"I thought I smelt something rotten next to Emily." A voice I knew too well said from behind us. I turned only to see Grey shooting daggers towards Hunter who returned the same thing.

I sighed and stood up only to have Hunter pull me back down and wrap his arms around me protectively.

"Can't you see we're busy?" Hunter growled and Grey snorted, rolling his eyes then turned his direction towards me.

"Let's go." He said and I raised a brow at him in question.

"Where?" I asked but Hunter beat him to it.

"She's with me!" Hunter snapped in anger and I felt his shoulders tense again. "Why can't you let her stay with me? I'm her real blood mate!"

"If you didn't know the bond between me and her is the same as yours, you're no longer so special because it means I'm her blood mate too." Grey growled and I felt tied up.

I felt special but this was too much.

"You guys are acting like babies," I complained but neither of them responded to it. "And Hunter is right Grey." The way he looked at me was confusing. Like he was sad and mad at the same time. I simply shrugged my shoulders and began drawing circles on Hunter's arm. I felt Hunter's gaze on me for a short while before I heard him clear his throat.

"Look, Grey, as much as I hate the deal I was forced to make with Emily," he sighed, rolling his eyes before looking back at Grey. "We just have to... I mean we... Gosh this is so fucking hard to say." He sighed on the back of my neck and I felt tingles run up my spine. "We have to learn to live with this okay? I'm never letting go of her, and it seems you're too stubborn to let her go anyway, p.s, you had no right to do this to her! She was mine and you're forcing her into your life!"

Grey simply crossed his arms and sighed, rolling his eyes with boredom.

"But it happened, live with it." Grey chuckled deviously and I bit my lower lip, hoping he'd stop his bad behavior.

"I really hate your guts," Hunter sneered and I patted his hand, lacing our fingers together to show him I loved him.

He smiled and leaned his head on mine.

"So you're staying with him?"Grey asked, pointing towards Hunter who ignored him.

"It's his turn, so... Yeah?" I shrugged and he frowned.

"So we're sharing!?" Grey's mouth went agape and I felt Hunter stiffen, clearly telling me how he hated Grey for reacting that way.

"Why are you surprised!?" Hunter snapped in pure rage. "You think I can let her go!? You started this mess! By asking for another mate! You've just ruined our lives, Grey! Don't make it worse." Hunter said with no regret to his words. I felt stiff and suddenly uncomfortable as Grey's expression turned blank, like he was being thoughtful.

He just turned and left without saying a word more, or less. I guess Hunter pulled on the wrong string, there goes his silent treatment again.

"Hunter!" Alpha Max rushed up to us in panic, pointing the direction of the forest. "We're under attack! We have to go!"

"Wait..." Hunter stood up confused. "Who's attacking?"

"I'm not sure, I just got a report just about now, we have to check it out before anything goes out of hand."

"Vampires..." The word slipped out of my mouth and I looked up at the two who gave me curious stares. "I don't know how but... I just saw them... and-"

"You have to go with Grey," Hunter cut me short, picking me off the ground. "I can't risk anything, even when they're not attacking. Where's Grey?"

"Somewhere around there, shouldn't be far, he looked paranoid for a second there." Max said, scratching the back of his head.

"He should just get over it." Hunter said and I rolled my eyes as he ran, searching for Grey.

It wasn't long until we found him, just sitting there and drawing random ugly shapes on the ground. He looked up at us as we neared him and he suddenly smirked out of nowhere.

"Prince charming needs my help?" Grey asked as he stood up, dusting himself. Hunter sighed as he gently put me down.

"Shut up and leave as fast as possible, we don't know if they have backups around this place. With the red moon a few weeks from now, who knows what they want." Hunter said and Grey glanced at me with a slight smile of adoration, I was now confused with his mixed emotions.

"Sure captain, let's go princess," Grey said and transformed into that menacing silver wolf.

"Make sure nothing bad happens to her." Hunter said and Grey snorted while I struggled getting on. I gripped his fur tightly and felt him flinch but managed to get on.

"I'm dangerous on my own." Grey said and Hunter nodded in agreement.

"You sure are," Hunter leaned over and gave me a small kiss on my palm, stroking it as he smiled softly. "Meet you later love. "

"Bye," I smiled back and he ran back, probably to where Max was waiting.

"Hold on tight." Grey said and I did so, gripping his fur as tight as possible, "maybe not too tight."

"Sorry." I loosened my grip just a bit and he charged into the forest, I plastered my head on him to feel less of the air resistance.
