《Skaikru ☣ Bellamy Blake [2]》Memorial

"He did what?" Nia asked in shock about the information she had just been given.
As soon as they entered though the gates Fox had run over and began rambling. From what she had heard from Nathan Miller was that Bellamy had turned in his guard jacket.
She knew that something was off since he had left that morning but she didn't think he would do this. After telling Alec to take their bags and explain to the girls what they would be doing, she set out to find Bellamy.
He had been in his room when she knocked. In his hands was the book that Gina had given him before which was surprising to her seeing how Jade had rarely let it out of sight. She knew about the memorial service being held later and wondering if she would be attending.
She wanted to stay away and let them grieve for their friends. But she always wanted to be there for Bellamy and she needed him to know that.
"You turned in your guard jacket." She stated unsure where she was taking this conversation.
"It needed to be done. You wouldn't understand." Bellamy responded back not wanting to go into further detail.
"But wouldn't I. I am a great warrior, Bellamy, I have held a position of leadership. I have made decisions that have cost others their lives and I've taken lives. I had ghost just as you do. If anyone would understand I'd be me." Nia ranted out. She hated how close off he had been and simply wanted him to talk with her.
But Bellamy stayed silent. He didn't know what to tell her and figured it'd be best to stay quiet. After all how do you tell your girlfriend that you blamed her for the death of others. Sure she hadn't been there when it had happened or had any acknowledgement about it. But she was a Grounder and all they understood was war and strength.
"Talk to me, Bellamy. I'm trying to be here for you and help you through this but how can I when you won't speak to me." Nia tried to reach out on last time. She laid a hand on his arm only for him to rip his away. The gesture alone hurt Nia.
They had had arguments before but not once had he reacted in such away. This attack had been started a change inside Bellamy and she wasn't sure how to handle it. It would change the whole dynamics of their relationship.
So he stayed silent still. Not saying a word. He just wanted to keep her, Jade and Octavia safe no matter the consequences. But how could he do that, if he trusted false information from someone who had always wanted them dead. How could he protect anyone if he had just let his own people die?
Nia took his silence as an answer. He wouldn't talk with her and she could only hope that he would soon. She walked over to the door and opened it but before she left she locked eyes with him. His eyes held many emotions of pain and anger but there was nothing she could do if he wouldn't talk. So she just turned and walked out the door.
She made her way to the outside of the Ark when Alec and the girls joined her. They all wondered what had happened between her and Bellamy but she offered no response.
It wasn't till they were passing through the mess hall when she noticed all the stares. Everyone was glancing at them, some with hatred in their eyes, others with disgust. She went to question Alec when the announcement rang through the air.

"All unstationed security personnel report to the main gate. All unstationed security personnel report to the main gate."
Without wasting a minute the group made their way over to the front. Once they reached the open area, Nia had a spot where she could see toward the main gate and the sight she was surprised her.
The guards were circled around a group of Grounders and were looking rather menacing at them. She shared a look with Alec who saw what she did and they looked at the girls. She quickly told them to head back to the room and sort out what kind of supplies they had. Neither girl questioned it and turned around. With them gone the two jogged over toward the group just in time to hear the reply a guard gave Octavia.
"You're one of them, you take them in." He sneered at her before passing them a glare and walking away.
Alec send her a knowing look before he went to help another from the back. Nia knew what that look meant. It meant she was right, things were definitely changing for them in Arkadia and she hoped it wouldn't turn out bad. She went to grab the girl that stumbled a little when Octavia appeared on her other side. The two began to help her walk toward medical with the others following behind.
"I heard about Mount Weather. I'm very sorry." Nyko expressed his condolences but Nia thought that his sincerities wouldn't be much help.
When they entered Medical, Abby and Jackson went to work checking all the ones they had brought in. With everyone looked after Nia made her way to Nyko with Alec not far off.
"What happened Nyko?" She asked about the symptoms she had seen.
"A village got sick but weren't recovering like they should. It was beyond my abilities and I thought it best to let them see Abby." He explained to them.
"I think it's best if you leave now my friend. Skaikru is still hurt by the attack." She told Nyko, who sent her a confused look but didn't question her before she looked to Alec. "Take him to the gate, make sure he gets out. I need to find Lincoln."
They left the tent and the two males went back to the gate while Nia went to Lincoln's room. Except he wasn't there, no was he anywhere else around. After a moment of wondering where he might be, she realized she knew where'd he go. Unfortunately for her it was a place she was currently trying to avoid.
Her brother, being the more peaceful of the two, would of course be at the Mount Weather memorial that was being held. She herself had avoid going back she didn't want to attract more stares. She even told the others to not draw attention. But on another note having them make an appearance might let them know that they were sorry about what happened and they weren't apart of the event. So against her better judgement she went inside.
If she had known that Lincoln hadn't been there yet, she would've waited until he appeared. But since she was already inside she took a stand in the back beside the Rover and out of everyone's view.
"All that is certain is that we die. How we die is up to us. Who will speak for Iris Jones?" Pike began to service from where he stood in the front.
A boy stood and made his way over. In his hand was a trinket that reminded him of the deceased.

