《MomoJirou Stories》Height

The difference in Momo and Jirou's height was noticable; Momo was one of the tallest girls in class, after all. Jirou was shorter than her, and she often envied Momo. Her classmate could easily reach higher places, whereas Jirou had trouble. This wasn't any different that morning.
Jirou had woken up early, before her louder classmates came down. She headed over to the common room's kitchen, planning on eating cereal. She had looked around for the cereal box, but couldn't find it in the lower cabinets. Groaning, Jirou already knew what that meant.
Glaring as she stared up at the top cabinet, Jirou got on the tips of her toes to try and reach. Her effort was a waste, as she still couldn't quite reach. Jirou sighed wearily as she came back down. Honestly, whoever had put the cereal that high up obviously had to be tall. She thought back to Momo, but shook her head in disagreement. Momo would never be that inconsiderate.
Speaking of Momo, she had been watching her friend curiously. After Jirou had given up in defeat, she walked over. "Hey." She appeared at Jirou's side, startling her. "H-Hey." Jirou stuttered. Jirou followed Momo's movements as she looked up at the box. "Do you need help?" Momo asked. Jirou shook her head. "I can get it myself."
"Well, can I help you get the box yourself?" Momo asked again. Jirou's frowned, confused. "What do you-?" Jirou's eyes widened as Momo bent over and looked back at her. "Get on my back." Momo ordered. Jirou's eyes twitched, wondering what Momo was even doing. However, seeing the serious look in her friend's face, Jirou complied.
"I don't see how this will-" Jirou was once again cut off as she looked around. With her head on Momo's shoulder, she could easily see from Momo's point of view. She carefully wrapped her arms and legs around Momo, being careful not to choke her. "Wow." She breathed.

"Are you having trouble?" Momo's voice cut in. Jirou blinked, before shaking her head. "I'm fine Yaomomo." Now that she could reach the cabinets, Jirou reached and grabbed the cereal. Smiling at her accomplishment, she tapped Momo's shoulder, and Momo bent down again. "Thank you." Jirou said. Momo beamed, and Jirou looked down blushing. "Of course!"
"You guys could've waited til I was finished." Both girls turned around to see Sero, holding a box of cereal in his hands.

As Jirou got to know Momo better, she realized Momo's height could be an advantage. However, being the good person she was, Jirou didn't bother Momo. However, she realized Momo's height also affected other things.
She had been spending the night in Momo's dorm, studying. They were currently discussing poetry and the different types. Jirou took different notes as she listened to Momo. Momo constantly came over and helped Jirou correct something or answer a question. Jirou had to admit, studying with Momo made everything better.
By the time they were finished, it was late. Jirou panicked, realizing everyone was probably asleep now. As she hurried to get up, Momo suddenly stopped her. "I know it is late, but if you don't mind, would you like to sleep over?" Jirou turned back curiously. I should get back to my dorm, Jirou thought, but spending more time with Yaomomo sounds awesome. "Sure." Jirou finally replied.
It was then Jirou realized she didn't have any clothes to change into. Ready to just sleep in her normal clothes, she was surprised when Momo handed her a shirt and shorts. "I knew you probably didn't have any clothes with you, so I'll just give you some of mine for tonight, OK?" Momo had a small blush on her face as she went in the bathroom to change. Jirou's reply was stuck on her tongue, so she merely nodded to herself.

Jirou quickly changed and dumped her other clothes in her backpack. Smoothing out the shirt, she saw just how big the shirt was. The shirt went down almost to her knees, stopping a bit before. The sleeves hung off her arms and barely covered her shoulders. It also smelled like Momo; peaches with a hint of something else.
Jirou heart pounded against her chest.

The best thing was just acting normal together, Jirou realized. When she and Momo reached the end of their second year, they had grown closer. Not quite friends, but not quite dating yet.
Jirou had been sitting on Momo's bed, waiting for her friend/girlfriend to get back. She listened to her music, wearing another one of Momo's shirts. Too focused on her music to notice, she squeaked in surprise when she was suddenly lifted up.
Momo laughed as she spun Jirou in her arms, the girl said holding on to her tightly. Her feet dangled in the air, and she desperately tried to reach the ground. When Momo finally let go of her, Jirou fell to the ground.
She closed her eyes for a moment, calming herself. When she opened them again, Momo was staring back worriedly. "Do you need to go to Recovery Girl?" She asked. Jirou shook her head, sitting up. "I'm fine. I think I just surprised because you appeared so suddenly with no warning." Jirou shot Momo an accusatory look.
"I'm sorry." Momo sat down in front of Jirou and crossed her legs. Jirou sighed and climbed into her lap, resting her back against Momo. "I forgive you." Momo let out a happy noise as she wrapped her arms around Jirou, nuzzling her affectionately. Jirou snorted; Momo could be adorable sometimes.
"Anyways, wanna listen?" Jirou held up one earphone piece, the other already in her ear. "I thought sharing might be nice, especially with someone else." Jirou explained when Momo cocked her head curiously. Pausing momentarily, Momo finally accepted the earphone.
Jirou smiled happily and kissed Momo's cheek in appreciation, causing her to blush. Leaning back and closing her eyes, Momo adjusted herself so Jirou was leaning comfortably against her. Opening one eye, she noticed Jirou already had closed her eyes, breathing softly.
They stayed that way, listening to the music.
