"George, are you sure about this?"
George gnawed on his lower lip thoughtfully. "Yeah, I'm sure."
"We can still keep it a secret. We don't have to tell everyone. I don't mind that much either way." Dream replied, searching George's eyes for any sign that he would be uncomfortable.
"I'm sure. I don't want to have to watch my behavior in public. I want to kiss you and be absolutely comfortable with it." George answered, voice confident, his expression betraying no sense of doubt.
"Okay. Then, uh, we've got to bundle my face reveal with it, I guess." Dream laughed.
"We don't have to do that." George rushed, putting his hands on Dream's shoulders. "We can just say it on stream or make a video, or even just make a tweet if you're nervous about it. I don't want to make you uncomfortable."
"No. It's okay." Dream smiled. "I'll show my face for our relationship reveal. That would make the fans go crazy. Especially the shippers." They both laughed.
The pair fell back into comfortable silence, Dream leaning back and resting his arm on George's shoulders, allowing the dark haired boy to rest his head on Dream's chest. After a few minutes of silence, George staring up at the ceiling and Dream watching George affectionately, George piped up.
"So, how do you want to do it? Stream? Video? Tweet?" George asked, now fiddling with Dream's boodie laces.
"I was thinking a good ol' stream. We can hype it up on Twitter, then begin the stream. Then, once everyone comes into the stream, we can turn the facecam on and then do the big reveal. And then you give me a kiss or something." Dream mused.
George laughed. "Always looking for ways for me to kiss you."
"I can't even deny it." Dream chuckled.
"Alright then. Today? Tomorrow? What are you thinking?" George continued.
"I'll send out a tweet to start hyping everyone up, and then we can maybe stream tomorrow afternoon?"
"Sounds good." George replied, sitting up. This time, Dream let him. The blonde haired boy stood up and reached for his phone, unlocking it and typing for a moment. After a few moments, Dream tilted his phone screen to the side to show George, who read the tweet silently.
"Face reveal stream with a bonus 'reveal'! Tomorrow at 3PM EST. Be there :)" The tweet read. Dream smiled, satisfied, and pressed tweet. Soon, the notifications started rolling in, all the fans clearly freaking out. Dream and George read some of the replies aloud and laughed at the excitement.

"This is going to be good." George laughed after reading a particular tweet that when read aloud, sounded like they were having a stroke. He turned his phone off and planted a chaste kiss on Dream's forehead. "I'm going to go to bed now." He announced.
"I'm going to stay up and maybe edit yesterday's recording. I don't feel like sleeping right now."
"Okay." George replied. "Don't leave me hanging too long."
"Don't worry." Dream chuckled, giving George a gentle kiss on the nose. "I'll be there before you know it."
True to his word, Dream joined George in bed only half an hour later, by which time George was already half asleep. When the blonde haired boy slid underneath the covers, George instinctively wrapped his arms around Dream's waist and fell asleep. Dream smiled in affection, and closed his eyes, falling asleep almost as quickly, soothed by the sound of George's slowed breathing.
The next morning, Dream woke up to cold air where George had been. He rolled over, confused, and sat up, yawning. He stood, pulling on a comfortable outfit and walked out the bedroom, spotting George, who was lounging on the couch on his phone.
"Morning." Dream yawned, pressing a lazy kiss onto George's cheek.
"Ew, morning breath." George swatted Dream away, who laughed and got in another kiss on George's forehead before being shoved into the bathroom. He brushed his teeth and washed his face, and by the time he walked out of the bathroom, George had moved to the kitchen, where he was absentmindedly eating a bowl of cereal while he was still on his phone.
"I brushed my teeth, can I kiss you now?"
George shook his head, and Dream pouted.
"Please?"
George shook his head again.
"Fine. I guess I'm just gonna have to wait until the stream." Dream sighed. "What time is it, by the way?"
George swallowed his cereal before responding. "It's 10:00. I didn't want to wake you, but it's a little late."
Dream chuckled. "Yeah, a little late. What can I say, the bed was too comfortable and I was too committed to my dream of making out with you for hours on end."
George blushed and swatted Dream away. Dream ducked and went into the living room, turning on the TV.
"Make me a bowl of cereal, will you?" Dream called.
"No, make one yourself." George called back, sauntering into the living room and plopping down next to Dream with a smirk on his face and continuing to eat his cereal.

