'What an idiot..'

It went on like this for days. Asher would spend most of his time with the gang, think of Saiki, pull out his phone and randomly start messaging him.

It would probably become a bad habit, but who cares!?

It was currently the fourth day of Saiki being gone, midday. They were at lunch.

They pushed a few tables together so they could just eat in the classroom. It was Kaidou, Nendou, Aren, and Asher.

"I miss Saiki..." the brunette muttered, poking at the food he had packed earlier that day. It was just leftovers of the dinner he made yesterday.

"Hm? What about our pal?" Nendou questioned.

Asher shook his head. "Nothin'. Anyways, do you guys wanna come over to my house today? Saiki helped me unpack a while ago, and I've been feelings bored as hell recently."

Aren and Nendou (somehow) both had their own things to do, so the only one available was Kaidou.

"You sure you're fine with just us two? You don't have to force yourself or somethin'..."

'He sounds so sad! I can't refuse to that!!'

"N-no, it's fine! I have nothing else to do anyways, Asher-kun."

He groaned. "Please drop the fucking honorific, Kaidou. It's weird."

"But-"

"No 'but's. Seriously, Asher is just fine."

"Okay..."

"I'm home.." Asher muttered as he kicked off his shoes and stepped inside of his house.

"Are your parents here..?"

'I've gotta make sure I don't make a fool out of myself!!'

"Nahh, my mom's probably out working one of her jobs. Let's go up to my room."

He led the blue haired boy into his room.

'It totally fits him...'

The bed was close to the ground, and had black sheets on it and a little nightstand beside it with a lamp. There was a closet against the wall with mirrors on the front, with another dresser beside it. The dresser held up a flower pot with a pretty flower growing from it. There was another door on the other side of the room, and clothes thrown on the ground.

"Oh- I forgot I left my room like this.." he quickly grabbed the dirty clothes and tossed them to the corner of the room. "Go ahead and take a seat. I'm gonna grab a tv from the spare room and set it up in here."

Kaidou nodded and slowly sat down on the end of Asher's bed.

'Why do I suddenly feel so nervous? It's just Asher-kun. Nothing could go wrong. He's a cool dude, anyways. We're pals- buddies. Friends.'

Asher came walking back in with a tv. It wasn't too big, just a normal sized tv. He made adjustments to the room, moving the flower pot on the dresser so he could put the tv on it instead, before dropping down beside Kaidou.

"Anything you're interested in watching, Kai?"

"Huh? 'Kai'?"

"Oh, sorry. Just thought it would be easier, but I can just--"

"No!" Kaidou blushed from his outburst, clearing his throat. "It's fine. Kai is fine..."

"Mhm... well, movie?"

"I'm fine with anything."

'Thank you so much for your help, Kaidou.' He mentally rolled his eyes.

"Well... I've been interested in some action movies from America, I think you'd like them," he changed the tv so it was on "Spider-Man". "You're gonna have to read the subtitles, but it'll be worth it."

"If you say so."

He started the movie. "Do you want anything to snack on? We don't have much- maybe a bag of chips and root beer."

"It's fine," he only glanced at Asher.

'Is he uncomfortable?'

The brunette hummed, pulling a blanket over both of them before directing his attention to the tv.

Soon enough, the credits were rolling on the screen.

"Damn, that movie never gets old," Asher grinned.

Kaidou nodded. "Yeah, that was actually really cool! He looked almost as strong as me- and the way he would fly through the air like that. So cool..."

'He's so adorable, holy fuck-'

"Yeah, Spiderman is my favorite hero."

"Mine too.." the smaller boy yawned. Seems like the movie was lulling him to sleep.

Asher scoot over to give the guy some space. "You can go ahead and take a nap. I'm gonna go downstairs and prepare some food in the meantime."

"I should probably go home, though-"

"You're good. Go ahead and sleep, then you can get up and have dinner before I take you home."

'Take me home? I can get home by myself, though.'

As if Asher read his mind, he glared at Kaidou. "Seriously. It's fine."

"Okay, okay.. thank you.."

He hummed, watching as the other got comfortable in his sheets and drifting to sleep.

He grabbed his phone off of the nightstand, wanting to text Saiki before he went off to cook.

'I haven't messaged him all day. I almost forgot.'

The brunette sighed as he set his phone down. There was a small smile that lingered on his face because of the previous conversation.

'What a funny guy.'

He stood from his bed and headed downstairs.

'I have a few hours before my mom gets home.. so I'll make dinner, eat with Kaidou, and leave a portion for my mom. It'll be fine..'

Asher was going to make something simple. Something easy.

He thought making homemade ramen was easy. But, boy, was he wrong.

Making the noodles, the broth, perfecting the eggs- what a headache.

He got done after about 2 hours. He skipped upstairs and back into his room, seeing Kaidou still napping in his bed.

'He's so cute when he sleeps. Like a little chihuahua.'

He stared for a moment before grabbing his phone, taking a picture and sending it to Saiki.

He tossed his phone to the side afterward, sitting beside Kaidou in the bed. He pat his shoulder lightly.

"Kai, the food's done.." he spoke softly, almost too softly. It didn't even sound like it was him at first.

"M... mom..?" Kaidou muttered as his eyes slowly fluttered open.

"No, dimwit, it's Asher. You're still at my house."

".. huh?" after he fully opened his eyes and got used to the light, he slowly sat up facing the brunette. "How long was I asleep?"

"Not too long, just 2 hours or so-"

"Two hours!? I've gotta go, I have to go home--"

"Chill out, stupid. Eat, then you can go. I'll take the blame if I have to."

"Whaat-? No, it's fine. I shouldn't have stayed for so long anyways without letting my mom know where I am."

"I guess that's true. But it's fine, I'll make up some excuse. Now let's eat before the food gets cold."

'Huh... who knew Asher-kun could be so nice..'

They went downstairs to dine with each other.

"Fuck, this is ass... sorry, I've never made ramen homemade before..." Asher groaned as he slowly ate the food.

"What- this is so good.. really good! Seriously, I don't think I've had such good ramen before. And for free?!"

The other boy shrugged. "Eh. I guess it's alright.. I could've done better on the eggs and broth, though.. and the noodles.."

'You just named everything in the bowl--'

The two of them finished up their meals before walking out of the house.

Kaidou protested a lot, saying he didn't need to be walked home, but Asher wasn't having it. He couldn't just let the helpless guy go alone.

So, he walked him home. Kaidou's mother ended up answering the door, and she as furious.

Yelling about how irresponsible he acted, and how he would be grounded.

Asher hated parents like that. Always on their child's case, as if they couldn't handle themselves. Kaidou is a frail guy, but there's no need to go full monster on him.

Anyways, Asher did his best to conceal his annoyance with the older woman as he stood up for his friend. He said that he wanted someone to stay over at his house because he wasn't comfortable being there alone. It wasn't a complete lie, so it's fine.

After a lot of explain, she gave up on being angry at him and Kaidou was back in his home with an anger-less mother.

Asher went back home and got ready for bed, feeling exhausted from cooking, walking Kaidou home, and dealing with his control-freak of a mother.

The brunette checked his phone one last time before sleeping.
