《SEA GREEN MEETS GOLD (N.M. & P.J.)》Chapter 14: Retail shopping

Percy laughed at her reflection in the mirror. She and Rebekah were shopping for clothes. The demigod wasn't usually a fan of shopping but the original asked her to try on clothes too. So, the demigod obliged.
Instead of taking it seriously, Percy picked out pieces of clothing of all colors of the rainbow. And she managed to wear all of them at once.
She looked like a rainbow barfed on her. The demigod, of course, loved it.
Strutting out of the dressing room, Percy did her best impression of models walking down the catwalk. She flipped her hair and laughed again. "I'm fabulous."
Nik chuckled. "Yes, you are, love."
She grinned at him. Rebekah shook her head with an amused smile. "You even make that look good."
"Thanks, Bex."
Even Stefan had a small smile at the demigod's dramatics.
Rebekah walked over and handed her a dress. "Now, will you try this on? I think it'll look amazing on you."
Percy grumbled a bit. "Fine."
The sea green eyed girl went back to the dressing room. She removed the previous outfit and put on the dress. It was a light blue dress, so Percy didn't hate it. The color complimented her skin tone and made her eyes pop.
The demigod made funny faces in the mirror and made a peace sign with her hand.
She heard Rebekah start talking. "There has to be more to this dress."
"There's not," the hybrid replied.
Rebekah moved back the curtain and stepped out.
"So, women in the twenty first century dress like prostitutes, then."
"Sometimes. But, don't judge, Bex. People can wear what they want, that's what is so cool about it." Percy said.
"I guess. You know, I got dirty looks for wearing trousers."
Klaus replied, "You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing."
Percy left the dressing room.
The blonde looked in her direction. "Percy, you look beautiful!"
"Aw thank you. You look drop dead gorgeous, Bex."
The original smiled. She turned her attention back to the two boys. The Salvatore looked mildly impressed and Klaus couldn't take his eyes off the raven haired beauty.
"You look stunning, love." The hybrid said gently, his eyes not leaving her own.
"Thank you." Their eyes didn't break apart until Stefan commented. "You do look pretty."
Percy laughed. She knew it must have been hard for the Salvatore to admit that. "Thank you, Stefan."
The vampire noticed she didn't address him with one of her terrible nicknames. He was thankful for it and continued drinking his champagne.
"And what is this music? It sounds like a cable car accident." The original commented.
Percy laughed. "That's just rude."
Rebekah shrugged, "It's true."
"It's dance music." The Salvatore explained.
"You would dance to this?" She asked, sounding baffled.
Percy smiled and gently took the original's hand. "Yup. Like this." She began doing weird movements with Rebekah, causing the blonde to laugh. The demigod spun Rebekah around in a clumsy way. The two fell into each other and began laughing harder.

The hybrid felt un-included and bored. "Are we done?"
Wrapping her arm around the sea green eyed girl, Rebekah questioned, "And why are you so grumpy?"
The demigod added, "Yeah, Nikkie. Why are you so grumpy?"
"I needed one thing from you for my witch to find out why my hybrids are dying, one thing. Your necklace. And you lost it."
Rebekah defended herself, "I didn't lose it. It's just been missing for 90 years."
"Yeah!" Percy agreed and high fived the original.
She had made it her goal to high five all of the originals. Because, why not?
The blonde continued, "So what do you think?" She gestured to the dress.
"I like it." Stefan replied. The demigod noticed it didn't sound genuine.
Rebekah narrowed her eyes slightly.
The Salvatore responded, "What? I said I liked it."
"I can always tell when your lying, Stefan." She turned on her heel and returned to the changing room.
"Queen!" Percy called out. She thought Rebekah was awesome.
The demigod walked back to her dressing room too.
She heard Klaus speak to the vampire next to him. "Nice one, good work."
"You're the one that pulled the dagger out of her." Stefan replied.
Rebekah called out, "I heard that!"
"Hey! Don't be mean to Bex. She's way too amazing to be receiving those comments." The demigod defended the original.
"At least someone appreciates me." Rebekah said as she changed back into another outfit.
Percy left the changing room in her own clothes. She sat in the now empty chair next to Klaus. "Where's Stefano?"
"He left." The hybrid responded simply.
Rebekah walked out of her dressing room. She seemed disappointed by the news of the Salvatore leaving.
The two originals and the demigod left the store. The blonde original was holding a few bags with some new clothes.
"So, did you two ever get to see Louis Armstrong perform in the twenties?" The demigod asked curiously.
Rebekah smiled a bit, "Yeah, we did."
"That's so cool! My mom listens to his music sometimes."
The original was glad that some things were still similar in the modern day world.
"You don't talk about your family much, love." The hybrid noticed.
Percy shrugged. She didn't want her family knowing she was involved with a lot of supernatural drama when she moved to Mystic Falls. Although, they might have gathered that on their own with the demigod's history. It seemed Percy couldn't stay away from drama. Trouble found her wherever she went.
"They're amazing." The raven haired beauty said with a small smile as she reminisced about her family. She hadn't seen them in a while. Estelle was only two years old, but her personality already resembled the demigod. Her favorite colors were sky blue and lilac. She repeated phrases that Percy would say. Estelle loved cookies and she laughed at the weirdest things. The demigod adored her little sister.

