《Blood Walkers (A Once In A Bluemoon Novel Series #1) COMPLETED》Chapter Six: deadly grounds

I glanced over my shoulder and spotted another by the corner, completely shaded by the darkness, the only visible part of him were the glowing green eyes that focused so much on me.
I felt frozen in fear as his stare dug holes into my eyes.
Immovable. He didn't move even for the slightest moment, simply kept himself to the dark, as though it was all he had. I turned away and examined the other corners of the hall.
Noted another by chandelier above. Her long straight blond hair fell in an unusually straight manner. Her orange eyes weren't looking at anything at the moment. As though she was trying to find something.
Her eyes met mine for a brief moment then eyed Grey and proceeded with her restless searching.
I checked the room one more time for another hiding vampire when I noticed a little girl, standing by the curtains, peeping directly at us and made small slight hissing sounds.
I wasn't sure whether Grey knew about this. Even if he did, he wouldn't react to it. He'd just sit there and keep note of them.
I glanced over my shoulder once more and noticed he moved. The vampire in the shadows, was now standing in the light. His stare still on me.
The greyness of his skin was very familiar to the grey colouring pencils and nothing more nor less.
I blinked multiple times but he simply stood there, eyeing me. Studying me seriously and it affected my comfortability.
His face displayed nothing. Making it more difficult for me to read him out, or making out what he was thinking.
I sighed and turned back to the man with locks in front of me. He was still grinning at me but currently talking to Grey.
"May I say dear, you don't look the ordinary," the man said. "Where's your wolf?" His voice came out hoarse and deadly.

I gasped as he crossed his brows, grinning a bit more as he brought his hands into his pockets.
"W-what-"
"Leave," Grey ordered them, standing up with a furious gaze.
"I'm not leaving," he glared at Grey who growled angrily in response. "We aren't done here, boy."
".... Then let's discuss the topic, and nothing else." Grey sat back down, gripping onto his seat. "Emily, leave."
I didn't bother to object. The stare this man gave dug holes in my head, plus, there was no other reason to stay and watch Grey, since he has finally rejected me.
And it took not more than two days....
I walked out of the halls as quickly as possible and finally let out a deep sigh. I looked back inside the room, concentrating on the guy by the corner who's eyes never left me. Not even once.
I shut the doors, finally breaking his intense stare and walked towards the doors I assumed led to the outside.
I had to leave. We've finished the rejection and now.... Time to move on.
I pushed open the doors leading to a vast field of bright green grass and a few trees here and there. Beside it was a dense thick forest that stretched into its own taunting darkness.
Leaning, sitting and laying on the ground and trees, I saw my pack enjoying the fresh breeze. I frowned when Ellen's image flashed into my mind.
"Emily!" Ryan called and I looked up at him as he ran towards me. "We have to go, we heard they have visitors."
"We have to get Ellen's body too... I can't leave her alone." I said and he smiled weakly.
"We wouldn't forget our Luna, Emily, we took her with us," he placed his hands on my shoulders and I sighed.

Wishing she'd wake up and say 'hey! I was just joking around! Fooled you right?'
*
The trees kept appearing, one by one. Giving us no hope of finding a clearing. My feet ached as I stepped on the pebbles and sand. Having worn heels, I had to take them off for a moment.
"You're going no where, you've been circling for hours," I jumped and whipped my head to the side only to notice the green eyed boy.
His face still blank as he walked to me. My pack still walked, hardly noticed that I was not following anymore as they were ahead.
"What do you want?" I asked, taking a step back from him as he got close.
He stopped walking and stood still, examining my movements and reaction.
"Nothing," he said, tilting his head to the side. "What are you?"
"I'm a werewolf," I rolled my eyes and he narrowed his eyes at me. Completely displaying his disbelief, denial and unacceptance.
"Don't think so." He whispered, his voice hoarse and fearsome. "What are you?"
I stared at him, speechless. The darkness slowly falling into the forest grew bigger and more intense. Giving a sick thrill as it blended in with the silence around us.
"How should I answer to that?" I finally asked and he glanced in all directions, his expression slowly appearing on his face.
The expression of suspicion and alert.
His dark green short but spiky hair swayed with the wind as he moved his head around. Still looking.
"Is someone out there?" I whispered. Currently noticing nothing but my ant sized pack up ahead.
"Meet you later," he suddenly said as he took several steps back. "You better run if you want to live. You don't even know who's grounds you're standing on," he smirked and in a second, he cut through the air, leaving me alone.
I looked around in fear. Who's...grounds?
Silence....
Silence....
Wind....
.........That's when I heard it.....

The Thing (Because its basically only the draft)
I want to write a story, have zero confidence. So I'll write a draft which I can constantly improve with the possible help I get here, not really interested in fame or something. But I guess want to share the story. Its a story about a guy who got transportet into another world for (atm) unknown reasons. This game-like yet fantasy world seems to be one of those worlds. He read about many of those in the japanese Web/Light Novels of the "isekai" genre. So he intends to use that knowledge.

The Ruined Monks of Rothfield Monastery
Erin is the youngest member of the dark monks; a supernatural brotherhood whose ultimate mission is to improve the dire circumstances of poor, war-torn villages using powers unique to each member. Or so he was led to believe. Erin, like his brothers, does not age, and that is, unfortunately, the only trait he shares with them. He cannot charm or compel like Woodrow, he cannot cast illusions like Knox, he was not swift like Swithin, not powerful like Blake. He was barely an assistant to his dear brother Wilbur, with his herbology and alchemy. He was told to lie low and make himself scarce. That is what he did. The dark monks temporarily reside in abandoned monasteries scattered around the country, feeding the poor and healing the sick, nurturing the monastic lands until it was fertile enough to raise crops and rear animals. As the years passed, they would leave these reformed, repopulated, self-sustaining monasteries and venture froth to help the next settlement. Yet, after years of toiling and quiet servitude, Erin notices that people and the country itself are declining. The villagers look gaunt, the once-lush soil now barren and cracked. He begins to feel disheartened, thinking that their mission is proving futile. Still, their leader Blake is steadfast and charges onward, and lately has his eyes set on a certain monastery in a thick, thorned forest that seems to diminish, even nullify their powers. A thick forest that Erin somehow has a connection to. A thorned glade where an ethereal voice calls his name with one simple request along with a promise:Heal the land, child. Heal the land and I promise to give you sanctuary so long as you stay. I promise to nurture you as you nurture me. As Erin cultivates the land, the land, in turn, gifts all its caretakers with new, enhanced skillsets on top of their unique powers -- skills of protection, healing, and magic. Magic. Erin had long wished to see the world fill with it again. The people, regardless of common or noble blood, still believe that magic will enter this world again. Magic to bless the king like it did the Saints. Magic to dispel the miasma befouling the world. Magic to bring back the fae folk and their many forms. It is up to Erin to forge the many paths leading to a bright future; to build a prosperous paradise that welcomes all races and bloodlines, by mastering the rewards gained through agriculture, horticulture, and animal husbandry, smithing, crafting, and fishing. Erin may also find a lifelong friendship and romance with his neighbor, Claude, if he decides to pursue him, and may even join him in the military campaign outside the monastery. The darkness still lurks outside, after all, and the mastery of his skills, along with a few good friends, may finally be enough to turn the tide in their favor. Most of all, Erin wants to keep the vow he set for himself: to protect everyone and everything he loves until his dying breath.
