《Blood Walkers (A Once In A Bluemoon Novel Series #1) COMPLETED》Chapter Seven: Save me

A shiver ran down my spine as I heard rough breathing behind me. swallowing hard as my throat felt tight in knots, my knees felt weak and fragile as I tried to turn, to see this thing behind me.
My body refused to turn, warning the worst of it.
I moved my head instead, glancing over my shoulder, I saw a figure, the figure of a little girl, peeping by the tree, breathing intensively as she scratched the bark of a tree.
I sighed and relaxed a bit, laughing at myself as I fully turned to the girl.
So this is what everyone was afraid of?
"Hi." I waved a hand and was caught off guard by her sharp ear piercing scream that sent the birds flapping from the trees and into the sky darkened sky.
My heart made a loud strong thud that brought all my energy out in an instant. Her body twisted in an oddly manner as she lunged for me. Her mouth seemed to have stretched to her ears, revealing black stained teeth, a long black tongue and gums with white saliva slipping off the edges of her mouth and into the air.
I turned and made a run for it as her eyes rolled into her head and gave out a menacing appearance.
I dodged multiple trees as I ran, leaping over protruding roots and dried up puddle basins, trying to get away.
The sound of harsh waves echoed into the abyss of my ears as I ran closer to the source. The creature still chased desperately after me. I came to a sudden stop at the tip of a cliff, a piece of it broke and fell into the rushing water far down. The only thing I could hear at the moment was my rough breathing. I glanced over my shoulder only to be forced off the cliff.
Its scream cut through my ears as it sunk its teeth into my shoulder. I could hardly force an attack on it, due to the air pressure below me as we fell at a great speed.
I managed to shove it from me still in midair, creating some distance between us. The air covered up my face as my front faced the water below. Water that slowly got wider as I fell.
I shielded my face with my arms and crushed into the sharp icy water that engulfed me in its waves. I flashed my eyes open as I looked around, holding my breath inside the clear water. I turned around a bit only to gasp, unmindful of the water surrounding me as I saw the creature land on a sharp protruding rock, completely crushing its abdominal and dying in an instant.

I went to the surface of the water and took in huge amounts of air as I looked around. Turning swiftly around to face dry land, I suddenly caught the glimpse of a large log rushing towards me. Before I could turn to save my life, I was knocked into the enveloping darkness once more.
*
"Come-on." I heard a voice say with desperation, followed by the sounds of rushing water and the singing of birds high above and around me. "You can't be dead already!"
A sharp but low buzz filled my ears as I felt a hard pressure on my chest, slowly clearing the buzz echoing the halls of my ears. I flashed my eyes open and chocked on water that struggled to escape my lungs. Sitting up, I hit my chest as I coughed it out, feeling another hand softly hit my back to help out.
I shut my eyes as I breathed, pain roaming my lungs as I gripped the rough sand in my fists from the pain in my chest. Clenching tightly and relaxing them as I tried to breath normally.
Once my heart stabilized and my breathing smoothened, I opened my eyes only to see those green eyes up close. Eyes that I would never forget. He just knelt in front of me, staring at me for a brief moment.
"You okay?" He asked as he reached his hand to my forehead, checking my temperature.
"I'm fine." I said as I softly shoved his hand away and shoved the wet strands of hair off my face. "Thanks."
"You're poisoned," he glanced at my shoulder and I slowly stared at it.
"It's just a bite," I said, looking at him.
"Their bites are venomous. It spreads venom into your blood system." He placed his hand on my shoulder but lower and away from the wound as he studied it. "You'll get paralyzed for nearly five hours."
"Then I heal?" I asked and his eyes came back to me.
"No, the paralysis spreads through out your body, freezing each and every muscle, if you're lucky enough, your heart won't be affected, but that's a 3 over hundred chance." He stood up, blocking the sun from my burning face. He held out his hand which I took and was pulled to my feet.
"What should I do?" I asked as fear griped the tips of my hair strands.
"First thing, stay calm, it will slow down the spreading, second, we need another Hallow to bite exactly there."
"What!?" I froze, whipping my head at him, causing some wet strands of hair to stick all over my face and he grinned at that, for the first time, revealing extra white teeth.

