⠀⠀⠀⠀ Talos continued to explain as soon as everyone was back inside of the house. Carol sat across from the Skrull man, as Poppy stood behind the woman, glancing around the dining room until her eyes landed on Goose. She still couldn't understand how such a powerful creature was hidden inside of a cat, but, then again, she didn't know much about the universe. "We discovered that your energy signature matched Mar-Vell's core. Now we know why. If only you knew the importance of it to me. I just need your help decoding the coordinates to Mar-Vell's lab."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Those weren't coordinates. They're state vectors," Carol attempted to explain to him, which made the alien man push himself to his feet and bring Nick Fury back into the conversation.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "For orbital position and velocity," Nick Fury chimed in, and Poppy nodded her head in agreement. She didn't want to get involved with the whole conversation that was going down, but she knew that she was going to have to help them in some way or another. Otherwise, she was just going to be useless.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "You didn't find her lab on Earth, 'cause it's not on Earth," Maria added on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "That was the location on the date of the crash six years ago," Poppy piped up, which brought everyone to look at her for a few seconds before she shrugged her shoulders.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "If we track its course, we'll find it in orbit right now," Carol added on to Poppy's statement, which made the two of them stare at each other for a few seconds, before back to Talos.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "It's just basic physics," Maria commented, before taking a sip out of her iced tea.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ Everyone stared at Talos for a few seconds, before the green-skinned man let out a heavy sigh as he glanced over to the other Skrull in the room, "In orbit?" The other Skrull shrugged his shoulders. "Was that so difficult to figure out? I mean, you're my science guy, right?"

⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Yon-Rogg will catch up to me soon," Carol commented, pulling the attention of the conversation back to her and the Skrulls both looked to her. "We've got to get to the core before he does."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Mmm," Nick hummed as he chewed on his sandwich, "We're going to space?"
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "In what?" Carol questioned him as he took another bite out of the food that Maria had given him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "A few tweaks to your vessel should do it," The Skrull, Norex, suggested as he brought himself back into the conversation. Poppy began to believe that he was attempting to redeem himself for the mishap that he had done with the coordinates, and it was quite funny to her. "I can handle the modifications."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ And his final comment only made Nick Fury snicker, "Mmm. Your science guy."
After the main conversation was finished, Poppy found herself outside and helping make sure that the Skrulls didn't mess up the ship outside. She knew that it was going to be far more advanced than what she was used to, but there were things that she had to do in order to keep herself occupied. She didn't want to think about any of the things that were going on in the house with Carol and Maria, but she knew that it wasn't going to take too long before the woman had decided that she was going to come out and talk to the dark-haired woman.
Poppy glanced over her shoulder as she watched as Carol began to make her way over to her and she pressed her lips together for a few seconds. It wasn't long before she heard the sound of other voices and she looked down the road to see that it was Maria's parents, which meant that Maria had to make sure that her daughter was safe when she would go with Carol on the mission. Which didn't make sense, because Poppy would've been more than fine to watch the young girl on her own.

⠀⠀⠀⠀ "Maria did know that I would've been able to stay behind and watch out for Monica, right?" Poppy questioned the blonde-haired woman as she made her way over to her. The two of them stared at each other for a few seconds, and Carol shook her head.
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I need two of the best pilots I know to be there with me in case anything goes haywire," Carol explained to her and Poppy nodded her head as she stared at her. She noticed that the colorings of Carol's suit had changed, and she had to admit that she preferred the red white, and blue, but for obvious reasons. Carol glanced down at her suit for a few seconds, before giving Poppy a smile. "Monica helped me out."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "That girl sure does have a kicking style," Poppy replied to her with a small smile, before she folded her arms over her chest. "But, honestly, you don't need two pilots out there. Maria would be well enough alone with you. She's one of the best pilots that I know -- well, other than you."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ Carol stared at her for a few seconds, before she let out a heavy sigh, "Maria told me that there had been something between the two of us before I had disappeared. I just wanted to apologize for the fact that I don't remember much of what I had down here before the Kree took me away."
⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I can't blame you for something like that," Poppy pointed out to her and she shrugged her shoulders. "It wouldn't have been fair to either of us." The two of them stared at each other for a few seconds, before Poppy knew that she wasn't going to be able to get out of the mission, knowing that Carol was going to pull her leg until she had said yes. She tilted her head to the side for a few seconds, as she nodded her head. "But, I'll join you. What's the worst that can happen?"

Naga rising (Final version)
Eshanai used to think that her life was pretty good, that the elders of her tribe of Naga sisters had their best interests at heart. But one suspiciously regular disaster after another sort of makes you question things. So when Eshanai decides to go out on the island to do the unthinkable, break some rules, and nothing terrible happens to her like the elders said it would, her questions start to multiply. What else could the elders be wrong about? Were the Naga really chosen by the spirits? And could there be other people out there, beyond their island? Follow Eshanai and some of her sisters as she tries to find a way to leave the island and comes up with increasingly creative ways to get into a certain Oni's pants. Author's note: This is not a rewrite of my original Naga rising story. It's more of a reimagining, as it contains many of the same characters and settings but will have a completely different plot. Be advised that the two are not related to one another. This should not be seen as any form of sequel or prequel story. So I have caught up to my backlog, and at first, I thought I could release a chapter once a week. That turned out to be unrealistic as I am writing in my spare time, so periods of inaction might not be uncommon. Some of the tags might not come into effect until later on in the story.
