Male Reader》First Day

You slowly awoke in your new room at Beacon. You looked around after you admittedly had on of the best sleeps of your life. You looked around the room to see all the beds empty. On the lower part of your body, you felt it. It was warm, comfy and just...perfect. Before you would look, you could see Weiss standing at the foot of her bed.
Weiss: Oh, you're finally up.
(Y/N): Sorry, I didn't mean to! I-
Weiss: It's fine. It's the weekend. I'm going down for breakfast. Just make sure to wake her up.
(Y/N): Who?
Weiss: Ruby.
(Y/N): What?
Weiss gestures to your lower body. You look down and gasp at seeing Ruby cuddled up to you, smiling. You realize that she was the one giving off the comfortable feeling from earlier.
(Y/N): How long has she been here?!
Weiss: She went down in the middle of the night. Yang recorded it.
(Y/N): Why?
Weiss: I don't know. Nor do I care. Just get her up and come down for breakfast. I don't want you missing it! You need it.
(Y/N): O-ok. Um, can you help me here?
Weiss: You're on your own for this one.
(Y/N): Weiss! Weiss! Please.
Weiss ignores you and leaves the room. You sigh a bit of annoyance and look back to Ruby. She just cuddles up to you and sighs and smiles. You gentle shake her.
(Y/N): (Whispering) Ruby. Ruby!
She opens her eyes and smacks her lips a bit. She looks up to see you and smiles. She suddenly comes to the realization and drops her smile.
Ruby: (Y/N)! Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!
(Y/N): No! It's fine.
Ruby: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. (She glances at your chest and realizes she is still cuddled up to it.) I'm sorry!
She lets go and you sit up.
(Y/N): Ruby, it's fine. It's just...why were you doing that?
Ruby: I...I thought you were cold. And-and you were kinda warm. And you just seemed to lonely.
(Y/N): ...ok? Let's...just get something to eat.

Ruby: Sure.
Both you and Ruby get up to eat breakfast. Ruby comes out from the bathroom changed into the outfit she had on yesterday while you remain in the only cloths you had with you, your work cloths from home. When Ruby looked at you, she gave you a questioning look which quickly morphed into an understanding one.
Ruby: Don't have much to wear, huh?
(Y/N): N-no.
Ruby: Welp, I guess after breakfast, that shall be our mission! Now come on, I'm starving!
Ruby grabs your hand and practically drags you out of the room and down to the dinning hall. Upon reaching the massive hall, you are in total shock by the size and scale of the room. Ruby takes you in a line with other students to an assortment of foods.
You didn't recognize half of the food and you didn't want to hold up the line so you just got the same thing as Ruby. You looked around the room for an empty space to leave Ruby to her friends, though like the line, she pulled you over to a table with the rest of her team sitting there pulls four new faces.
Ruby: Hey guys.
Blonde Hair Boy: Hey, Ruby! Who's your new friend?
Ruby: Jaune, Pyrrha, Nora, Ren. This is the latest addition to Team RWBY, (Y/N) (L/N)!
(Y/N): H-hi.
Jaune: Oh yeah, Yang was telling us about you. Sorry about what happen to you.
(Y/N): It-it's fine. No need to worry.
The one known as Nora wrapped an arm around your shoulder and pulled you bit closer.
Nora: Don't worry, buddy! We'll get you to tip fighting shape and BREAK THEIR BONES!
Ren: NORA! (She let go and returned to her spot) Pardon her, she's...different.
You looked back at Nora who had a fork in her mouth while trying to balance an egg with a bowl on top.
Pyrrha: Well, I'm Pyrrha Nikos. It is a honor to met you, (Y/N).
(Y/N): T-thank you.
Yang: Well, what are you doing standing around. Come on, sit down.

You and Ruby sit down next to each other and start eating. You take a few bites from a bagel like object and you felt like you were in heaven. It was amazing. You took a few more bites from the different foods.
Ruby: Jaune, Ren. We need your help.
Jaune: Sure, what's up?
Ruby: Unfortunately, due to (Y/N)'s life conditions, he only has this to wear. So, if you could help us out in Vale...?
Jaune: Yeah! Ren?
Ren: I don't see why not.
(Y/N): N-no. It's fine. I-I can do it. I don't want to be a hassle.
Jaune: Dude, come on. It's the least we could do. Besides, it will give me something to do today.
Yang: I'm coming with!
Ruby: Sweet!
Yang: Yeah, if handsome needs someone in the dressing room for "help"-
Weiss: Yang! Just stop it!
Yang: You want him too!
Yang leans over and fells your bicep. Ruby swats Yang's hands off you.
(Y/N): T-thanks, Ruby.
Ruby smiles at you and you both continue eating.
_________________________________________________________
You, Ruby, Weiss, Yang, Jaune and Ren are walking through downtown Vale. While a majority of the group just walked through the city, you were taking in the sights.
Ruby: Never seen Vale before?
(Y/N): Uh, n-no. Haven't seen a lot of places before. Lived in a concrete room for years.
Jaune: That's awful.
You nod and look a bit scared. Ruby sees this and takes your hand in with hers. You look at her then the hands and back to Ruby. You blush as does Ruby.
Ruby: It's ok.
You nod and keep walking with the group. You all go into a clothing store. After a bit of selection, you entered the dressing room to try on what they had chosen. You came out wearing a (F/C) shirt with a black jacket, blue jeans and some sneakers donated by Jaune.
Weiss: It looks good, but I'm not sure it screams you.
Jaune: I think he looks fine.
Yang: You've got that right! Rawr.
(Y/N): Y-Yang. Please stop.
Yang: Fine.
Ruby: How about you try on something else?
You nod and walk back in with a new set of cloths chosen by Ren. Yang walks over to Weiss and leans down to her ear level.
Yang: (Whispering) You have to admit, he does look good.
Weiss grew a smile and nodded. You came out in a robe like clothing. After a few more tries, you decided on the first set and the last set to buy. Weiss paid and said it was a "Welcoming Gift". After returning to Beacon, Ozpin called you down to the training hall. Once you arrived, Ozpin and Glynda gave you the same task yesterday.
While you were moving the blocks, Ozpin came in a small box and placed it on the ground.
Ozpin: (Y/N).
(Y/N): Y-yes?
Ozpin: Once you have completed this task, I have something for you.
(Y/N): O-okay.
Glynda: Just focus, (Y/N). You getting closer.
You kept moving the blocks and you could envision the tower with the blocks. You kept up the idea, but you couldn't keep it up and fell to your knees, panting.
(Y/N): I'm sorry. I just...can't.
Ozpin: Excellent, (Y/N).
You looked up and gasped at the sight. The blocks were stacked as you envisioned. You couldn't believe it. It happened.
Glynda: While you did complete the task, I believe it was out of luck. We will continue to do that exercise tomorrow.
(Y/N): Y-yes, ma'am.
Ozpin: Good. Then, your gift.
You looked at the box and walked over to pick it up. Upon opening it, you saw a scroll and some cloths. You gave Ozpin a questioning look.
Ozpin: A custom scroll to keep in contact with myself and your team. Along with Beacon Academy uniform. If you are attending my school, you'll need to wear this.
You form a smile, one you haven't had in years. Ozpin smiles back as you run to your dorm room to show it to your teammates.

