BLACK LIVES MATTER

hi all,

i hope you are all doing well. i would like to address some of the things that are happening in the world...

Black lives matter. there is no room for argument about human rights. its not a political thing, it is merely a human rights thing. if you feel the need to say "all lives matter" or "blue lives matter" then please reach out to me so i can have a conversation with you about why Black lives matter. if you have been silent, speak up. if you unsure, listen. if you dont understand, educate yourself. Black people are dying! Black people have been dying for hundreds of years! use your privilege to make a difference. i cant help but wonder if this will be lost in the millions of other voices out there screaming for justice. im doing this in hopes that i can inspire others to take action. i am doing this so i can start a conversation. address the privilege you have, how you have used it in the past, and how you plan to use it. address the systemic racism that is in your everyday life. there are so many ways to take action, and it all starts with YOU! use your platform, have the uncomfortable conversations, and educate yourself and the people around you. if you have any questions or comments, PM me so we can have the uncomfortable conversations, and address what is happening today. i have seen the people around me stay far too silent, we need to speak up!

now, i encourage you all to diversify your feeds. i encourage you all to read books by Black authors and books with Black characters (who are the main character and not some archetype or diversity statistic). there are so many amazing books within and outside of this platform. i am making an effort to read books by Black authors and books with Black characters. amplify Black voices!
