I looked at Hope as my eyes widened, "Kai? The Sociopath? Wasn't he in the prison world?!" I asked quickly trying to find answers, Hope crumpled up the piece of paper and gave it back to me. "He's here, I know it." She said before walking past me and out through the doors of the gym.
I obviously followed her since i'm the one he contacted, she walked outside. Standing by the entrance doors, I quickly caught up to her as Lizzie, Josie, and Landon followed.
By the gate I saw a tall, injured man with greyish brown hair and eyes of emerald. I squinted my eyes trying to see who it was, once I recognized the man my eyes widened. "Dad?.." I let out shakily, Hope looked at me confused "Your dad? Why's he here?" She asked, "I have no idea.."
(
Not to long after Alaric went outside, "Girls? Why are you out here? I saw you guys leave." Alaric asked, without even looking back i replied "My dad's back.." Even his expression was confused.
The tall man emerged from the shadows, smiling looking straight at me, "Octavia." He smiled weakly slowly opening his arms out, I quickly ran over to him embracing me into the tight hug.
"So I've been calling her an Orphan for nothing?" Lizzie asked watching, "Not now Lizzie, let them have the moment." Josie whispered nudging lizzie.
I pulled away looking at my dad with a small tear forming in my eye, I haven't seen him since mom died. "Hey baby." He cupped my face smiling, "You've grown so much, You look just like your mother." he whispered to me, "Yea, where have you been? I know you weren't in the military. what happened?!"

I questioned eagerly, "I know, I know. It's a long story but, just remember what I always told you to never-" His sentence was cut off, his smile slowly fading away from his stubby bearded face. "Never what?.. Dad?" I repeated, before I heard a whisper.
"Invisique Saeclum." A deep huskier voice said from behind my dad, My dad let out a breath and I looked behind him. Viewing a Tall Blue eyed man smirking at me as my father dropped to his knees and to the ground, I gasped seeing the blood pool from his shirt. Hope quickly tried to grab my arm, trying to get me away from The man standing before me. Lizzie, Josie, and Alaric all in shock as Alaric stood infront of the twins. "Kai.." I said to myself realizing
Everything felt like it was in slow motion, I pulled my arm away from Hope. I turned my head towards Kai seeing the heart in his blood covered hand, "Miss me?" He smirked and chuckled at his own phrase,
"Somnus." Hope whispered before Kai dropped to the ground next to my father. "no! NO!" I shouted dropping to my knee's holding up my fathers head, "You can't be dead! You were all I had please!" I yelled choking my my tears but they were already falling.
"Octavia.." Hope whispered, "NO IT WASNT SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THIS. HE WAS ALL I HAD I CAN'T.. I CANT DO THIS WITHOUT HIM HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE HERE." I sobbed, there was this feeling. Overwhelming grief. The feeling was to unbearable, I yelled in pain as I could feel the energy leaving my body in a green burst of magic pushing everyone away as it pulsed through and out of me. Feeling the ground beneath me shake, Lizzie, Josie, Alaric, And Hope fling back from the force and onto the ground.

I stopped screaming, gasping for air, shocked on what I just did. I looked at my fathers lifeless body then at Hope who was sitting up. Josie looked at me in pure shocked. I felt weaker, I got up and ran inside the school with all the energy I had leaning onto the wall for support just trying to get away.
I opened my door and went inside my room before closing it behind me. I couldn't breath, I was pacing with tears flooding my eyes attempting to undo my gown. I heard the door slam open, At that point I was hyperventilating. "Get it off, get it off get it off get it off!" I Pleaded, Hope began to untie the strings as I stood there hyperventilating. "GET IT OFF!" I shouted through my tears trying to just pull the dress off, "It's okay Octavia it's okay."
Hope attempted to calm me down wrapping her arms around my waist hugging me. I put my hands over hers and cried. It felt like I was crying for hours, "He's gone Hope, I watched him die infront of me and I just stood there I could have helped-" I turned to her, "Hey no none of this is your fault! Breathe, just breathe." "What am I going to do? He's gone Hope." I sniffled holding my tears back, "I don't know, but we are here. I'm here for you." She replied Calmly.
"Thank you Hope.." I whispered, "This is what friends are for." Hope whispered back.
