《He's mine - Nate Archibald love story [ COMPLETE ]》Chapter 10

To say things had changed would be an understatement. Word got out about Blair and Chuck's little affair. Whether people envied the drama I had in my life or pitied me, I didn't know. All I knew was that was suddenly the most popular girl in school and Blair- well her social life was struggling. Honestly, I didn't care enough to give two damns about destroying it, but it seemed Jenny did. And well, if the girl's want to play who am I to stop them?

Okay, yes. Maybe I could stop them and I was choosing not to. But it wasn't my problem anymore. She made her choice the day she slept with my boyfriend.

"Hey A, are we still going shopping after school?" Izzy asked, walking up to me.

"Of course, I need some sort of worthy outfit to wear for my mother's little party she's having." I sighed.

"Little? It's going to be jam packed with the hottest designers to date." Claudia squealed.

"Yes, but there's also going to be the skanks that try and weasle their way back to the top." Jenny pointed out as Blair walked past.

Blair stopped and turned around, obviously hearing the comment. I pursed my lips together and held in a laugh. Blair looked at me with disbelief and I just shrugged my shoulders, laughing.

"Yeah, well. That's why I'm glad I have you guys there." I grinned and linked arms with Jenny.

"Speaking of skanks..." Izzy trailed off and looked in the direction of Samantha.

"Why is she still around?" I asked with an eyeroll. I walked up to her and flashed her a smile since the teacher was looking. I slyly tripped her up and Claudia caught her by her backpack. "Carefull Samantha, you don't want to be falling into the wrong crowd now."

Me and the girls walked away from her, giggling together. We got to the courtyard and Chuck stood looking right at us, at me. "Are you okay?" Jenny whispered in my ear, so that the other girls wouldn't hear. I just nodded my head in answer and pretended to be deeply engrosed in a coversation with the girls as Chuck walked over.

"A, can we talk?" Chuck asked.

I looked at him and titled my head to the side. "Of course, what is it?"

"I wanted to say I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you-"

"I'm not hurt. In fact I'm fine. Don't flatter yourself Chuck, if I was hurt I'd be crying. Do I look upset to you?" I ranted, completely cutting him off. "As far as I'm concerned you were just a big part of my downwards spiral. But finally, I've seen the light. Thank you for helping me with that, now if you'll excuse me. I don't want to be late for class." I finished and pushed my way past him.

"If you're not upset then why are you ignoring Blair?" Chuck asked, making me stop and everyone look our way. Including Blair, Nate and Serena.

"Because...I don't associate myself with skanks." i told him and avoided eye contact with anyone as I stormed to my next class.

You know things are bad when class is your saviour. But it was music and I could really just get on with writing a song right now. Music went by quite smoothly. There were no distractions or interruptions, everyone seemed content with leaving me alone. Maybe it was because they'd never really seen this side of me? Even before dad left I wasn't an outright bitch, I was a subtle bitch but it runs in my family so I can't really be blamed.

"If you push any harder on that key it's gonna break." Jenny said. "And class has ended."

I quickly let go of the piano and looked up at Jenny. "Of course." I nodded and stood up, grabbing my bag. I flashed her a quick, fake smile before walking out.

I rounded the corridor and saw Serena standing there. "Hey A, do you have a minute?" She asked.

"No, sorry." I said and turned around to walk back the other way. Not the smartest idea in the world, but I'd live.

"Seriously, I need to talk to you." Serena grabbed my arm to hold me back.

I sighed and pulled my arm out of her grip and crossed it over my chest. "Fine, talk."

"Blair went home today."

"Cool, is that all you wanted to tell me?"

"No. She wants to move in with your dad."

I laughed and shook my head. "B won't do that. You should know by now that she's all about the drama."

"No A, I know you're sister. This is different. She's called your dad. She's in pieces. She's going to a different country. She's leaving and she's not coming back."

"Why should I care? Why should I give a damn about what she does?! I'd be so much happier if she moved. She should go and live with my dad. They deserve each other. So if you're asking for my help. I'm sorry. But I don't care."

"She's your sister, Lexi."

"She slept with my boyfriend, Serena. I mean, I know that's okay in your world but it's not in mine. Then again, I guess I could just take a ride of Nate next."

"What?" A male voice came from behind me. I sighed and turned around, running my hair through my hands.

"Nate, I didn't actually mean I was gonna do it." I told him.

"Yeah, but you shouldn't be talking about your family that way." Nate said.

"Really? You're gonna stick up for Blair. Do you know what? I don't even care enough right now. I've got shopping to do, last minute plans to help my mum with and I've still gotta try and find myself a date. I don't have time for Blair, or Chuck, or you. So if you don't mind, I have to leave." I snapped and pushed past him, I ran out to my car and got in the backseat. I leaned by head back on the backseat and blinked away my tears. I didn't want to cry, not for any of them.

