{based on the song Fix You by Coldplay}
When you try your best but you don't succeed
When you get what you want but not what you need
When you feel so tired but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
I felt my hand quiver and tightly curl around the soft blue feather, that held so much meaning. The one I love...laughing, blushing, and flirting with the shy and adorable girl from the tailor shop. I felt my heavy eyes close, tears running down my cheeks. I drop the feather and run back to my house, hearing my name being called by the same girl I call a friend.
When the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Candace sighed and glanced at the blue feather on the ground. She knew what (Y/N) saw, but it wasn't what she thought. Julius was practicing what he was going to say to ask (Y/N) out. She just happened to walk over at the worst time. Before Julius could see, Candace put the blue feather in her pocket, swearing to return it to (Y/N) as soon as possible.
"Well...this is quite the problem," Julius sighed, running a hand through his long, purple hair. Candace turned towards him, "she...dropped something, I'll go return it to her and try to explain to her..." she sighed, turning to leave. "Wait," Julius stopped her, "let me go," Candace stared for a moment before handing him (Y/N)'s dropped blue feather, "go get her," she lightly smiled, Julius nodded and ran off to (Y/N)'s house.
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
I will try to fix you
I stared over at the lapping waves next to the light house in the dark of night. A storm started up later this evening, how fitting. The salty ocean waves splashed against the cliff side, lightly sprinkling my tear stained face. The stormy nights seem to be more peaceful than the clear ones. I hear footsteps behind me, but I know who it is. I don't turn around and don't move. Why is he here?

When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Julius tried to catch his breath, the blue feather held tightly in his hand. The heavy rain flattening his long purple hair. "(Y/N), listen to me," Julius stood up straight and walked to the (H/C) haired girl. She didn't respond. "(Y/N), please..."
"What do you want?" (Y/N) hissed. Julius flinched at the harsh tone before taking a deep breath, "(Y/N) look, what you saw wasn't what it looked like," (Y/N) turned to face him, "then what was it?" Julius held the blue feather behind his back.
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
"I was practicing what I wanted to say...to you, Candace was only helping me since she knows you so well," Julius' red eyes looked into (Y/N)'s (E/C) ones. "I...love you," he moved the blue feather out from behind his back and watched as (Y/N) froze in shock. "Not as romantic as I wanted to do this but I suppose it'll work," Julius smiled. (Y/N) engulfed him in a big hug, laughing, "I'm so sorry I was quick to assume! I love you, too...but..." she took a step back, "can we get out of this rain? I'm drenched," Julius laughed, nodding and putting his jacket over the both of them, "maybe if we hurry, we can dodge the rain drops," he said. "Worth a shot," (Y/N) laughed as they ran back to (Ranch name) Ranch.

Battles outside the Kingdom's borders were still fought, only treated with little significance. They were labeled as renegades aiding the demon fight and Dillo was ordered to extract their memories before executing them under strict confidentiality.Truthfully, Dillo had followed worse orders in the past. But this time he was just... too curious.

Serenity of the Crow
Fena can’t die. To most, this might be considered a blessing. To others, a curse. Fena doesn’t really care what other people call it: for her, it’s reality. She’s content to keep her head down while working for the Mercenary Guild, but a new contract arrives that threatens to drag her back to a past she wants nothing to do with. Haunted by her own thoughts and a crow that never seems to shut up, Fena is caught between confronting her past and preventing it from ever happening again. Indigo is alone. Her adopted mother is gone, and the witch that never gets her pronouns right is currently the most popular researcher at the Royal Academy. Worse still, she suddenly finds herself with shoes to fill that are so enormous they’re more like a swimming pool, while that same witch flaunts a research project that could get them all killed. With the expectations of her entire sect weighing on her like a lead weight, will Indigo sink or swim? Can she stop the White Witch’s project before it’s too late? Or will the twisted politics of the Royal Academy prove too much? This is my first published story, so hopefully it goes well! I welcome constructive criticism, and I'd love to hear your thoughts and theories about where the story is headed! WARNINGS:This story contains references to depression, anxiety, panic attacks, self-harm, sexual abuse and manipulation. Winter Fire [ Book 1 ] ✔
On the second jump, Claire's bad leg gave way and she felt herself tumbling forward. A cry of surprise escaped her and Claire was certain she was about to topple off the side of the train. Alek, however, moved quickly, catching her mid-fall and keeping her upright, and alive. Claire lifted her eyes to meet his which were wide with alarm. The expression was fleeting, lasting for only a moment before it was replaced by a frown. "You could have fallen," he said pointedly."I know," Claire breathed, finding her thoughts drifting to the strong arm wrapped around her waist. A flush rose to her cheeks and she was grateful for the biting wind that masked her reaction. "Thank you.""You need to be more careful," he continued, his eyes locked on hers, bright and haunting in the silver glow of the moon overhead."I will," Claire assured him, her heart skipping in her chest. "I promise."------1st Place in the Chaos Awards2nd Place in the Mystic Awards2nd Place in the Stella Luna Awards2nd Place in the Talent Awards 2018Highest Ranking #1 In SteampunkFound on the official Wattpad Fantasy account featured reading list "Wintery Worlds"