"Iris was strong. Good with a knife. She saved my life. I'm just sorry that I couldn't do the same for her." He announced before placing the trinket down and heading back to his seat.
"We will miss Iris. May we meet again." Pike said again causing the others to repeat the phrase.
"Who will speak for Gina Martin?" He asked the crowd.
At that moment, Nia was able to locate Bellamy. He was seating toward the back of the left section with the book in his hands. After a minute he stood up and made his way to the front. When he looked up he glance straight into her eyes. He had been surprised to see her there but when he looked away he remembered what was happening.
"Gina was real. She always saw the light, even here. She deserved better. May we meet again." He spoke softly about the girl but when he finished a group had entered.
Most people's attention was drawn to them. When Nia looked at them she was relieved to see Lincoln enter. They made eye contact and Lincoln began to make his way toward her. When he stood beside her, she decided to question him.
"What's going on Lincoln?" She asked wondering about what the group was whispering about up front.
"Indra's here with the peacekeeping force. 300 warriors." Lincoln informed her while glancing at those who were looking at them.
"Okay, Nyko brought in some from a village. Said their sickness wasn't getting better." Nia told him after seeing how she had been looking for him.
Before either one could say anymore, Pike's voice could be heard from the front.
"You gave a Grounder one of our radios?" He said appalled by the situation.
Nia, of course, knew about the radio that Indra had, she had given it to her herself. It had taken her some convincing for the Trikru leader to even use it but now it was their source of communicating.
"Sir, are we under attack?" Hannah, Monty's mom questioned aloud.
"No, we are not under attack. The commander sent a peacekeeping force. To ensure that we can defend against any further attacks from the Ice Nation." Kane announced to everyone but most didn't like the idea.
"Peacekeeping force? Even you can't be that naïve, Marcus." Pike retorted back.
"Watch your tone, you're talking to the next chancellor." Abby silence. "We're all grieving. This has been hard of all of us. But we can't let anger drive our policy."
"Anger is our policy." Pike roared though the crowd.
As each second went by the atmosphere in the room began to shift. More eyes were drawn to the Trikru siblings as they stood in the back silently. Lincoln standing close to Nia in case anything would happen.
"Now if they're here to defend us, as you say, then tell them to go home. We can defend ourselves!" Pike shouted causing the group to shout their agreements.
"Maybe it's best if we leave." Nia spoke to her brother as the air got tense around them.
"Perhaps your right, Nia. Let's go." Lincoln agreed putting a hand on her back to escort her out.
But their movements were caught and all attention turned to them. Lincoln tensed and shifted closer, ready to protect Nia in a second.
"You. You don't belong here. Both of you. All of you." Someone shouted to them speaking not only about them but of Jade and Alec as well.
"You are them." Another added in.
"My boy is dead!" A man from the front shout a brick in his hand as he raised to throw.
Lincoln saw the brick and moved fast pushing Nia back into the Rover taking her place. Nia hit her back and side against the Rover and stumbled against it. She looked up just in time to see her brother get hit in the face. She let out a gasp at the sight. She went to move forward but a wave of dizziness and nausea overcame her.
In an instant, the room went crazy. Everyone trying their best to get to the siblings.
The guards were quick to cut them off and hold them back. As soon as Bellamy saw Lincoln push Nia out of harms way he ran forward making sure no one would get to her or him.
A man was able to sneak up on the dazed healer and send a blow to her face. Nia stumbled again and grabbed the Rover for support. Bellamy who had seen the whole encounter blocked the guy's path and sent a knockout punch to his face.
Before it could escalate further Pike whistled from the front of them room. All movements halted as they turned to him.
"We do not attack our own! Fighting each other only makes us weak. The enemy is not in this camp. The enemy is out there." He stated to the room and the crowd went silent.
By then Abby was able to make her way toward the back and went to aid Lincoln. "Lincoln, are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Lincoln shrugged off. He went to leave but saw Nia still resting against the Rover and went to her side. "Nia, are you okay?"
Bellamy stood there for a minute to ensure no one would make another advance toward Nia but was brought back when he heard Lincoln. He turned and went to her side and helped steadied her. Both looked her over and tried to spot any damages to her but couldn't see any.
Nia herself was quite shocked. Lincoln hadn't shoved her so hard and the man's punch was hardly the worst. But here she stood feeling rather nauseous as she tried to calm herself.
Abby pushed through the two and began to look her over as well but when she pressed against her side Nia moved away. The doctor found the movement odd and looked at her questionably.
"You both need to get to medical now." Abby instructed needing a better area to check out their injuries.
"I just need some air." Nia was able to slip out before she began walking outside. Lincoln close behind her and Bellamy stood there not knowing what to do.
Once outside, they went to the side, Nia took a big breath of air. This was a bad idea on her part as the nausea got worse until the point of her walking off and letting everything out.
Not far behind Lincoln stumbled against the side and slid to his knees. He hit the side and mumbled their saying as was able to get to his feet.
"We should get you to medical, Nia." Lincoln tried to convince, still hunched over she shook her head and spit before standing. "You could've got hit hard than you though." He tried once more.
Nia sighed knowing he wouldn't give up till she gave in. "Only if you get yours checked out first." She compromised seeing how his injury was more crucial.
Lincoln nodded knowing it was the best option for them.