She decided to mention Estelle to the siblings. "I have a little sister. She's the most adorable baby in the world." Percy stopped walking for a moment as she pulled out her phone. The originals halted their steps also.
The demigod pulled up a photo of Estelle giggling. Her little baby hands were resting on a little table in front of her, covered in cheerios. Her eyes shown bright as she looked at the camera.
Percy showed the photo to the two beside her. Rebekah squealed. "She's so cute!"
The sea green eyed girl grinned. The blonde gently took her phone to get a better look. "Aww. I want to hold her. She looks like an angel."
Percy laughed. "No, she can be a devious little human, but I love her for it."
Rebekah smiled and handed the phone to Nik. The hybrid took it and his face lit up. A cute smile spread on his face as he looked at the picture. "She's adorable, love."
"I know right?" He gave the phone back to the demigod. "What's her name?"
Percy smiled, "Estelle."
"That's such a pretty name." Rebekah commented.
The raven haired beauty nodded.
"Star." He translated.
"Yup."
They began walking again. Percy spotted a pizza place. Tugging on Nik's sleeve, Percy asked, "Can we get food?" She patted her tummy for emphasis. "I'm hungry."
The hybrid nodded. "Sure, love."
He grabbed her hand and Percy chose not to question it. They walked to the restaurant and sat down at a table.
Percy looked at the menu and laughed. "I honestly can't read a single thing on this menu."
Klaus looked confused. "You never explained why that is?"
"I'm incredibly dyslexic. I also have ADHD, but that's a whole other thing." The sea green eyed girl explained.
"I can read greek, latin, and some ancient viking script perfectly fine though."
Nik looked more confused. "And why is that?"
"It's part of the whole demigod thing. Ancient languages come easy to us."
It was Rebekah's turn to be confused. "You're a demigod?"
"Yup." Percy responded. "Daughter of the sea god."
"So you can control water?"
The raven haired beauty nodded. "There are some other cool things I can do. At the moment, I'm trying to figure out how to use vapor travel, which is basically teleportation. I haven't quite mastered it yet, though."
"That's so cool!" Rebekah commented excitedly.
Percy smiled. A waiter appeared next to the table. "Hey, welcome to Mario's. Can I take your order?"
"Yeah. Can we get a large pepperoni pizza, please?" The sea green eyed girl asked.
Rebekah scanned the menu. "And can we try those cheese fries?" She hadn't heard of them before but felt intrigued by them.
The waiter nodded and wrote down the order. "What would you like to drink?"
"I'm fine with water. Thank you!" Percy sent the guy a smile.
He looked at the other two people at the table.
They both just ordered waters too. The waiter walked back to the kitchen.
Rebekah started talking, "So what are fries?"
The demigod gasped. "What!" To say the sea green eyed girl was shocked was an understatement. "You've never had fries?"
The blonde shook her head. "You poor soul." Percy sent a scary glare at the hybrid. "You prevented her from having french fries because of your stupid daggers. How could you do such a horrible thing?"
Klaus raised an eyebrow. "After everything I've done, this is what angers you."
"Yes!"
She turned back to Rebekah. "Don't worry. You'll be able to eat the Elysium worthy food soon enough. And pizza!"
The waiter returned with the waters and cheese fries. "The pizza will be out shortly."
Percy sent him another smile in appreciation.
She turned back to Rebekah. "Okay, now for the moment we've all been waiting for." The demigod pushed the plate of cheese fries toward the blonde.
The original noticed there wasn't any silverware. "There isn't a fork."
"You don't use a fork. You eat it like this." Percy picked up a french fry and threw it in her mouth.
Rebekah repeated her actions. Her eyes widened. "This is really good!"
The sea green eyed girl grinned proudly.
The waiter returned with the pizza. "Here you go. Can I get you anything else?"
Percy glanced at the other two people at the table before shaking her head. "No, thank you!"
"Alright. Enjoy your meal." The waiter left.
The demigod took a piece of pizza. "Mmm, I've missed you."
"Who?" The hybrid asked.
"Pizza. Duh."
He rolled his eyes, before he too took a slice of pizza.

The three stayed at the restaurant for hours simply talking and eating. They laughed over different stories they'd each share.
Percy had an effect on people that made them want to open up to her. She had this natural light in her that drew people in. Even those submerged in darkness felt the warm energy emitting from the sea green eyed girl. It was ironic how someone who often felt so broken could bring others happiness.
The three left the restaurant and went back to the hotel. Percy realized Rebekah didn't have a room. "Do you wanna have a sleepover?"
The blonde smiled and nodded.
"Goodnight, Nikkie." The demigod called out as she opened the door to her room.
"Goodnight, love."
The sea green eyed girl introduced the female original to the show, Supernatural. After watching a few episodes, the two drifted off to sleep.

One that made him stand between light and darkness. Nothing could escape him, so he was shunned by his people.”~ What did he do? Did he fight his fate? Did he hide his power? What was it?~“Oh, he fought. He fought a lot. And no thing could escape his power. It was something that everyone had to live with.”~So he became a hero and changed the world?~»…”~Tell me.~“Nooo, that’s not how the story goes. This isn’t a story of a noble man, doing good amidst a sea of monsters. This is a story of a demon who was… kinder than the rest.”~A kind demon?
