We all got up and walked into the clearing the next day, standing together with our little families and respective loved ones. Emmett, Emalie and I front and center, so it wouldn't look like we were trying to hide anything. Edward and Bella, stood not far behind us. We all waited until Edward gave us the sign that they were close and approaching. We all looked out to the tree line, snow covered the ground and the trees, and we heard the running. The large Volturi group close.

"If we live through this." Garrett pointed out. "I'll follow you anywhere, woman." He smiled at Kate, who stood by him. She smiled at him and shook her head.

"Now, you tell me."

The Volturi walked through the tree line.

"The redcoat's are coming, the redcoat's are coming." Garrett said as he bounced on his feet anxiously.

The Volturi group was large. Much larger than our 28 Vampires. Emalie clung to me tighter seeing them approaching and I held her back, letting her know she was okay. Aro, Caius, Marcus, stood front and center, with the rest of the guard just behind them. The witnesses taking up the back. I took quick notice of Jane and Alec's whereabouts. Edward and Bella walked forward slightly, joining us at the front.

"Aro's looking for Alice." Edward said quietly.

We all took notice of Irina traveling with them. The Denali sister's, stiffened at the sight of her. I could see Irina gasp and look at them in shock, clearly confused why they would have joined us. The wolves all howled in the distance, walking forward out of the tree line behind us. Both Sam and Jacob's pack had come to join the fight with us. Making our number grow, although slight. Jacob walked forward and stood beside me. The sight of the wolves, stopped the Volturi from walking any further towards us.

"Aro, let us discuss things as we used to do. In a civilized manner." Carlisle stepped forward and spoke surely and clearly.

"Fair words, Carlisle." Aro said. "But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us."

"I can promise you, that was never my intent." Carlisle said. I watched Aro peek around him at my daughter. I glared at him and held her closely. "No laws have been broken."

"We see the child." Caius stated firmly. "Do not treat us as fool's."

"She is not an immortal!" Carlisle shouted. "These witnesses can attest to that. Or you can look." He gestured back to Emalie with his hand. "See the flush of human blood in her cheeks."

"Artifice!" Caius shouted back.

"I will collect every facet of the truth." Aro held up a hand to silence them. "But from someone more central to the story. Emmett, as the child clings to your newborn mate, I assume you are involved." He held out a hand and walked a few steps forward.

Emmett smiled down at Emalie and brushed her hair back. He gave me a look and then walked forward towards the Volturi member's. I adjusted Emalie, putting her between Jacob's wolf and I, concentrating solely on Emmett. Trying to will out my shield. Bella beside me, grabbed my hand. We both attempted to shield him, only for it to snap back at us.

Aro took Emmett's hand in his own, cupping it, reading his mind. Aro's face went through a series of emotions, before he dropped his hand and looked over at Emalie and I again.

"I'd like to meet her." He said intrigued.

Emmett hesitantly turned around and gave us a look, telling us to come forward. I looked at him and then at Edward, who gave me a slight nod, after reading his mind. I held Emalie's hand and we walked forward. I looked back at Jake and Edward. They followed with us, Bella moving to stand with Carlisle and Esme. We gave them no look's of fear, only determination and anger.

"Ah." Aro said as we all arrived. The smile on his face was big. "Young (Y/n)." He elongated my name. "Immortality becomes you." Aro listened to the sound of Emalie's beating heart, and laughed his high pitched sound."I hear her strange heart."

Emalie looked up at me and I smiled down at her. Reassuring her it was okay. Aro bent down slightly looking at her. Emalie slowly walked away from me toward's him ready to show him everything, just as she'd done so many times before. Jacob let out a low growl. Emmett and I tensed, standing together. Edward stood ready, reading everyone's mind, in case anyone had any idea's on harming her.

Aro's hand, went out toward's Emalie, but she stayed serious and looked up at him ignoring his hand.

"Hello, Aro." He sweet voice came out soft and serious.

Emalie slowly moved her hand toward's Aro's face, confusing him for a moment, until she touched his cheek. His face showed complete amusement.

"Magnifico." Aro said softly. His face once full of wonder and curiosity, turned sullen and he backed away from her. I quickly stepped forward and pulled her back toward's me. "Half mortal, half immortal. Conceived and carried by this newborn, while she was still human." He gestured back to me, speaking every word slowly.

"Impossible!" Caius scoffed. Jacob began snarling as Aro whipped his head around toward him. Edward, quickly ushering us all back toward's the family behind us.

"Do you think they fooled me, brother?"

Jacob snarled once before walking back with us. Which the Volturi found amusing. Caius never stopped gazing at Aro and called out behind him.

