《Our Eternity : Emmett Cullen x Reader》New Moon: The Beginning of Our 18th Birthday

It's been 8 months since I met Emmett Cullen. 7 months since Emmett and I became a couple. And 7 months since I entered into the world of the supernatural. That's right, my boyfriend is a vampire. He's not the scary fanged kind, with dungeons, moats, capes and coffins. He's the tough, strong kind on the outside. But inside, he's a caring, loving, sweet, gentleman. Who buys me flower's randomly. Who constantly makes me laugh. He is constantly saving me from the danger's of the world.
I've been having nightmares since the incident with James that happened 6 months ago. Emmett sleep's over every night, sneaking in though my window, which is on the second floor by the way. But he's a vampire, it's easy for him. Having Emmett there next to me at night lessens the chance of me having a nightmare. He make's me feel safe and protected. And since the incident, he's become twice as overprotective then he was before.
Sure it's within the right reasoning for him to be. Sometimes it can be a bit much. But I love him all the same. My arm, shoulder, wrist and hand are healed now. Got my brace off yesterday. 6 month's of physical therapy it took to get my arm back to a semi-normal state. It still shakes a bit sometimes but at least there's no pain anymore.
My sister you ask? Oh, Bella's great. Madly in love with another vampire herself. Emmett's adopted brother Edward Cullen. Since the incident though she's changed. She's obsessed with wanting to become a vampire herself. Edward refuses to take her 'humanity' from her. Which I agree with. I don't want to change unless I have to. Sure I don't want to be to much older than Emmett when or if I change. But my sister. She's gone full crazy with it. She has refused to go beyond 18 without becoming changed. That's kind of where our story begins.
"Do you think she'll be pissed?" Emmett whispered looking at me sleeping on my bed. Sprawled out, drooling, hair a mess.
"Oh, yeah. She'll hate you for about an hour. You sure you want to do this?" My twin sister asked him.
"Oh, yeah. I can handle her tiny angry butt." He smirked at her.
They held their confetti canons steady, silly string spray, armed and ready to go, and a loud blow horn.
"3...2...1... GO! HAPPY BIRTHDAY (Y/N)!" Emmett and Bella screamed at the top of their lungs. The horn went off near my ear making me jump about 10 feet in the air and fall to the floor.
"What the hell!" I shouted angrily. I looked up for a mere second and suddenly was being attacked by silly string and confetti canons blasting at me. "Stop it!" I whined and pouted.
"Happy birthday, babe!" Emmett said happily leaning down to try and kiss my forehead. I leaned away from him and tossed my hand in his face.
"Nope! Talk to the hand." I scoffed.
"Come on, babe. It was just a harmless birthday prank. Kiss me." He grinned.
"No, I hate you. Both of you." I glared at each of them. I slowly got up off the floor only to be engulfed by two giant arms.
"Well, now I'm not letting go until you take that back." Emmett gripped me tightly enough without hurting me, but I couldn't get away.
"I'm going to get ready for school now. You two might want to hurry up. Love you, (Y/n/n)." Bella said leaving the room.

"I hate you too!" I yelled after her and I could hear her chuckle across the hall. "You know you're so cleaning this mess. The whole thing. All by yourself." I gestured to the string and confetti all over my floor, while trying to keep a serious straight face.
"Will you take back your I hate you, if I promise to clean it?" He raised an eyebrow and moved his head to look at me from the side since he was behind me.
"I'll think about it." I stated.
"Come on, stop being stubborn. I'll clean your entire room." He practically begged. I squinted my eyes at him and pretended to think about it for a minute.
"Deal, now let me go." Emmett released his grip. I stepped away from him, turning my body to face him. "I don't hate you. I love you very much." I smiled ear to ear.
He opened his arm's wide. I jumped into his embrace and wrapped my leg's around his waist, kissing his face all over and then finally on the lips.
"I love you, (Y/n). Happy Birthday." He whispered into our kiss.
"Thanks." I pulled back and looked at his handsome face. "We probably should get ready for school and you should go, before my Dad gets here." I kissed his forehead sweetly. Emmett set me down on the bed and headed over to the window.
"See you at school." He winked and jumped away.
I shook my head and went on my way doing my morning routine. Shower, clothes, teeth, hair.
"Happy Birthday, dear sister." I said happily as I made my way into the kitchen. I handed her a small red box.
"I thought we said no gifts, (Y/n)." Bella groaned.
"Just open it." I rolled my eyes at her. She opened the box to find a small, square, photo frame that I painted. With a picture of the two of us in it.
It was a picture of the two of us at Prom, just before we left the house. Her blue dress, my (Y/F/C) one, her boot cast, my giant arm cast. Making goofy faces at our Dad who took the picture.