"It's the cure." He shrugged, whipping his head in all directions to remove the water from his hair. "Hallows aren't as stupid as you think, they won't suck it out unless you make a fair deal with them."
"Example?"
"Gold?" He suggested and I gaped at him. "Your limbs.... Anything they can get."
"I can't offer any-" my calves gave in a piercing pain as I felt it harden so suddenly that I couldn't bend my ankle and knee any more. I stroked my calves as they hardened a bit more, giving me a sharp unbearable pain.
"You don't have enough time," he furrowed his brows as he looked at my foot. "We'll think of something when we get there, you must have been in the water too long."
He carried me off the ground so suddenly and ran into the forest. I shielded my face with my hands as the air cut across my face due to his quick pace.
In no time, we were already on the cliff and in their territory. The area was deadly quiet and nothing was in sight, only the silent night that whispered deadly nothing's to our ears.
I gripped onto his wet jacket as he ran around, looking for a possible available Hallow.
Up ahead, I spotted one. Looked too small and harmless but very demonic from what I had encountered. He quietly ran to it in a matter of seconds had fly making a sound.
"Don't even think about it." he warned when the Hallow turned and grinned by the smell of my blood.
"Offer a great deal." It said as it stepped into the air, levitating in front of me as it eyed my wound.
Logically due to this hallow standing before me, hallows can communicate, which leaves me to one question, why on earth didn't the Hallow I encountered previous moments ago negotiate if I was trespassing?
My legs suddenly went stiff and a sharp pain coursed through my body, causing me to flinch and tightly grip his jacket.
"We'll get you a diamond." He offered to it and it chuckled evilly, twisting it's head in an odd manner.
"Think again." It suggested and another pain reached my abdominal region, tightening my stomach to the point I felt very uncomfortable. I flinched, stroking my stomach, only to feel it's hardness. It felt more of stone than flesh.
"I... Can give you any forest animal."
"I can hunt by myself," it walked from us, clearly uninterested with our offers.
"It's spreading." I whispered in pain and he looked at me with wide eyes then back towards the Hallow walking away.
"I'll give you alpha Grey's body!" He yelled without a second thought and I stared shocked at him.
"What...?" I gasped and the Hallow was already so close to me, taping it's fingers together in pleasure.
"Deal. I want him in two weeks, If not, you shall pay a deadly price," it warned and I gaped at it's cruel personality, not that I'm the slightest surprised.
It sunk it's teeth in and I flinched in pain as it sucked the venom out, also draining out my energy in the process.
"Done." It grinned before fading into the air, like it wasn't there at all.
My legs and stomach relaxed at last and I stood on the ground, feeling new apart from the fresh wound on my shoulder.
"What kind deal was that?" I asked him as he stared at the spot the Hallow disappeared almost seeming lost.
"Look, he wouldn't have helped you, many hallows have different tastes. This one happens to want trophies."
"But now Grey is going to die." I said and he looked up at me with a clear annoyed expression.
"Why are you worrying when you didn't accept him?" He asked, crossing his eyebrows in anger as he clenched his fists. "You clearly rejected him,"
"But that didn't-"
"You should thank me, okay, you'd be dead in a few hours." He said in a near whisper as his eyes grew a fading red.
"Why did you even help me?" I asked and his eyes were completely red as his body tensed.
"What kind of question is that?" He asked through gritted teeth. To be honest, I was quiet curious now.
"Just answer me." I said, watching him hesitate for a few moments before leaving in a flash.
Leaving me alone again.
I glanced over my shoulder and around, searching the area for predators and possible threats.
I began running, deeper into the forest, unfamiliar areas kept appearing before me as I went further. The sun descended into the mountains in a matter of time and it was completely dark out....
I was alone, not sure where my pack was.
At this moment I just wanted to go back to the place where I was supposed to call home. The same place where my so called mate is.
I have no clue of what to do at this point. The sky was slowly blanketed by thick layers of fog that hosted the coldness below it, freezing the surface of my skin in the process.
I glanced around and froze when a Hallow passed by me, oblivious to the fact I was standing behind it or it ignored me. I wouldn't want to find out either way.