"Bring the informer forward." The guard brought Irina forward and everyone moved closer with them. She gave a sorrowful glance to her sister's. "Is that the child you saw?" Caius asked, pointing a finger at us as we reached our family.

She looked at us and then looked down to the ground.

"I-I'm not sure."

"Jane." Caius called out to her, for her to use her gift's.

"She's changed." Irina said quickly. "This child is bigger." Her voice filled with emotion.

"Then your allegation's were false." Caius stated.

"The Cullen's are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake." Irina looked over to her sister's, Tanya and Kate, mouthing to them that she was sorry.

One of the guard member's, lit up a flame. We all watched as the following event's unfolded before us.

"Caius, no!" Edward shouted, realizing whatever it was before us all.

Felix, stepped forward and swiftly, took Irina's head from her body. Caius grabbing the flame and bringing it down on her body.

"Irina!" Tanya and Kate screamed for their sister. The two blonde's ran forward screaming in agony at them.

Many member's of our group attempted to grab them. If they fought, it would cause a fight we still weren't sure was going to take place. I grabbed Emalie and placed her on Jacob's back, putting the backpack I packed on her. Henry dashed after Tanya and Eleazar tried to get Kate, only to be zapped away. Garrett came up behind her and wrapped his arm's around her tightly. She was shocking him with everything she had. Bella sent out her shield to Garrett to help him hold her back.

"Blind them." Emmett said to Zafrina.

Both Kate and Tanya immediately stopped struggling as hard, given that they couldn't see.

"Give me my sight back." Tanya shook with anger.

"Tanya, this is what they want." Edward walked over and spoke softly to her.

"If you attack now, we'll die." Emmett said walking over to them.

She stopped struggling and the boy's looked at Zafrina, who lifted her gift. Edward and Emmett walked away from her back to the center of the group, facing the Volturi members once again. Bella and I both watched Aro subtly look at Jane and we prepared our shield's.

"Pain." Jane said and both Edward and Emmett fell to the ground, groaning in agonizing pain.

The second Emmett's knees hit the ground, my shield stretched out from my body. I felt it wrap around him like a protective bubble. I felt myself covering both of them, along with being able to feel Bella's shield too. We stretched our shield's across the people on our side. Emmett stood to his feet and walked back over to me, wrapping his arm around me. Jane's eye's searched each member of our group, but no one fell. No one felt pain.

"It's working." Emmett said softly.

Edward stood my next to my sister, smiling ever so softly. Jane's focus landed on mine, it was like I could feel her trying to attack my shield, but it didn't falter or fade. I only smirked at her in response. Jane stopped her gift and tried to step forward angrily, only to be stopped by Alec.

The Volturi all looked angrily at us, confused and upset that we had a way to defeat their offensive gift's so easily. The wolves snarled and Alec narrowed his gaze. His hand's beginning to let out his black smoke. Aro lifted a hand to stop him, making it return to his body.

"Aro, you see there's no law broken here." Carlisle stated, ready to have everyone go home.

"Agreed." Aro gave a slight smile. He licked his lips and tilted his head. "But does it then follow that there is no danger?" He took a few steps forward. "For the first time in our history, humans pose a threat to our kind. Their modern technology has given birth to weapons that could destroy us." He looked back to us curiously. "Maintaining our secret has never been more imperative." His words as he nodded caused most of the guard member's to smirk, making us all frown. "In such perilous times, only the known is safe. Only the known is tolerable, and we know nothing of what this child will become. Can we live with such uncertainty? Spare ourselves a fight today, only to die tomorrow."

I was furious, it didn't matter what we did, they were prepared to send us to our death's and that included my little girl. I was not about to let that happen. Emmett and I both intensely glared at the Volturi member's standing protectively in front of Jacob and Emalie. Edward perked up after a second looking to the woods next to us, gaining all our attention. Out from the forest walked Alice and Jasper, side by side.

"Alice." Edward said quietly.

"Alice." Aro gasped in excitement.

Alice walked by giving me a knowing look. But they didn't stop to stand with us. They walked straight over to the Volturi side. Met quickly by Demetri, stopping them from going any further.

"My dear, dear Alice, we're so glad to see you here, after all." Aro said happily.

"I have evidence that the child won't be a risk to our kind." Alice stated, trying to push through the guard members holding her back. "Let me show you." She held out her hand as she spoke kindly.

"Brother." Caius said unsure. Aro motioned for her to be let through.

Alice pushed away the guard members and walked over toward's Aro. Demetri slapped Jasper face as he tried to fight to go with her. Aro grapped Alice's hand quickly, being pulled into whatever her vision was, and he looked almost frightened.

"It doesn't matter what I show you." Alice growled as he began to smile. "Even when you see. You still won't change your decision." She tore her hand away from him and turned looking directly at me. "Now!" She mouthed.
