The woman knew that she was going to have to explain a lot more than she wanted to when Carol would discover the truth about everything that had happened and her mind was going to be given the truth that it craved. Poppy didn't know what it was that she was going to be able to do by the time that they had gotten down to the hall of records, but she wanted to be able to help them. She wanted to be able to help Carol and Nick with whatever it was that they needed help with.

The woman glanced over all of the records that were littered on the shelves, and as she went down all of the lines of shelves, she glanced down a specific hall. Her eyes narrowed in on Carol as she began to pull files off of the shelves and Poppy knew that her time was dwindling. She could either own up to everything that was going on around her, but she didn't know what she was going to do. She didn't know what she was going to say as she stared at the blonde-haired woman that she cared so much about. She wanted to tell her everything that was going on around her, but she couldn't do anything. She couldn't do anything to make everything feel better about the situation that she was in.

She tilted her head to the side as she noticed the image that she was staring at and that was when Poppy began to make her way over toward her. She stared down at the image that Carol was holding and it was an image of the two of them outside of their aircraft -- the ones taht they had flown for Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. Poppy inhaled deeply as she stared down at the image, before she glanced up at Carol, finding that she was staring at her.

⠀⠀⠀⠀ "We knew each other," Carol commented as she stared at her and Poppy nodded her head as she stared at her. Poppy folded her arms over her chest as she stared at the woman in front of her and she shook her head for a few seconds, before nodding at the photo.

⠀⠀⠀⠀ "You and I . . . we had a very complicated relationship, and there were things that we told each other that no one else knew about," Poppy explained to her and she inhaled deeply, not knowing if she was going to be able to continue. The blonde looked over to the dark-haired woman in front of her and they stared at each other for a few seconds, before she bit down on her lower lip. "I cared deeply about you and when you returned to the world, I thought that you were going to remember me."

⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I'm sorry that I don't remember you," Carol replied to her as she turned her attention back down to the photo of the two of them. Neither of them knew what to say to each other as they stared down at the image and Poppy had so many things that crossed her mind. She wanted to tell Carol how much she missed her and how much she cared, but the words weren't easy to put together. "I want to be able to remember everything that the two of us had done together. I want to be able to remember the life that I had here."

⠀⠀⠀⠀ "And I can help," Poppy assured her, but then the pager on her hip began to go off and she turned her attention to it. She grabbed the device off of her hip and she found that Fayre had paged her. She narrowed her eyes at it for a few seconds, before she excused herself from what it was that she and Carol were talking about.

Poppy began to read the warning that Fayre had sent her, and it turned out that S.H.I.E.L.D was sending agents after them to figure out what it was that was going on. She didn't know what she was going to do in order to stop them from doing something that they were going to regret, but she didn't know where to start. There were so many things that she could've done in order to prevent it all and she had to figure it all sooner, rather than later.

There were things that she could do, but as she stood in the darkness of the room, she could feel a ghost pulling at her and she could tell that there was a spirit with her. She turned her attention over to the ghost to see a woman that had smoke fanning off of her. The woman had been burned ina fire and she wished that she would've been able to find a way to help her. But she knew that the ghost wasn't going to do anything but beg her to help her, to help her find her way out of the darkest pits of hell that she found herself in.

But that was when everything began to go down south, and the three of them only had one option and that was the get the hell out of there. Poppy didn't like the idea of running away from the job that she had, but she wouldn't have been able to get a head start if Fayre hadn't paged her. But even as she had a few seconds of a head start, it wasn't going to be enough for them to leave without being seen.

It was going to be a race against guns, and they knew that they were going to have to be quick. And Poppy would find that Carol was going to surprise her with a few tricks up her sleeve, and she knew that she was only going to continue to surprise her with everything that she did. Though it wasn't just the three of them on board a ship, a creature that Poppy and Nick Fury only saw as a cat.

But it was much more than that, so much more.