"Wow. It's amazing, (Y/n). Thank you." She stood up and hugged me tightly, which I return. She pulled away and reached into her pocket. "Here." She handed me a small black box.
"I thought we said no gifts, Bella?" I mocked her and I raised an eyebrow at her. She stuck her tongue out at me. I opened the box to see two identical beautiful opal rings.
"It's a twin ring. You get one and I get one. That way when we look at them, if we are ever apart, we will always think of each other." Bella said shyly, smiling at me.
"Bella, it's beautiful. Thank you." I handed her her's, while I slid mine onto my pinky finger.
"Happy Birthday." Dad said happily entering the kitchen with gift's.
"Dad, we said no gifts." Bella and I said in unison.
"Well, the one from me isn't wrapped. So it doesn't count." He gave us a smug smile. Dad handed each of us a small digital camera.
"That's actually great, Dad." Bella smiled looking at the camera.
"Thanks, Dad." I gave him a hug.
"It goes with this, it's from your mom. We coordinated. Well, she coordinated me." Dad chuckled and gave us each our gift. We both open it to find a scrap book for picture's. "It's to, uh, put your pictures in from senior year." He sighed. "Senior year... how did you guy's get so old, so fast." He looked at us as if he's remembering when we were little babies.

"I didn't." Bella remarked quickly with a scowl on her face. "I'm not that old."
"I don't know. Is that a gray hair?" He teased her reaching for her head. Bella pulled away and jumped up running to the mirror in the hallway. Dad and I both laughed.
"No. No way." Bella scoffed as she heard us laughing. She walked back around the corner angrily. Dad held his hand's up defensively.
"Happy Birthday." He grinned at us both and walked away.
Bella and I rode to school together in the truck. When we pulled in, we saw Eric, Angela, Mike, and Jess standing there waiting.
"Today's a big day, guys." Jess looked at us. We both froze, figuring someone spilled the beans about our birthday. "The R and J essay due?" She said seeing our confused expressions. Both of sighed in relief.
"Oh, yeah." I nodded my head.
"Let me take a picture of you guys. Our mom want us to put together like a big scrapbook full of memories." Bella said taking out her camera.
"Oh, yeah." Jess agreed happily, always ready to have her picture taken. The four of them scooted over closer together.
"I take em' im not in em'." Angela tried to protest but Eric made her join in.
Bella clicked the camera button, taking the picture, we quickly got one with both of us and them.
"Oh, good Cullen's here." Mike remarked sourly as Edward's car pulled into the lot.
"Yay." Eric said sarcastically.
"Well, we'll talk to you later." Jess said in an unhappy tone.
"Happy Birthday." Edward smirked as he walked up towards us. He pulled Bella in for a hug and kissed her forehead.
"Don't remind me." She rolled her eyes.
"You can remind me. Since you know I was born on this day too. Since I don't particularly think it's all that bad. I'm just avoiding it for her sake." I stated while I glared at Bella.
"Happy birthday, (Y/n)." Edward chuckled and gave me a quick hug. "She's right though. It's not all that bad. Bella, your birth is definitely something to celebrate." They got super close and lovey dovey.
"Yeah, but my agings not." Bella grumbled.
"You're aging?" Edward laughed. "I think 18 is a little young to start worrying about that."
"It's one year older than you." Bella retorted.
"No, it isnt. Im 109." He replied with a smirk.
"Wow, maybe I shouldn't be dating such an old man. It's gross. I should be throughly repulsed." Bella said and I snorted at her comment which appeared to go unnoticed, because they started to kiss in front of me.
"Oh, god. Ew. I'm going to go wait for my boyfriend somewhere else now." I said, walking away.
They both chuckled. Before I could make it too far I got called back.
"(Y/n), wait." Edward said annoyed. "Someone want's you." I turned around to see Jacob Black walking toward's me.
"(Y/n)." He grinned widely at me.
"Jacob." I smiled at him. Bella and Edward walked away a bit, so I could somewhat privately talk to Jacob.
"Hello, biceps." I told him as he got closer and wrapped me in a hug. "You know, anabolic steroids are really bad for you." I laughed as we pulled away. He chuckled.
"Well I'm just filling out, (Y/n)." He smirked and wiggled his eyebrows. "You know it wouldn't seem so drastic if we hung out more. Like old times."
"You could switch schools." I wiggled my brows back at him.
"I'm all right. I prefer the Rez school's exclusivity. They let any old riffraff into this place." He smiled getting a bit closer.
"I see." I shook my head, knowing exactly who he was referring to. "Then why are you slummin' it? Hmm?"
"I was just buying a part for the Rabbit. You should really come take a ride when it's done." He smirked.
"Is it fast?" I joked.
"Uhm, it's decent."
"I'm kidding." We both laugh awkwardly.
"Good." He stated. Then, there was awkward silence. "Hey! Happy birthday." He grinned.
