As soon as the radio was found , everybody realised that until the radio was fixed they still had to find a way to contact the Ark, thanks to Raven's big brain , they found a way . They took apart the pod she came in and used its components to build flares that were going to be seen by the people on the Ark .

Everybody now watched as the flares were starting to fly into the dark sky , painting it with purple sparks , their noise was filling the camp and also the cheers of the hundred .

Althea took her small cross at her neck and said a small prayer in her head , hoping the people on the Ark would see the flares .

Bellamy walked next to Althea and Clarke , the purple light dancing on him , his freckles were now more clear , all of his features were more prominent .

"You think they can see it from up there ? " Bellamy asked , his eyes still on the flares .

"I don't know . " Clarke whispered .

"We need to have hope and faith . " Althea muttered still clutching her cross , it always managed to calm her down .

"Can you wish on this kind of shooting star ? " Clarke asks out of nowhere and both Althea and Bellamy raised their eyebrows in a mocking way at Clarke .

"Forget it ." she sighed .

"I wouldn't even know what to wish for . " Bellamy admitted and Althea looked at him and pain filled her chest , how could you not wish for anything ?

"What about you , Ginger ?" he asked Althea .

"Ugh , I have tons of wishes but the only one that matters right now is the one where I wish that the flares will work . " Althea huffed . "Clarke ?"

But Clarke was busy looking at the way Finn's arm was around Raven. Althea was shocked to hear the two are a couple since he was so heavily flirting with Clarke when they got on the ground .

Althea swinged her own arm around Clarke and hugged her , Clarke rested her head on Althea's shoulder and the finger could hear her heavy sigh .

"I'm here , C ."

Althea came back to Peter's tent since she was too lazy to go back to the dropship , she had been feeling a pain nagging her middle since morning but ignored it and blamed the bad sleeping position and the dropship which was not exactly a hotel but all of the sudden down her middle she felt a deeper pain which made her hiss .

"What in God's name ? " Althea asked herself and since Peter was not there , she lowered her pants and undergarments , Althea had to ask him where he kept disappearing , she cursed like a sailor at the sight of blood . Her period was not exactly something she thought about since arriving on Earth and she remembered the excruciating pain she always felt the first day , it was that bad that Abby Griffin had to give her a pretty powerful pill for pain .

She looked around Peter's tent , she wouldn't usually go through his stuff but this was urgent , she found an old green shirt and she wondered from where he got it before she ripped it into shreds to use as pads . People in medieval times did it , she could too .

Right before she was about to place herself on the made up bed , all of the sudden Bellamy entered looking frantically around .

"Tinker Bell , heard of knocking ? " Althea asked before placing a hand to her stomach where she suddenly felt a lot of pressure .

"Have you seen Octavia ? " he asked ignoring her using the nickname she knew he did not like . His eyes were wide open and a frown was painted on his face .

"No, I thought she was off with Monty or

Jasper . " Althea admitted becoming slightly worried .

"No, I just saw them. " Bellamy replied almost immediately .

"Okay, don't panic, I'll help you look for

her . " Althea said almost jumping to Bellamy and placing a hand on his which was holding a torch to calm him down but the skin on skin contact sent her chills down her arms . "We'll find her . " his brown eyes met her green ones .

"Okay, let's go . " he said and switched his torch to his other hand and Althea was about to let her hand go but he still held his grip on her fingers and she felt her cheeks heat , Bellamy kept looking with her inside of tents, his hand hugging hers . She knew he was not having the easiest time and now not finding Octavia must have made him lose it .

The two walked the whole camp , Althea's feet were getting sore and Bellamy was practically dragging her until they reached Clarke's tent .

"You're up ." Bellamy noticed and indeed Clarke did not look like she was resting at all .

"Yeah, knowing that that hundreds of people might be dying on the Ark makes it pretty hard to

sleep . " Clarke threw a jab at Bellamy and he squeezed Althea's hand without realising making Clarke throw a look at their hands, the two quickly let go of each other .

"Raven's flares will work . " Bellamy said with enough desperation that it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself .

