*Marinette POV*

The sound of sirens sent my ears ringing. It spooked birds and villagers and every living thing nearby.

I was forced to get dressed in a minute. Then, I met my commander, Adrien, and dad at the stable where we mounted our horses. Soldiers jogged in and out of buildings. Some tacked up horses, others helped put on armor and organize weapons.

"Are they near?" I asked.

"A scout spotted an army marching our way. They wore Chloe's symbol," My father replied. "Marinette, is there anyway I can convince you to not fight?"

"Sorry dad. But what kind of queen would I be if I didn't fight for my people?"

Rose and Alex's armies arrived a few days before; but I wondered if maybe war could be avoided? Maybe I could talk Chloe out of it, but she'd most likely decline if it meant she doesn't get Adrien.

My father and the commander stayed behind to check on soldiers and go over strategies. Adrien followed me to the field where both sides would meet.

About an hour later, soldiers lined up behind me. The outside defenses had shields, others stayed at the base with bows, and the rest were either mounted on horses or walked on foot with swords. I rode in front where I could see Chloe riding towards me.

"Dupain-Cheng. This is your last chance! Give me Adrien or face mass destruction." Chloe demanded.

"He's not yours Chloe! He can make his own decisions. Besides, my friends and I are not going down without a fight," I said sternly. "But, we can stop this! We don't have to fight over something so small, you'll find someone else!"

Chloe snorted. "Wow! I don't need to stop, or find someone other than Adrien! He will be mine."

"Suit yourself. See you on the battlefield."

"Ha! You think I'll be on the battlefield? I'll be watching from a distance. Can't risk getting my outfit dirty. I'm already on a horse, don't need to be seen fighting," She snorted.

We rode back to our armies.

"Marinette, are we really going to do this?" Adrien asked.

"I guess so." With that, Adrien turned and rode off somewhere. I was about to ride after him when a scream called my attention. I looked to find a soldier clutching his leg in pain. An arrow had struck him. Knights carried him to the back where doctors tended to his wound.

Anger filled the injured soldier's friends, they shouted and took off to fight. Chloe's knights responded and ran to fight too.

"Wait!" I involuntarily yelled. No one listened, only more soldiers rushed to attack.

I spun around to see horses run into each other; soldiers tossed from their mounts; knights being struck with swords and arrows. Shouts and screams sounded. Horses' whinnies and shrieks sent my heart racing.

A while later, my army cheered. They defeated our enemies. I caught sight of Chloe. She wore a smug look, it wasn't over.

We stood, exhausted, waiting for a messenger to appear.

"Look!" A soldier shouted.

Suddenly, large fleets of soldiers emerged from the wooded area.

Fear struck my army, some called for surrender. Others rallied them up, calling: "stand your ground man! We fight for honor! Don't throw that away!"

I looked around furiously, trying to find Adrien. There were too many soldiers around and too much noise. Next thing I knew, we ran towards the enemy. This time, my knights were being struck down, tons at once. We're not going to make it, I thought.

I screamed when my horse had been struck and tumbled to the ground. Tears filled my eyes watching the mare shriek while struggling and kicking to get up. I turned to see a sword swinging down on me, then another stop it. I rolled out of the way and struck down an enemy soldier.

I focused on fighting; one after the other, I took down our foes. Arrows shot down and struck masses. More arrows followed. Stray horses ran and people struggled to get out.

Thinking quick, I grabbed a horse by the reins and hopped on. The stallion struggled against my commands but eventually did as I directed. I used the stallion to crash into enemies and to get a height advantage. I jumped off my mount and attacked more enemy knights.

When they seemed almost defeated, more enemies appeared to fight. I felt overwhelmed, this battle seemed like it would never end.

After a while, so many had died, dunes of dead bodies formed. It was a horrid sight. Chloe's forces ran around my army and forced them into a circle. Everything went silent, a wall of shields kept us inside their circle, we couldn't find a way out. After a moment, lances appeared from behind the shields. They struck and took out the outer knights, making the circle smaller each time. I was stuck in the middle; we were so closely packed we couldn't move, I struggled just to keep from being pulled under the crowd of men.

My force was getting smaller, everyone's confidence was decreasing quickly, while Chloe and her knights wore smiles on their faces.

I spotted Adrien, he sat on his horse next to a blonde woman who looked similar. Both looked confident. I wondered if he betrayed me, here I was, death upon me, and there he was looking confident.

I heard shouts and cheering from the woods, thousands of soldiers emerged. They ran and circled Chloe's army. They began taking them out, eventually freeing what was left of my soldiers from the death circle. I turned back to Adrien, now he wore a smile on his face. Everyone on my team smiled and cheered. I could see Chloe in the distance with other commanders turn to ride off, while all of my knights rested, some prayed, others cried in relief.

I stood in astonishment, I was thankful for everyone's help.

"Soldiers, doctors, and everyone else! We have defeated the Bourgeois, and it's all thanks to you. I am forever in your debt! Honor lies with the soldiers who gave their lives to defend and fight too. We will never forget them, and it's thanks to them we live. However, tonight, we sleep with peace and proudness, and I welcome all of you to visit my kingdom where I give you shelter, food, and drinks. I owe everything to you!"

Cheers and clapping sounded in the crowd.

I smiled and clapped for the soldiers. I then made my way to where Adrien now stood. He pulled me into a tight hug.

"Oh gosh Mari. I was so worried," he whispered. "I didn't fight because I went to get someone. While you were gathering forces with friends, I wanted to help too. So... I went to ask my mother for help."

"Your.... mom?" I asked, speechless.

We stopped hugging and I looked to see the blonde woman again. This time, I got a better look. She had bright blonde hair, and green eyes just like Adrien.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Madame Agreste," I said with a slight bow. "I want to thank you and your army for your help. Without you, I don't know if we would've won, or if we would've even lived!"

"It's no problem, anything for my son's girlfriend!" The woman chuckled a bit at Adrien's reaction. My cheeks reddened.

"Well..." Adrien spoke." I do have an amazing girlfriend." He turned to smile at me.

Back at the castle, tables were spread around the courtyard, maids and butlers served drinks and food to the soldiers. Villagers from the town donated foods and played music in gratitude.

"M'lady? Would you join me in a dance?" Adrien smirked.

We both broke out in laughter.

"Of course, Chaton."

"They're definitely getting married," Alya spoke.

"Of course!"

"I would die if they didn't!"