I got my phone out and texted the girls, telling them to meet me in the car. Less than three minutes later and they're all sat in the car with me. "So have you decided who your date is yet?" Penelope asked.

"No. There are no decent guys around. They're either too handsy or don't know how to hold a proper conversation." I sighed. "Besides, I'm more focused on what I'm wearing rather than who."

The car pulled up at Chanel's and I smiled. "Thanks Bobby, I'll call you when I need you to pick us up." I called to the driver and stepped out of it.

We all walked into Chanel's and the sales assistant immediately greeted us. "Hello, what can I help you girls with?"

"I need something classy for my mother's party tonight." I told her. "I was thinking long and elegant. Maybe with a silver sheen?"

"I have just the thing for you." The assistant said and pulled out a floor length spaghetti strap silver dress.

"I love it!" I marvelled and went into the dressing room. I tried it on and smiled at my reflection. I looked exactly the way my mother would want me to.

My smile faltered a little. Was that who I had become? Just another Waldorf clone? Was that me? Or was I the girl who didn't give a damn and partied hard? We're they my only two options? Didn't I get another choice?

"A, are you okay in there?" Penelope asked.

"Yeah I'm fine. I look amazing." I told her before taking it off and putting my uniform back on.

"I'd like to bag this up please?" I ordered, politely. The sales assistant bagged it up and I paid her.

"Wanna grab a smoothie before we go deal with the Eleamoster?" I asked, referring to my mother.

"I-Uhm-I actually need to get back to my dad." Jenny started.

"Surely your dad wouldn't mind you staying a bit longer for your friend to buy you a smoothie?" I asked, making sure to emphasise the fact that I was paying.

"Okay, fine. He can wait." Jenny said and flashed me a grateful smile. I linked her arm and walked to the smoothie shop.

I rolled my eyes when I saw Nate in there and turned to Jenny. "I need the hottest date to take. I can't show up with some ill mannered teenager." I groaned.

"I'll be your date." Nate spoke up from behind me.

I laughed and shook my head. "Sure." I scoffed.

"No, I'm serious. I already know how to charm your mother and we get on well." He explained.

"Nate our relationship is rocky at the best of times. I don't need you trying to butt into my family dramas anymore."

"I won't. It'll purely be focused on making sure the party runs smoothly."

Penelope nudged me and gave me an incredulous look. "He's the best you're gonna get. He's Nate Archibald. I'd take it."

I looked at Nate and ran my fingers through my hair. "Fine. Be at mine for half six. If you're late, I won't let you in." I warned and got mine and the girls smoothies and left.

I texted bobby telling him to come pick us up and sat on a bench with the girls and waited.

"You're gonna have the hottest date there. I'm jealous." Jenny cooed.

"Oh shush, it's just Nate Archibald and it's not a date." I rolled my eyes and drank from my smoothie.

Bobby pulled up and we all got in the car. The whole journey was filled with them chatting about Nate. It was rather annoying, he wasn't that hot. Okay, so maybe he was hot, really hot. That wasn't the point! He was annoying and pushy and too charming. Yes, someone can be too charming.

As soon as the car stopped, I ran out of the door. There was much to do and so little time.

It took a very long, stressful time to get everything perfect, but it was. I was dressed, my hair styled in a half up ponytail. My date was hear and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. But I hadn't seen Blair all night. It was odd.

I leaned against the pillar and looked around the room.

"Champagne for my lady." Nate smiled and handed me the glass.

"Thanks." I muttered and poured the alcoholic substance down my system. "Where's Blair? She hasn't been down to bug me yet." I asked.

"Serena told you. She's leaving."

I rolled my eyes. "No she's not."

"Yes she is, Alexia. If she really wasn't going do you think she'd miss an event this big?" I looked around and my eyes widened.

"Nate, get your car. We need to catch Blair!" I told him and ran with him out of my mothers party, not caring who was watching.

We ran into his car and Nate pushed down on the peddle. I gripped the sides tightly, because Nate was going over the speed limit and it was a little scary

The whole way my foot was bouncing or my fingers were tapping, I couldn't stay still. I was too worried that we were gonna miss her.

"Blair!" I yelled as soon as the car stopped. I ran over to her and Serena. "If you leave now. I'll never forgive you. You're my sister. I need you. If you get on that plane, then it means you don't care. You don't care enough to stay and fight. You don't care enough about me."

Blair looked at me and tears filled both of out eyes as we hugged. "I'm sorry. I thought you didn't want me around. I didn't want to hurt you anymore than I already had. I love you."

"I love you too." I said with a soft smile. "I'm angry and hurt, but I'll always love you."

I made sure Blair got in Serena's car before turning back to Nate. "Thank you." I told him. "You're honestly one of the good guys Nate." I said and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek.

Nate looked at me and pressed his lips on mine. "And you're one of the good girls." He whispered.
