《It was only love || Hope Mikealson》🕯Chapter 2: Grief

I don't think i've ever felt so much, pain before.
I lay in my bed for what feels like days and I just have no energy to even think anymore.
I feel like just laying here all day, but I can't.
[
I slowly close octavia's door after she fell asleep, I feel horrible. I know exactly how she feels and I just wish I could help her. But I have something to take care of.
I walk down the schools hall and down into the basement where the werewolf transition cells are. By the time I arrive Alaric is there with his cross bow, I move close enough to see Kai, standing there in the cellar. He almost looked proud on what he had done, I hate him. But hatred gets no one anywhere, just more pain.
"What's all this staring for? I knew I was nice to look at but yikes, this is getting uncomfortable." Kai chuckled to himself, "Faith! It's you again, or was it Joy.. I just seem to never remember." He added after seeing me walk towards the cell
"I'm sure you remember it, Kai." I responded blandly folding my arms. "Enough with the chit- chat. Let's get this going." Alaric said staring to get impatient.
I turn my head towards Alaric then back to Kai,
"How did you find Octavia?" I asked, "Ooo fun an interigation." Kai replied back with a bit of sarcasm.
Alaric raised his crossbow and shot near kai's shoulder, "Answer the question." he demanded.
Kai looked down at the arrow that pierced through him and wrapped his right hand around the arrow before yanking it out, groaning in slight pain and tossing it to the floor.
"Yeesh, that hurt." Kai remarked looking back at the arrow then towards me, "Octavia has something I want, I needed it." He added looking towards alaric.

"What is it?" I asked, what could Octavia possibly have. She didn't even know about the supernatural.
" Nuh uh, no answers for free." he replied.
At this point I'm just waiting for when I can get rid of him.
"Then what you want." I said "Octavia." Kai shrugged , "Not the answer she wanted." Alaric commented.
Fell asleep around 4:28am, well that's the last time I remember after staring at the alarm clock by my bed. I heard my alarm at 7:30 am, I didn't get up. Or even open my eyes, I had already been awake but it's the same alarm Ive used since I was 12.
I laid there for a good 2 hours, I don't think I even had thoughts . It was an empty void in a space filled with background music, which sounds weird but it's true.
I opened my eyes for the first time and it was so incredibly bright, and quiet. So, so, quiet.
The loudest thing in the room was my own breathing, I liked it.
I sat up and brushed my hair behind my ears and took the hair tie on my wrist and brought it into a low loose ponytail. I was wearing a red tank top and black athletic shorts, who the hell wears athletic shorts to bed?
maniacs.
I changed into black leggings and a light grey Salvatore Boarding School sweatshirt, I pulled a pair of checkered slip on vans. I took my phone and airpods out, I put them both in and turned on a random playlist out of 74.
I opened the door and walked out to the hallway shutting my door behind me.
I walked down the hallways and I could tell that everyone was staring at me but if I ignored it, it's not happening.
I walk towards the breakfast area and grabbed a bowl and put some cinnamon toast crunch and almond milk into it.

"Who the hell uses almond milk unironically." I heard a girl comment, "You can't be rude Aly , her dad just died!" another girl shushed her.
I rolled my eyes and turned towards the two, "I'm lactose intolerant, you bitch." I responded bluntly setting the almond milk down and grabbing the bowl before walking away back to my dorm.
Halfway down the hall I looked down at my bowl , "shit. I forgot a spoon. welp." I thought to myself shrugging. I kept walking and saw a flyer right next to my door
"
I rip the flyer off the wall and folded it into my pocket. I checked the time it was already 10:30 am. I opened my door and closed it behind me setting the bowl of soggy cereal down and pulled of my sweatshirt over my head and onto the floor.
I changed into the same shorts I woke up with and a lilac coloured tank top. I looked under my bed and found some old nike running shoes and slipped them on. They were pre-tied because i'm an idiot and don't know how to tie my own.
I took out my ponytail and re tied it into a high ponytail, and walked out my door. I got lost a little bit on the way but in my defence, this school is just a bunch of hallways and painting.
I found the wickery field, and it just looked like a football field. I began jogging towards the other girls that were stretching, jogging, you know the basic cheerleading montage.
I got over towards the girls and they all slowly hushed down, but they were whispering. I couldn't exactly hear them so I just shrugged it off and kneeled onto the ground going into a right split to stretch. I mean, they did see my dad get murdered and then me have a huge meltdown. Most of which I can't remember but i'm fine with that.
I saw Caroline walk across the field coming towards us, I looked at her confused and she looked the same towards me. I didn't know she was the cheer coach, interesting.
"Octavia what are you doing here? Are you okay?" She asked me, she looked at me sympathetically. "I'm fine, I just thought trying out would be fun." I replied standing up.
"Okay, just if you need anything i'm here to talk. I know what it's light." She said placing her hand on my arm sympathetically.
"I'm sure you do." I replied placing my hand on hers, "Well then, girls get in a straight line."
We all got in a straight line as Caroline started numbering people down the line. I got 33 , She called everyone to do a toe-touch, defence and offence calls, a band dance and then lastly tumbling. I feel slightly dizzy but it must just be the sun. I look around and see Hope and Josie sitting on the bleachers.
I'm finally called up, "Number thirty-three step up!" Caroline calls out as I step in-front if the line.
"Do you know any tumbling?" She asked, I nodded in response, "Show me your best." Caroline added, I put my hands to my sides and put on a smile. I look towards Hope then Josie then back in-front of me. I feel like the sky is spinning around but I dismiss it. This is last part of the tryout.
I start running into an aerial but after I land , It's all black. I try to go into a round off but I don't remember ever actually doing it. All I heard was ringing, and then nothing. Pure Darkness.
