I have a trap-door tarantula, Golly. I even taught him to hide himself in case Jem or Mom comes in. They don't like spiders. Jem disliked them more than Mom. I think she is an arachnophobic.

On the other hand, Mom assumes I have my influcence from Dad. Every time I asked her about him, she sent me away. I don't know about Dad's disappearance. Only Mom told Jem. I think Mom likes her better than me.
