Dear Hidimba

I am writing this letter to tell you something I always wanted to tell you if in any way we ever met. You were my source of inspiration since the very beginning. I loved your strength and valor. People say that you were a demon I never accepted this truth. For me, you were the daughter of nature, the queen of kamayaka who never gave up. You remain unsung for your sacrifices in the whole epic. I smile at those who said what did you sacrificed to contribute to the epic or what was your role? They never realized that letting go in life the purest form of love and the biggest sacrifice. Everyone wants to get their love back and keep it with them always only a few dare to let it go that too forever. You loved Bheem with all your heart but never intend to bind him with you. At the time you let him know that he will never return. You never got any position or recognition as the first daughter in law on kuruvansh but you never demanded anything. You never asked for your right. At the same time, you raised your son as a very good-hearted person. You sacrificed both your son and grandson in the war you have nothing to do with. If these things don't make you great then I don't know what the definition of greatness is. You taught me my definition of Dharma and that is selfless love. You may be forgotten by all but a few like us will always remember your sacrifices and valor.