Dream, faking annoyance, plucked the spoon out of George's hand and dipped it into George's bowl, making sure to meet George's gaze as he slowly sucked the contents out. George raised an eyebrow.
"Okay, Mr. I'm-so-sexy. What would you like to watch?" George retorted.
"You." Dream responded simply.
"You've got to stop flirting and start acting like a normal person sometime. Right?" George rubbed his temples as Dream stole the whole bowl and began eating it.
"No." Dream responded just as simply.
"Fine, I'm picking the show." George scrolled through the Netflix channels and Dream sat by without protest, watching patiently as George picked out the worst kids show and insisted on putting it on for the whole hour. Halfway through, George just walked out of the living room, and Dream burst out into laughter.
"Your prank didn't work out so well, did it, Georgie?" Dream teased from his seat on the couch.
"Shut up!" George called back. "I'm gonna stream, since you're so exasperating. I'll end stream and raid you when you go live."
Dream chuckled, and went back to watching the kids show. If he was being completely honest, it really wasn't half bad.

Dream sat in his chair, waiting for George.
"Hurry up! What are you doing, putting on makeup? Your lipstick will get all over our faces anyways." Dream called out. It was almost 3pm, and Dream really didn't want to miss the deadline.
George hurried in, with a water bottle clutched in one hand. Dream watched his harried state with an amused glint in his eye.
"Chop chop, George." Dream tapped his foot to feign impatience, although, who was he kidding, Dream was enjoying watching George so flustered, even if it wasn't because of him.
George finally got himself in order, sitting down just out of frame.
"Ready?" Dream asked.
"You don't have to do the face reveal if you really don't want to." George said hurriedly.
"No, I'm going to do it for us." Dream smiled at George, who gave Dream an affectionate smile back. "Ready?"
George took a deep breath. "Yes."
Dream hit the 'go live' button, and he waited patiently, with Minecraft Skywars pulled up, as the viewers began trickling, then pouring in like an enormous waterfall. Finally, Dream judged that most of the viewers who were going to be here were here, so he began switching the topic to the face reveal.
"So, I'm guessing most of you are here for my live face reveal." Dream began. He felt his heart start to beat faster and his hand became sweatier and shakier, missing his next hit on the player and falling off the Skywars map. "Darn it." He muttered.
"Let's do a countdown, shall we?" Dream chuckled awkwardly, trying to mask his nervousness.
George began counting, loud enough for the mic to pick up. "10, 9, 8, 7, 6,"
Dream's palms were sweating, and his heart was beating loudly in his throat.
"5, 4, 3,"
Dream's stomach was twisted into knots, and he wiped his hands on his pants in an effort to stop the sweating.
"2, 1, go!" George announced, watching Dream's nervous state with a worried look.
Dream switched the display to his webcam, smiling into the camera as hundreds of thousands of fans freaked out at the reveal of his face. The chat flew by faster than ever, not stopping to allow Dream to read a single message.
"Hi." Dream said quietly, then inwardly laughed at his lack of enthusiasm.
"Yeah, this is what I look like." Dream chuckled, waving his hands around, then using them to frame his face. "And for the bonus 'reveal', I've got George here. Let's see if some of you can guess it."
The chat barely slowed down, but Dream read through the messages, and saw that most of the shippers were here. Yeah, most of the chat was right, but Dream wasn't about to tell them that.
George walked into frame, nonchalantly plopping into Dream's lap and giving Dream a peck on the cheek. Dream's face stretched into a wide grin, which George mirrored.
The chat went more nuts, flying by even faster than with his face reveal. They both read some of the messages and laughed aloud, watching as the chat collectively third-wheeled and fangirled.
"This is great." Dream whispered in George's ear, placing a kiss onto George's earlobe and making his way down George's neck. "Y'know, being able to make out with you in front of hundreds of thousands of people."
George smiled even wider, and swatted Dream away. "In bed, after the stream." George smirked at Dream's reaction as he whispered it in Dream's ear.
"Alright guys, thanks for coming to the stream! I'll see you guys next time!" Dream hurriedly said. George laughed.
As soon as the stream ended, Dream pounced on George.
"What was that about after the stream again?"

Shadows in the Dawn Mist
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!

Then look no further than the daily life of a cultivation judge. Yang Qing, is a young genius cultivator from a low-tier family whose only safe choice to get resources and hopefully lead an easy life led him to the courts of the Cultivation Order Society. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
