A figure could be seen laying weakly on the enormous bed. A physician with a deep frown on his face closely examined the sleeping girl. Silence engulfed the tense room until one of the many figures in the room spoke to the physician. The one who broke the silence was the father of the girl, Duke of Forest, Lord Mathias Langston.

"How's she?"

"My grace, Lady Ava exhausted herself and her body needs rest. External stress adds the burden to her lethargic self and that's the reason why she's collapsed. Her body is at its limit. Her priority now is to rest and after 2 or 3 days she will recover fully."

"I understand. Thank you. Clarissa escorts the physician out."

"I will prescribe some vitamins for Lady Ava. No need to worry too much your Grace."

"Wait, when will she wake up?"

"She will wake up soon. My Lady only on a sleeping state now, my Grace."

Clarissa escorted the physician out under the Duke's orders and got the prescribed medications for her Lady. Everyone wore a worried face and did not leave her Lady's bedroom ever since Prince Noah brought back her fainted Lady. It caused uproar in the mansion and it only calmed a bit for now. Prince Noah has also not even left Lady Ava's side until now.

"Emmy, Livia, Easton go rest. Your sister will be fine. Dear, you should rest too. Our daughter is a strong person, she will wake up soon. Don't worry."

"But dear..."

"Father's right, let's go, rest mother. We have to appear looking fine when sister wakes up, otherwise, she will be sad and worried."

After that, the siblings went out with her mother to rest their tired bodies and mind. If by chance they looked haggard or sick when Ava woke up, she will only blame herself for their state.

"Your Highness, thank you so much for bringing my daughter back safely when she's fainted. Thanks to you she's able to get the treatment fast. I'm indebted to you, Your Highness."

"Don't mention it, my Lord. Lady Ava is my fiancée, nevertheless, she is part of my responsibility too."

When hearing the reply of the prince, a small smile could be seen on the Duke's face. He felt at ease such a person is the fiancee of his daughter.

"My Lord, if it's not too much, can I stay until Lady Ava wakes up?"

"Aren't you busy your Highness? We don't want to disturb your plan."

"No worries, I'm not busy at the moment my Lord."

The prince's knight, Sir Edmund Bismuth's face twitched at his master's reply.

"Well then, I'm leaving Ava to you, Your Highness. Make yourself at home and if you need anything just called out the maids, your Highness."

"Understood. Take a rest, my Lord. Anything I will call for you."

After everyone left, Sir Edmund left the couple and stand outside the bedroom while the prince slowly took a seat beside Ava and held her hand in his. His hands looked big compared to her petite hands. His calloused hands lightly brushed onto her smooth skin.

"Please wake up, Ava. Don't sleep for too long." The prince muttered in a small voice while tucking hair behind the girl's ear.

After some time, the tiredness slowly dawned on his body. Since the beginning, his body felt so tense, and only now he could relax for a bit. His state of mind was in chaos and nothing could calm his nerves down. Never in his life, has he felt terrified and anxious.

What is this girl had done to himself?

He didn't know when the girl had entered his eyes. Without his notice, the girl had occupied his mind - her smile, her laugh, her gaze. Everything about her was deeply engraved in his mind, even her small habits never failed to go unnoticed by his eyes.

During his coming-of-age ceremony, the girl had looked unbelievably beautiful that he hardly keep himself sane. On that night, the men's eyes shamelessly eyed her like a predator and it angered him, his body felt burning with wrath and he only wanted to gauge those eyes that looked at her lewdly. He barely suppress his anger but it exploded when she was embraced by that man, Hart Ellington. Without wasting any time, he quickly snatched and broke them apart.

The moment he placed his hand on her waist, a tingling sensation surged through his body. The way the dress fluctuated her curves in a godly way made him want to wrap her with a blanket, to cover her from others' gaze.

Remembering all that made him tighten his hold on her hands. He rested his forehead on their intertwined hands.

She will be fine, she will be fine.