"Her radio would have worked better . " Clarke replied with acid in her tone and Althea quickly walked between them after seeing the look Bellamy threw her .

"Have you seen Octavia ? " the ginger asked .

"No, it's Octavia , she's probably off chasing butterflies or - "

"Clarke , we've checked the whole camp , she is not here . " Althea spoke the words she was afraid to tell Bellamy since she knew was very close to going ballistic . Clarke looked worried but quickly tried to brush it off as she met Althea's anxious gaze .

"Okay, I'll help you two find her . Let's check again , Bellamy , you go to the dropship , Althea and I will check the rest of the tents . "

"Thank you . " Bellamy breathed out but Clarke's eyebrows furrowed .

"Don't thank me . I'm not doing this for you . I'm doing it for Octavia . " Clarke said with coolness in her voice as the three parted ways .

"What was that thing between the two of

you ? " Clarke asked and Althea felt like she was about to throw up and not just from her period .

" It was nothing, he's worried about finding Octavia and I was being a good friend . " Althea explained trying to hide the fact that she blushed like a schoolgirl when Bellamy grabbed her hand .

" So you are friend now ? " Clarke asked not meeting her stare as they checked the tents .

"I suppose we are , we do have to work

together . " Althea said trying to change the subject .

"Yeah, right . " Clarke raised her eyebrows .

"Yeah . " Althea said and heard the most annoying high pitched laugh , she looked up and Alexandra Walker was there with her friends and ... Peter , laughing together .

"Son of a bitch ! " Althea nearly shouted startling Clarke and the lovebirds . Peter paled and Alexandra had an annoying scowl on her face .

"Have you guys seen Octavia ? " Althea asked with acid in her tone , she would deal with Peter later .

"No , do you need help look-"

"Let's go Clarke . " Althea cut Peter off and grabbed Clarke's hand .

"Do you want to talk -

"No ." Althea barked and stomped away .

Everybody gathered in the camp, a search party was being formed for Octavia , Bellamy was nearly jumping out of his skin as he laid weapon on the ground . Althea noticed the bow and arrows poor Atom made and grabbed them almost immediately .

Jasper was about to go grab a weapon when Althea walked in front of him .

"Sweetie, you don't have to go . You have not left the camp since we brought you back , it's understandable why you would not come . " Althea said softly as she grabbed Jasper by the shoulders .

"I need to do this , for Octavia . " Jasper said , not meeting her stare as he walked away and Clarke joined her side .

"Is he ready to leave the camp ? "

"No, but he claims he is . " Althea breathed out .

"We need a tracker . " Bellamy walked to the girls and called out for Finn . " Althea what are you doing with the bow ? "

"I'm getting ready for the masquerade ball , what do you think ? I'm coming with you ." Althea said and a Clarke burst into a short chuckle .

"No , you are not . It's too dangerous . " Bellamy said all of the sudden with his eyebrows furrowed .

"Bellamy , I did not ask . Octavia is my friend , I'm coming , plus Jasper needs me . Period . " Althea stated and Bellamy sighed , knowing he was not winning that fight .

"If you even scratch your knee - "

"You'll kiss it to make it better or what ? " Althea replied with a smirk and she could have sworn that even in the dark , she could notice Bellamy's cheeks going a shade of pink .

" Finn, let's go !" Bellamy shouted all of the sudden and started walking to the group .

Althea laughed more at herself since she noticed Clarke had slipped away to talk to Finn, who was rocking a new haircut .

Althea was pushing away the image she had seen of Peter and the bitch that put her in prison . She had to go find Octavia .

"You see that ? "

"Look up there . "

A bunch of small lights flickered on the sky , Althea felt her stomach crunching , she knew what those were and the small amount of food in her stomach was close to leaving her body . Tears pricked at her eyes at the thought of those poor souls .

"They didn't work . They didn't see the

flares . " Raven sighed .

" A meteor shower tell you that ? " Bellamy asked .

""It's not a meter shower . " Althea said , surprised by the shakiness in her voice .

