When the doors swung open, all the champions and their dates walked in accordingly. Each had to take positions for the traditional opening dance.

When the music started, Ophelia and Harry started gliding, though clearly not as smoothly as Hermione and Viktor. Viktor himself wasn't a great dancer, but Hermione was beyond perfection. As more and more people joined in on the dancing, Harry and Ophelia seemed to get more comfortable and better.

Though, after the first song both Ophelia and Harry were bored of the fancy dancing and decided to sit down with Ron while they waited for the better music to play.

"Ron please tell me you brought my sneakers?" Ophelia groaned, sitting down at the table next to Ron. "Rita got her stupid photos now I have no more desire to wear these heels.

Harry laughed as he sat down next to Ophelia and leaned back in his chair. They both seemed to notice something was off with Ron when he simply pulled out the sneakers but didn't move his head or say anything in response.

He was clearly staring at Hermione and Viktor, who were still dancing together.

"Maybe I should've won that stupid bet." Ophelia whispered to Harry before leaning forward and lightly tapping Ron's arm. "You alright Ron?"

Ron glanced to his side at Harry and Ophelia. He didn't even seem to care about the fact Ophelia was in a dress; it would've usually been a huge thing to him, but he was clearly focused on other things.

"He is way too old for her." Ron grunted, clearly talking about Krum. "Why did she go with HIM."

Ophelia glanced to Harry and shrugged before turning back to Ron.

"Maybe because he asked her first." Ophelia said. "I mean you could've-"

Ron cut her off.

"That's completely beside the point." Ron snarled before getting up and storming off. He was never like this, what got into him.

Ophelia leaned back in her chair and slid off her high heels casually, trying to ignore the fact that Ron was being a complete asshole. She slipped on her sneakers quickly when she heard the music change to something more upbeat; it seemed to be party music. She had heard rumours that Fred and George would be in charge of some of the music.

Ophelia glanced to Harry and smiled.

"You didn't last very long in heels." Harry laughed.

"I last longer in tougher conditions." Ophelia teased, leaning down from behind Harry's chair and kissing his neck once. "I'll stop being gross now though."

Ophelia laughed as she walked away, knowing damn well that Harry was blushing behind her. Sometimes, Ophelia missed the days where her and Harry acted more like bestfriends than boyfriend and girlfriend, but she had zero doubts that he was the one for her. She was in love with Harry Potter, and things were still very comfortable between them all the time, so she was happy that them dating hadn't ruined the friendship.

They were like bestfriends, just in love with each other. That's how it always should've been.

For majority of the night, Ophelia danced with Hermione, and sometimes with Harry. Though, her feet were sore by the time it was 10:00. Nobody was ready to stop though.

She was now dancing with Hermione and Ginny in the middle of the dance floor. People were standing around dancing, but mainly watching the three as they swayed. Everybody looked happy, and Harry seemed quite happy to see his 3 girl bestfriends, one his girlfriend, having fun.

Harry noticed from the corner of his eyes that Fred and George were smirking just as the song changed. He knew it was special because both Hermione and Ginny started clapping and cheering on Ophelia, though he was still very confused.

"What are they doing?" Ron asked Harry, clearly just as confused.

"I think Ophelia knows this song?" Harry replied with pure confusion as Hermione and Ginny started clapping on beat to the song.

Ophelia knew how to samba dance?

Harry watched in complete shock as Ophelia started swaying her hips perfectly and moving her arms. Both Ginny and Hermione walked over smiling and still clapping.

"She didn't tell you?" Ginny asked, still clapping and whistling as everybody joined in on the clapping.

"She did samba for years Harry, I'm surprised she didn't tell you." Hermione giggled, looking back to her sister.

Ophelia twirled perfectly, smiling as she did so; this was clearly her song, and everybody knew it. Even professor McGonagall and dumbledore were clapping to the beat and cheering her on. It seemed like it was straight out of a movie.

