《Unforgivable ✔️》Chapter 15

I walked around for a while after my small blow up with Shayne. I decided I wanted to go see Bree. I was going if he wanted me to or not. I doubted that Jake would be able to talk to her.
I kept walking until I ran into a group of men. They were all shirtless and just had basketball shorts on. It was easier for them to slip the shorts off and shift if ever needed. Most of the guys around here that were guards usually only wore shorts and that was pretty much it. I think that's one of the reasons why Shayne didn't like me leaving the house.
The group noticed me before I had even attempted to say a single word. They all straightened up and became serous. I slowly walked towards them to introduce myself. I felt a bit awkward asking for favors when I hadn't been presented as their Luna yet.
"Luna," One of the guys said bowing in respect.
I ignored the urge to roll my eyes at him. I hated when people around me did that. It made me feel like I was above them. In truth I was beneath them with the horrible thing that I did. I didn't deserve their respect and I didn't deserve the title of a Luna.
"Hey there," I said clearing my throat. "uh, do any of you know where the prison cells are?"
"The prison cells?" The boy asked confused.
"Yes, the rogue that they brought yesterday is a friend of my brothers." I said. "I just want to make sure she's doing alright. Shayne had a big problem with this whole thing so I didn't get a chance to talk to her. Could any of you take me there?"
"Sure, I can take you there."
The others continued to look at me as if I had two heads. I didn't blame them though. I had never been outside of the pack house. Mostly I always spent my time inside and if I wanted to go out I had to say around the Pack house. It was mostly my fault because I had been dreading to meet the pack. I didn't want to have this title when I didn't feel comfortable.

"So, you're a guard?" I asked as we started to walk.
"I'm a tracker," He said. "I was the one who was able to track the rogue."
"Oh, that's good." I said not knowing what else to say.
"I'm also the one who chased after you when Max found you." He said. "I'm sorry about if that caused you to get hurt, Luna."
"You were there when I was trying to get away?" I asked.
"Yes, sorry about that." He gave a nervous laugh and scratched the back of his head. "My name is Ben."
"Well Ben," I said. "you did good trying to protect the pack."
Ben smiled brightly at me. It was like he was relieved that I didn't bite his head off. I didn't care anymore. It was done and there was no going back from that now.
"Thank you, Luna."
"Call me Sage," I said cringing.
We continued to walk and as people passed us by they started to smother me. They kept asking if I needed something and then asked if they could get it for me. This continued on with a couple of people until we reached the prison cells. Of course there were guards there and I would have to find a way around them.
"Erm, Ben?" I said, feeling a bit awkward. "Do you know your way around the prison?" I asked.
"Yeah, I've been here a couple of times."
"Good." I said.
We walked towards the entrance of the Prison Hall. Both guards seemed to be a bit surprised to see me there and looked at each other. I assumed they would be telling Shayne or asking him if I was supposed to be here.
"Luna." They both bowed in unison.
"Hey," I smiled. "uh, I need to see one of the prisoners."
"The Alpha gave us orders not to let anyone in." The one on the right said.
I nodded as if I had already known which wasn't a lie. I figured he would do something like this.
"Right," I said."but I'm the Luna and I want to get in. Are you going to stop me?"

They both shifter uncomfortably in their positions and looked down at the ground. I hated pulling that card over them but I was desperate.
"I get it. I know that no one is allowed but I have to make sure the new prisoner is okay." I explained. "She's a friend of mine and I know Shayne isn't going to let her go. It will just be a minute."
"We need to-"
"Five minutes and I'll be out of here. Call Shayne if you want but just give me five minutes." I pleaded. "I'm asking as your Luna."
It really did pain me to use that against them. I felt guilty. I hadn't earned that title. I didn't have the right to use it against them.
"Five minutes and Alpha Shayne will be here."
I nodded and darted inside with Ben right behind me. I let him lead me down the cells and every once in a while we passed a couple of guards.
We turned so many corners and walked down several halls that I swore Ben was doing it just to waste time. When Ben stopped at the end of the hall he gestured to the cell that was in front of me.
"I'll be back in five minutes." Ben said with a quick bow before leaving.
Bree had brought her head up to look at me. She was sitting on the bed with her elbows rested on her thighs. Her sandy hair fell down past her elbows and her blue eyes were as bright as ever. She had a small smile on her lips as she leaned back against the wall and crossed her arms over her chest.
Bree was absolutely beautiful. Next to her I felt very simple. I was older than her but that didn't stop me from feeling self conscious. I didn't have the confidence like most girls did. I had that problem just like any other girl did.
"What do you want?" Bree's tone was flat.
"You know what I want."
"Right," She said. "you want to know how I found you, right?"
I nodded.
"You're a very famous rogue, Sage." Bree said, looking annoyed by the thought. "Everyone is talking about you and for some reason no one wants to let the word out to any of the packs."
I had gained many friends being a rogue. That's what we all did. We looked out for each other and we kept each other safe. Not all rogues were like that though. The reason we are dangerous is because we didn't care about pack life. Even though we acted like we all belonged to some giant pack, it would never be that. Sometimes it was every wolf for themselves.
"Did anyone know you were coming here?"
"Not anyone you'd be interested in." She said."I do have some other bit of information though."
"What is it?" I asked.
Bree stood up and casually walked towards the metal bars that held her prison. She wrapped her pale fingers around the bars and leaned in.
"First," she said. "you have to get me out."
"I can't do that. Even if I wanted to, why would I? Do you realize what your big mouth caused?"
"Somehow I feel that you'll get over it."
"What is this really about, Bree?"
"Why does it matter now? Shouldn't you be focusing on the important information I have? The more time I spend in this cell the longer you'll have to wait and the longer you'll be at risk."
"How do I know you're not just tricking me into letting you out?"
"I've learned a couple of things while trying to track both you and Jake. One of the things I learned is why you're always running and I know one of the people you're trying to run from."
"And who is that?"
"Let's see," she said straightening up and tapping a finger on her chin as she pretended to think about it. "Rider. Isn't that his name?"
Hearing that name spoken out loud sent a chill down my spine. Seeing the satisfied look on Bree's face made me wish there wasn't anything between us so I could strangle her. She had me where she wanted me now. I needed to know what it was she needed to say and unfortunately that meant getting her out of there.

Mage Among Superheroes
Turlough is a mage. He also happens to be an orc, generally lauded as being less intelligent than humans. He was unfortunately born with the Curse of the Barbarian, meaning that he can’t level up except through combat- which greatly hinders his ability to show he can be a proper mage. In a world with necromancers, dragons, invading armies, and all sorts of other monsters he would still be able to advance quickly, but unfortuantely… that world is not his world. An unprecedented peace reigns across the land, and in the last several decades there’s been little use for people capable of fighting- and thus little reason for people to fight him. So when he sees a portal in his master’s study he takes it, hoping to find a horde of demons or something equally foolish to combat at low level. But instead he ends up in a strange city full of skyscrapers and people running around in colorful outfits. Superheroes- and of course supervillains as well. What dangers and opportunities could await him in such a strange and unfamiliar world? Only time will tell. Inspired by many things in the superhero genre, and Super Minion specifically- though while the setting will share some standard elements, it is an original setting that will hopefully be as engaging as many of the other universes. Schedule: One chapter each Monday/Thursday, approx. 2000 words.