"Hmm thanks... Now, did you remember or..?" I asked suspiciously.
"Of course. I remembered what kinda best friend would I be if I forgot the day of your birth, huh?... So, I saw this the other day. And I thought of you." He pulled out a really beautiful handmade dream catcher.
"Wow, Jacob." I admired it.
"It catches bad dreams." He smiled.
"That's pretty perfect actually." I took it from his hand's. "Thank you."
"No problem." He smiled sweetly at me. "I actually have one here for Bella, too. But you should probably give it to her."
"Ya, you're probably right. I will."
"Good seeing you, (Y/n)."
"Yeah, I'll see you later, Jake." He pulled me in for a lingering hug.
When we said good bye, Bella, Edward, and I began to walk inside the school.
"Emmett, would have been really pissed at that hug." Edward grumbled. I knew he was annoyed at whatever Jacob was thinking.
"Well, not all of. us can read minds and he wasn't here was he? Where is he anyways?" I asked sourly.
"Closer than you think." Edward smiled suddenly as we rounded the corner.
When we did my heart melted. Emmett was standing in front my my locker, which was all decked out in balloons and paper streamer's. He was holding a single rose.
"Oh my, god. Emmett." I turned tomato red. "What's all of this for?"
"Gotta mark the joyous occasion, of the the love of my life's birth." He smirked and handed me the rose.
"This is super over the top, babe. But I love it. Thank you." I kissed him softly.
Edward and Bella made fake gagging noises at us.
"What's that all about?" Emmett pulled away and gestured his head towards them.
"Oh, it's payback. Because you left me alone outside with them. They had a whole make out session in front of me it was super awkward." I laughed.
"It wasn't a make out session. We kissed once. You just happened to be there." Bella said rolling her eyes.
"Yeah, but to make matter's worse we were interrupted." Edward shook his head annoyed.
"By who?" Emmett raised a brow.
"Jacob Black." Edward said.
"Seriously?" Emmett turned to look at me. "What did he want this time? For you to break up with me again?" He scoffed.
"No. He came to wish me a happy birthday. Which by the way. Bella, here." I handed her the other dream catcher. "It's from Jacob."
"Thanks." Bella admired it for a moment before she tucked it into her bag.
"So you'll accept a third party gift from Jacob Black, but not from me?" Edward asked her, his jealousy showing. They walked away to talk.
"So what did he get you?" Emmett asked curiously. I showed him the dream catcher.
"It's pretty. And perfect too. Those nightmares are keeping me up again." I shrugged and put it back into my bag.
"I thought they were getting better?" He tucked a strand of my hair back behind my ear before taking my left hand and rubbed his thumb over the crescent moon shaped scar on my wrist. He sighed and I placed my other hand on his cheek.
"They were... They are... It just freaks me out that she's still out there somewhere you know?" I told him truthfully.
"I promise I'm always gonna keep you safe. No one's going to hurt you ever again." He whispered quietly and leaned in to kiss me.
"(Y/n)!" Alice shouted from the stairs, before hopping down over the railing like the non-human she is. "Bella, you too!" Bella and Edward made their way back over towards us. "Happy Birthday!" Alice said in a sing song voice.
"Shhh..." Bella said hugging her.
"Thank you, Alice." I hugged her next. She smirked and handed us each a gift.
"I thought we said no presents." Bella scoffed.
"I've already seen you open it and guess what? You both love it! You're going to wear it tonight. Our place." Alice stated firmly.
"Okay." I said and she squealed hugging me tightly again.
"All right." Bella said with a small smile.
"Great, we will see you at seven!" She walked over to Jasper who had been standing a small distance away from us.
"Jasper. No fair with the mood control thing." Bella called out to him. It made me laugh that he felt he had to change her mood using his gift's.
"Sorry, Bella. Happy... never mind." He said seeing her facial expression. He turned to me and grinned widely. "Happy birthday, (Y/n)."
"Thank you!" I called out after them as Alice and Jasper walk away.
"Can't trust Vampires." Edward smirked and shrugged. "Trust me."

The Granddaughter of Time
Teresa Hargrove was okay with giving up. She knew the Earth was doomed and there was nothing to be done about it. What she was not okay with was the Future, an enigmatic woman nearly fanatical in her devotion to making a difference, dragging her along — seemingly, to prove her wrong. It turns out though that the Future is very hard to understand. This story contains heavy themes, including mental illness, existential crisis and death. However, I still tried to eventually convey a message of hope. Several mythical and metaphorical beings in the shape of humans will appear in most chapters. However, they are not meant to be of a specific ethnicity or social background and are instead perceived differently by people around them. For your reading pleasure, feel free to imagine them any way you’d like, even if your imagination contradicts descriptions from the story. Enjoy!~
