《MLB Medieval Diaries》Diary Entry #1

It had been many months- almost a year- since we had won the war. Just like I promised, I backed up Alix's plan to invade Chloe's castle and village. Even though a part of me wanted to give the blonde mercy, despite everything she'd done. The Bourgeois were no longer the mighty and strong, their reign had drastically fallen. Chloe and her father were forced to move somewhere else, and their land had been turned into a trade port- however, no one knew what to do with the castle. In the end, we decided to use it for parties and such.
Adrien's mom decided to stay in a guest house. She admitted that she wanted to stick near Adrien and I just to see our wedding and future children. You can imagine how flustered we both became!
Months later, Adrien had taken me on a trip to Palombaggia Beach on the island of Corsica. It was the prettiest island I'd ever seen. One night, Adrien led me to a secluded area where the sunset could be seen the best. Candles lit the area and it was the best time I had in a while. It was corny, but I realize I hadn't had a moment alone with him for a long while. After defeating Chloe, we had so much work: helping Alix invade, recuperating the army, deciding what to do with Chloe's old land, repaying Rose, and regular ruling work.
To be alone, in an amazing place, alone with this corny cat- was the best feeling.
"I love you, Chaton," I said, out of the blue.
I felt Adrien suddenly look at me. His cheeks flushed pink, and he responded back: "Je t'aime, princess~."
I chuckled to myself, and looked at the dark sea, with a bright sun disappearing on the horizon.

"Marinette?"
"Yeah?" I said, turning to face Adrien.
I squealed when I found him on one knee, ring in hand, and a nervous smile on his face.
"Marinette Dupain-Cheng. I've known you for so long M'lady. We fought together as superheroes and as rulers in many battles. I was so happy when I found out you were Ladybug, I thought my life couldn't get any better! I remember the moments we shared: the picnic, dancing at the ball, fighting Chloe and Volpina; I always admired your courageousness and bravery, your strength and passion to help your friends and family. I want to be at your side every day and support you and love you for the rest of my existence. Marinette- will you marry me?"
I cried with excitement. I felt like the luckiest person in the world. I think I made Adrien nervous when I stopped functioning. Once I had calmed down, a stampede of "yeses" hit him.
We had never felt our love flaming like it had that night. We had never kissed so passionately, sincerely, and emotionally.
A/N: I'm ending this chapter here :) Sorry it took me so long! I'm internally yelling at myself. But! I wanted to make their wedding a full chapter by itself instead of a small diary entry. This is the only chapter that lives up to the story name XD Thanks for reading!!!

The System Slaves
Heroes selected from all races competed to prove their race worthy of living free. The Troll heroes failed... miserably. Their Race is paying the price. Most Trolls lost their sentience. This Troll did not, and now he must serve the system and try to prove his race worthy of redemption. Thing is, it's hard to save a race when you can't understand the squiggles that appear in your vision. It's even harder to save a race when you can't tell which thoughts are yours and which thoughts the system put in your head. And what do you do when you never loved Trollkind in the first place? .......................... Update Schedule: Two or more chapters a month. 1500+ words. I am a new writer so bear with me, correct my grammar, and point out things you want to add. I plan on finishing, it may take a while though. The cover isn't mine and isn't exactly the way I like it, I'll be on the lookout for something that fits better. ....... This is a Litrpg story, I kinda regret making it so, but what's done is done. The system is clunky and I forget stuff sometimes, don't hesitate to point out stuff that looks wrong or is wrong. There will be some cultivation aspects and some kingdom building later on.

Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