"It's a funeral . " Clarke continued for Althea . "Hundreds of bodies being returned to Earth from the Ark . This is what it looks like on the other

side . "

Bellamy's face cracked with guilt as the camp started gasping , Althea was about to walk to him when she was almost pushed behind by Raven .

"This is all because of you ! "

"I helped you find the radio ! " Bellamy barked at the mechanic .

"Yeah , after you jacked it up from my pod and trashed it ! " Raven shouted as she was held back by Finn and Clarke .

"Yeah, he knows . Now he has to live with it ." Clarke said with venom in her voice as she glared at Bellamy .

"All I know is that my sister is out there and I'm gonna find her . You coming or what ? " Bellamy asked Finn , putting back the mask that Althea saw from their first days on Earth . She knew that all Bellamy cared about in that moment was seeing Octavia safe and that nothing was going to stop him ."

"Yeah ." Finn nearly whispered .

"Then what are we waiting for ? " Bellamy almost shouted and started walking . " Move out ! "

Althea walked with Jasper , leaving the weird love triangle to talk about anything but the fact that they were a love triangle since Raven was clueless about Finn and Clarke .

Althea felt a bit bad for Raven , she came down there for Finn and he was falling for someone else .

" Finn ? We're not gonna find her without

you . " Jasper stopped and called out .

Raven kissed Finn before he joined them and Althea could see the vulnerability on Clarke's face at that and it broke Althea's heart .

After walking for what felt like forever , Althea's back was hurting like a bitch , she was more than uncomfortable with that rag being the only thing close to a tampon and her feet were sore .

She kicked her leg with the other one making her loudly curse after a flashing pain hit her leg , after a few seconds she felt her arm being pulled in front since she was at the end of the group .

Bellamy barely looked at her as he once again held her , this time by the arm .

"What are you doing ? " Althea asked , they hadn't talked since the incident with the Ark .

"Making sure you don't get lost , Ginger , you look exhausted , you should have stayed

behind . " Bellamy scolded her .

"I'm fine , Bellamy , don't worry about me . " Althea breathed out shakily , feeling a sharp pain hit her in her lower stomach .

Bellamy's eyes widened as he saw her face crack in pain .

"Althea what's wrong ? " he asked , nearly demanded with wide eyes .

" Nothing, Bellamy !"

"Althea for God's sake - "

"Hey, guys ! Take a look ! "

The group halted at the same time after a boy, John , called out after them . Bellamy dragged Althea along to where John was pointing next to a sort of ditch .On a tree branch , Althea squinted her eyes in the dark to see a belt .

"Is that Octavia's ? " John asked and Althea could see the anxiety on Bellamy's features .

"Rope . " he ordered and a boy handed it to him , Bellamy threw it across the ditch .

"What are you doing ? " Finn asked, confused .

"I need the rope to get back up . " Bellamy explained before he ordered for a flashlight and threw over the rope . He used the rope almost perfectly to Althea's shock and climbed down .

"It's hers . " Bellamy said with a shaky voice . Worrisome more like ."We're going all the way down ."

Chatter broke in the group and and before Althea grabbed the rope , Jasper was already climbing down . Althea smiled proudly at Jasper for having such a progress after everything he went through .

"Want to go next ? " Finn asked and Althea nodded .

Althea swinged the bow and arrows behind her back , grabbed the rope and tried to copy Bellamy's movements , she held tightly over the rope , feeling the burns it was causing , next to the handcuff sign , she was going to add rope burns on her palms , great . She walked over some rocks , sometimes close to losing her balance and then when the distance the short , she jumped down , but the pain in her back went worse for a few seconds, Althea hissed in pain before crouching down next to Jasper and Bellamy , Finn behind her . A large footprint in the mud made Althea's heart beat faster .

"Someone else was here . " Bellamy realised .

"The prints are deeper going that way . " Finn noted and Althea was impressed by his skills . "He was carrying her . "

"If they took her , she's alive . Like when they took me . " Jasper spoke out with a grin of hope . The four exchanged looks and got up .

