'yes he was a darker one with red strips that look like the emperor but then again if i remember correctly the soilders was talking about a unconscious hedgehog was found and taken to the prison before we entered the city maybe he the aider ' 'that sound like shadow but is it the shadow that i know because if it is he won't help he will just kill me' knuckles look back to sonic and place his hand on sonic shoulder 'saviour i wish we could help in take back the jewels but they took five of them and outnumbered us when trying to protect them but we even lost so many of are people during it' sonic look at knuckles and can see the weight that he was carrying on his shoulders just for the deaths of his tribe members when protecting the emeralds is enough to make him feel guilt 'don't worry i will bring them back to you and i will stop memphis while i'm at it so he won't mess with you guys again just go back to you island and i will be there in no time' sonic made a smile and put a thumbs up to knuckles again with his tribe kneeled down to sonic and thank him 'please savior i thank you for your help and try your best the whole world may be in your hands and remember that are island is floating in the sky and always follow the north star to reach us' 'i'll be back with the emeralds' soon as sonic said his goodbyes knuckles look back then the a echidna child went to her leader 'leader why did you not mention about the sacrifice he must make' knuckles bent down to the child and spoke to her gently 'child there are only thing i can tell him and not to tell him as the master jewel said to us it could change everything if i do'

Sonic was on his way back and was on the outside of the town of pompeii 'I think i will need to keep my face hidden for a while until i get to the emeralds and then i need to find shadow after i'm sure he can take care of himself.
sonic took cover in the streets and alleyways to the roof of the city so he wouldn't get caught by anyone 'now where would they have took the emeralds if they just came back with them i'm sure they would be with memphis unless he has kept them close to him so maybe he would keep them were he lives just' sonic was looking around to try and find a place to go and look up to the most impressive looking building he could find and there it was a large building that look like a roman palace just suitable for a emporer to live in 'i'l try there first' as sonic got closer there were two thing he notice 1 there was hardly anyone on the streets for some reason and two the closer he got to the palace the more he sence the power of the emerald near by 'i was right there close they must be in there yeah now it time to bust in and find them'
Memphis was watching the battle between the soldiers and shadow and was a bit disappointing as shadow was doing well but his army was not so much but on the upper hand when one solider go down two more replace them as he had a large number of soldiers wait fir there time to take down shadow and impress there emporer just then infinite came up to the side of memphis and bowed before him 'my lord we have place the jewels in your vault as you ask' memphis stood up from his large klismos and started walking away from the show i'll will be back soon memphis stay here just in case the blue hedgehog arrives to save his friend i'll take the other guards with me' infinite nodded and watch the battle and saw that the black hedgehog was getting more weaker by the minute must be from exhausted then memphis left to head to his vault