An Unwavering Craftsman
Given the hereditary nature of classes, everyone expects Damien—the child of two high-tiered adventurers—to be granted a high-tier combat class of his own. Expectations are betrayed, however, when Damien finds himself instead saddled with a crafting class of the lowest possible tier: [Neophyte Tailor]. Left practically crippled compared to those with better classes, Damien wants to avoid becoming a pawn in the machinations of the nobility, desiring only to grind his level in peace while wondering why the usual rules of inheritance were broken. Was it his desire to excel by his own effort, rather than an unearned blessing from a god? Did the Five take offence at his opinions on the unfairness of hereditary classes? Or maybe it was something to do with the alien voice that intruded on his ceremony? A voice that offers great power, and freedom from the tyranny of the Five, but that never names its price. This story is litRPG-lite. While the class someone possesses controls most of their lives, people don't get dinged at for every level they gain, nor can they see their status without undergoing a special ritual. The MC has no romantic interest. Crafting is merely a way to game the system, and doesn't feature heavily in the story, aside from a few descriptions on how they're carrying out the system abuse. There is, on one unfortunate occasion, maths. The pace is quick. This was a participant in the Spring 2022 writathon. (i.e. it was posted as-written at high speed. I may give it another editing pass in the future.)

Birth of an AntiHero
AntiHero's FIRST REWRITE IN THE WORKS - thanks!! :] EDIT 2/28/22 - sorry, health problems right now, but I will post after rewriting the first 80-90,000 words or so and start fresh from there! Expect the change to be uploaded before summer! So long as I can keep using my hands, that is~! ^_^ X] This story will indeed get fleshed out as my vision improves for the better. But I feel the need to emphasize that a lot of parts are written in improvised comic book format as my primary writing style, and this first book is actually the entry point and starting novel for an entire very vast series I am in the works of developing. Many side characters here will eventually be main characters with there own stories; long or short. But this one particularly will be focused and centralized around Noel. Because of this, I do plan to leave the introduction for side characters as still having a special flow for readers to witness a tad of their background, so keep that in mind after my 'obviously many' rewrites from now and going into the future! Sorry for the troubles! I will improve on my style and implementation of the story!(Although I DO plan to keep parts as 'play style' or rather, comic book style, since I find it easier for certain dialogue instances as well as the fact that the novel is inspired by that 'feeling' you get while reading comic books. But my style is still evolving, you were warned!) Thank you! - Noel Tyler Malierano. He's the youngest 'son' to receive approval from 'The Malierano Family': A Criminal Organization of hitmen and hitwomen that specialize in killing, even maintaining success within a vastly superpowered society. Noel finally manages to complete his training as the newest 'Elite' killer his family created...but, there's just one problem - He doesn't want to kill! Come along and delve into a society of conflicting morals through the eyes of a boy, desperately searching for a new path to follow. Can he even manage to free himself from his father's engrained teachings and ideals? Conversely, will killing prove a lot more difficult to ignore? --- --> Thank you very much for reading! It would be helpful for me if you all consider leaving me a comment or an inbox suggestion, a review or even a full rating wherever AND whenever you believe I need to improve on anything or if something I wrote irked you! I appreciate EVERYONE that comes to read my story, however I DO want to improve my work as a writer. I hope all of you who don't like my work will let me know somehow, so I can edit and IMPROVE my story as a whole! Thank you everyone for your time! --- JUST TO NOTE!! When a character has a cultural name like, say, a Japanese or Russian name, that is because that character IS Japanese or Russian! They don't have to be FULL of one ethnicity either - sometimes they will be mixed. This story mainly takes place on an artificial continent where all countries have sent over their respective talents, meaning characters of ALL cultures and ethnic backgrounds will show hints of that in their names. Please don't assume I'm just randomly naming characters names that don't match them. And feel free to talk to me about whatever in my story troubles you - no matter how small! I love to improve. ^-^ X] --- Just to note: Characters will slowly grow as time passes. Slow pace. THANKS for reading! Enjoy! :] --- Decided to post 2 chapters every Tuesday and Friday instead of taking a small break, but I MAY upload once in a while on different days, such as Sundays, in addition to those two. :]