"Let's hope we don't find Octavia in the same state we found Jasper . " Althea spoke to Finn ." Or else Bellamy will butcher every grounder he can find . "

After more walking with Finn leading , the group stopped again at the sound of a wild howling and then at the sight which had Althea close to barfing .

Terror was sketched on the ginger's face at the sight of skeletons laid around like decorations .

" I don't speak Grounder but I'm pretty sure this means "keep out " . " Finn tried to joke .

"More like stay the hell away . " Althea murmured , all of their eyes on the skeletons . She broke her gaze to find Bellamy's already on hers . They threw each other looks of concern before they started to hear talk around tue group , they were scared and not ready to go more deep into the forest . Althea understood them , some of them barely spoke to Octavia .

"I'm out of here ."

"Yeah, me too ."

"Go back if you want . " Bellamy spoke out . "My sister , my responsibility. " he then broke into a stomp .

"I'd walk into hell to find her . " Jasper declared before following Bellamy and Finn followed .

"Well, if we're all going ." Althea murmured, running after them , the guilt would eat her up if she did not help to find Octavia .

"Still here, Ginger ? Bellamy asked , trying to sound all cool and confident but Althea could see right through him .

"Yeah, we are finding Octavia . Even tho I could crap my pants any second . " Althea joked and Bellamy actually smirked .

"Don't worry , Ginger , I got you . " Bellamy said , not meeting her gaze and Althea could feel how this time she was blushing .

"I got you too . "

It was light outside , Althea was munching on some rations as Finn was looking for another track .

"I got nothing . " he spoke out hopelessly.

"Wait what ? " Althea nearly spat out her rations .

"We lost the trail ."

"Keep looking . " Bellamy ordered .

The small group walked around the green forest .

"Walking around aimlessly isn't going to find your sister , we should backtrack . " Finn pointed out .

"Bellamy he has a point - "

"I'm not going back ! " Bellamy cut Althea off , determined .

"Where's John ? " one of the other girls asked and Althea looked behind as well, indeed John was nowhere to be seen , Althea felt chills down her back and not good chills .

"I just saw him a second ago . " Jasper breathed out .

"Spread out . Not you , Althea you stick with me . "

Althea had no chance of commenting as Bellamy once again grabbed her arm .

Right where they were about to step , something fell down out of nowhere in front of Bellamy and Althea , Althea yelped in shock and then nearly screamed at the sight , Bellamy pulled her backward roughly when they saw John's body . Althea looked up and furrowed her eyebrows .

"They use the trees . " Finn said to her and Bellamy .

"We shouldn't have crossed the boundary ! "

"Now can we go back ? "

"There , right there . " Jasper pointed out and Althea quickly drew out an arrow , waking up to her senses when multiple grounders were only feet away from them .

"We should run . " Finn whispered and Althea realised he was right , she barely practiced and there were too many .

With arrow in hand , Althea and the others broke into a sprint, Finn leading , Bellamy then her .

Althea cursed at herself knowing she was not the fastest runner and neither was Jasper .

At some point Althea's feet were starting to slow down, the forest was becoming a mix of green and brown , the pain at her back and stomach were not helping either , Bellamy looked behind but before he could do something, all of the sudden Finn was behind her and grabbing her hand to push her in front , she threw him a quick look of gratitude .

" Let's go ! " Finn shouted .

"What are we going to do ? They keep heading us off !"

"Jasper can't go much longer . " Althea breathed out .

"I'm not stopping for him !" Diggs shouted and Althea wanted to punch him in the face .

"I'm sick of running anyways . " Bellamy scowled and stopped as did the others , Althea felt her lungs like a paper bag that was being scrunched .

"What are you doing ? " Finn asked Bellamy .

"They know where she is !" Bellamy barked out and Althea woke up to her sense and drew out the bow again and the arrow she was holding .

"Diggs ! Where are you ?! " Roma shouted and started running into another direction .

"Roma, what are you doing ?!" Althea yelled after the girl and they all ran after her .