Ophelia twirled, crossing her legs perfectly as she did. She put out a hand and motioned towards Harry, telling him to join her.

"Not happening." Harry laughed, admiring her from feet away.

Ophelia ran over to him and grabbed his hand, pulling him to the middle of the dance floor with her.

"Just follow my lead." Ophelia grinned, taking Harry's hands and starting to sway once more.

Harry simply laughed and began dancing with her, realizing people are going to judge him no matter what he does, and that he should just enjoy his time with Ophelia. She really was teaching him how to live.

The two danced as everybody clapped to the beat. It was quite surprising how quickly Harry caught on and could perfectly twirl her into dips. They were truly having the time of their lives.

Ophelia twirled herself so that Harry could slide his hands down to her hips. She raised her hands up and swayed her hips against Harry's hip area to the beat song. She swayed her hips against him as the song slowly ended. He quickly twirled her and lowered her into a dip, making their eyes lock as the song ended.

Everybody was clapping, but all that mattered was the two to them were each other.

Harry's mouth parted slightly as he stared into her eyes . Her cheeks were a golden pink and made her look even more adorable.

Ophelia was speechless herself. Harry's hair was messy and ruffled on his head as he stared down at her. His hand was placed gently on her lower back even as he brought her up from the dip.

"Brilliant." Ophelia breathed, staring at Harry's smiling face which was barely inches away. This time, Ophelia was the one left speechless.

Despite the fact that the whole school was still standing around clapping, Harry leaned in and kissed Ophelia passionately. Some people went silent, and some clapped even louder. Ophelia and Harry were both blushing as they walked through the crowd and back to their seats, where they found Ron just sitting down again.

"Hey there Ronald." Ophelia laughed. She was in the greatest mood ever.

"Hey you two." Ron replied, clearly trying to hide the fact he was in a bad mood.

Harry sat down next to Ron once Ophelia sat herself on the table between them. The three sat there as slow dancing songs played. Many students were leaving, clearly tired considering it was already nearly 11:00.

Hermione walked over quickly and sat down next to Ophelia on the table. Ron went silent when she did, but Harry and Ophelia both kept talking for a moment.

"What is your issue Ron?" Hermione pried.

Ron instantly stood up and stormed off, causing Hermione to follow after him.

"We should follow them yeah?" Ophelia sighed, standing up. Harry nodded as he followed Ophelia through the room and after their friends.

As the two walked into the hallway, they could hear the two yelling over the distant music. It seemed that Hermione was much more upset than Ron all of a sudden.

Ophelia sped up her walking pace, causing Harry to do the same.

"Next time there's a ball, pluck up the courage and ask me before somebody else does!" Hermione yelled. "And not as a last resort!"

"Well that's completely beyond the point." Ron snarled, already walking up the stairs.

Ophelia stopped dead in her tracks when she saw Hermione's teary face as she stood there, completely speechless by Ron's actions. It seemed Hermione did not get the night she deserved, and that broke Ophelia's heart.

"Where have you been?" Hermione snapped, turning around to Harry and Ophelia. "Nevermind, off to bed, all of you!"

Harry rushed past Hermione and over to Ron's side, pulling Ophelia behind him. When they reached the halfway mark, Ophelia turned around and let go of Harry's hand.

"She needs me Harry." Ophelia sighed, leaning up and kissing Harry. "I'll be up in a bit."

Ophelia ran down the stairs and sat down next to Hermione.

"How do you stay together Ophelia?" Hermione said, looking up at Ophelia. "You never break!"

Ophelia pulled Hermione into a soft hug and rubbed her back. Hermione was staring at the golden bottle necklace around Ophelia's neck as she hugged her, realizing now why Harry gave it to her.

Ophelia was like a glass bottle, but she never broke; one day she would, but nobody knows when it will happen.

"Thank you Ophelia." Hermione sighed, standing up. "I'll see you in the morning."

Hermione took a deep breath and ran up the stairs. What a crazy night.
