Y/n's POV
You know if Leorio wasn't such a bad gambler we wouldn't be in this position. Yeah I lost my battle but I didn't take fifty hours away from this test. I know I just had to let it go though. We would still have ten hours to get out, but I had heard of this tower.
"This tower has a lot of history," I commented while everyone settled in. Kurapika was the only one who showed a bit of interest.
"what kind?" He asked and put his bag down.
"Well, it's known for it's design, obviously. It's also known for taking a long time to get out of," I said kind of annoyed. I could tell Leorio was still pressed about loosing.
"Yes, if we had our fifty hours I would have confidence that we could escape," Kurapika looked at the ground.
"Okay! I'm sorry! I said that now would you just let that go?" Leorio yelled and then turned around to his briefcase.
I sighed and sat down. It was just Leorio, Kurapika, Gon, Killua, and me. Killua and Gon were a year younger than me and very clearly a few years below me in maturity.
"What else do you know about the tower Y/n?" Gon asked. He looked at me genuinely curious. I told him about how it was made and how the idea came to. His facial expression faded from curiosity to boredom. Although he tried to act interested and failed, I appreciated his dedication.
To mess with him I decided to start telling false information. He had to catch on soon. If he didn't I would have no faith of us getting out of here.
"Yeah so they had to recruit birds to help with building this thing. I mean did you see that giant hole in the floor where we fought those prisoners?" I asked Gon and fake looked surprised.

"Whoa!" Gon said and Killua laughed quietly behind him.
"Gon, you know Y/n is messing with you right?" Killua asked. Gon looked confused and looked back and forth between us.
"You betrayed me! I should have known they didn't have hamsters working for them," Gon said and threw a pillow a me.
I laughed as I caught it. I threw it back and it hit KIllua. He threw took the pillow, jumped and slammed it onto Gon's head. We all erupted with laughter. I grabbed another pillow and a whole war was created. I hit Killua while he hit Gon and then ducked behind Kurapika.
Kurapika blocked a pillow with the book he was reading and smiled at me. I smiled back before I was hit with a pillow by Killua. I tackled him and we rolled into Leorio.
"WOULD YOU GUYS STOP i'M TRYING TO SLEEEEEEP!" he yelled at us but that made us laugh more.
Once we settled down we all laid on each other. My head was on Killua's stomach. Killua's head was on Gon's stomach. And Gon's head was on my stomach. It was in the shape of a bendy triangle.
"Y/n why do you want to become a hunter?" Gon asked.
"Well, my family believes I am unable to take care of myself. I'm here to prove them wrong, and become a skilled hunter.
They both hummed a response.
"Y/n you seem more than capable to take care of yourself to me. You're determined and smart," Killua said. "My mother would love you."
I didn't know whether to be satisfied or uneasy. Being loved by one of the greatest family of assassins was not a personal goal.
"Thanks Killua, I wish my parents actually trained me. But I shouldn't complain, you were forced into it," I responded. I kind of wished we could stop talking about parents with Gon there.

"I never knew my dad but I will soon!" He spoke up. I gave him a warm smile and he returned it.
Killua looked at the ceiling solemnly. I reached up and grabbed his hand. I just held it and rubbed my thumb gently over his knuckles.
It was hard to believe I was holding the hand that had ripped a man's heart out. The hand that did that was not Killua though.
That was a trained assassin in Killua's head. I don't know why, but I refuse to believe Killua was a killer at heart.
All he needed was someone to show him he was more than an assassin. He could care about someone too. I guess Gon and I would lead him by example.
I held onto Killua's hand before he pulled it away from me. I knew this care was different from what he knew. He just needed to get use to it.
For the time remaining in that small room, Kurapika read about every book on the shelf, Gon and Killua bounced off the walls, and Leorio hid behind his briefcase. Every chance for me to hold Killua's hand, I took.
Slowly he let me hold it for longer and the last time we slept in that room he let me hold his hand for the night.
Five minutes left on the clock. Gon was stretching while we all stood still. I noticed Killua looking at me so I returned the glance.
"Y/n why did you keep holding my hand?" He asked me. I looked at the ground in front of me and then back at him.
"It's a sign of care. I care about you Killua. I know it was weird for you but you're getting use to it. I can tell it doesn't make you feel as uncomfortable anymore," I replied to him as he nodded.
One minute left on the clock.
He grabbed my hand and rubbed his small hands over mine.
Zero minutes left on the clock.
We ran out hand in hand ready to fight. It seemed like we were going in circles though. No progress made and we barely had time to get out of the tower.
I felt my other free hand being pulled. It was Gon.
"I want to hold hands too!" He said excitedly while we all ran. Killua laughed at him and muttered "Baka" under his breath. I laughed at both of their reactions and held their hands tighter.
Sometimes people are born with a natural love to give. Gon and I. Some people need to be shown that love in order to express it too. Killua.
