《The Untold Truth (Kakashi's Little Brother) *COMPLETED*》Chapter 20: A Day in with the Akatsuki

Six days had passed by slowly due to us extracting two beasts at a time. But for those six days.. Madara and I didn't have to do the extraction seeing that we're just extras. But it was the first time, Satoshi was helping out with the extraction. It doesn't look like it affected him much, but that could be because he was trying his best to stay in his calm and lazy state.
"Maasaki." Madara called. "Satoshi is out by the river. Make sure he doesn't do anything he'll regret."
"Of course, Madara-sama." I mumbled.
I exited out the base and walked a mile out to where the river would be. I swear, this boy stays put! He's always out and about doing useless things! I neared the river, but came to a full halt. Satoshi was standing by the river bank gripping his favorite book very tightly. His face was calm, but anyone could tell that he was highly troubled.
"Satooooshi!" I called out. "What cha doing buddy?"
"Just watching the river..." he said quietly.
"You're not going to tell me to be quiet?" I asked confused.
"It doesn't matter, it's not like you'll listen to me any time soon." he said.
"What got you so down in the dumps this time?" I asked.
"Not sure.. but it feels heavy."
"Are you thinking of your brother again?"
He smiled lightly. "When don't I ever think about him? But no, he isn't the problem this time."
"Then what is it? Come oooon, tell your best friend. ~" I said, nudging him a bit.
"I guess you can say, I feel a bit lonely." he said.
"Why? You have me, and the whole Akatsuki!" I said happily.
His smile faltered. "But what are they to me exactly? We're not exactly close to each other, nor do we find each other as nothing more than a co-worker. So what are we.."
"You can interpret us however you like! But I don't see us as just co-workers, I see us as misunderstood criminals." I said.
"Misunderstood criminals huh?.. I guess that's one way you can view it." he mumbled. "But is that how you truly see us?"
"Of course!" I replied happily. "We all have our own past, and our own goals! But together, we'll achieve it!"

"I don't think so.."
"Eh? What do you mean?" I asked.
"Our goals won't be reached because it doesn't matter exactly our dream is. And I think we all know that as well. We know we don't matter in this life anymore, so what is the point to think of the future when we know our end?" he said.
"You're always killing the mood with your deep talking Satoshi!" I pouted.
"It's not deep if you already know its outcome.." he said sadly. "Besides, you are going to be one of the members who will live."
"Whaa?"
'Does he know of Madara and I's plan?'
"Despite your idiotic nature, you're pretty strong Maasaki. There's no denying that... that is why I believe that you will live longer than the rest of us." he said.
"Aww, that's the nicest thing yo-"
"That, and because you run away like a crying child when your opponent is a bit too much for you." he said with a smirk.
"And there's the insult..." I pouted.
He chuckled a bit before his face returned to a blank expression, looking at the river still.
"Maasaki.." he said softly. "What does friendship mean to you?"
"Friendship?" I asked, confused.
'Why is he talking about that?'
"Well, I think it means having a close bond with that person." I answered.
"Is that all you think?"
"Hm... yeah, I suppose."
"I see.. well, I think I'll go back inside now." he said turning around. "You can walk with me there or you can stay here on your own time.. it doesn't matter to me."
'Why is he asking all these weird questions? There has to be a reason why he's saying all of this. Is he going to hurt himself? I can't let that happen... yet that is. I need his eyes fresh and for him to gather the jinchuriki's!'
"Huh?" I asked, looking around me. "H-Hey! Wait for me, Satoshi!"
'Maasaki is just filled with lies! But I lied to him as well, I was never thinking of because I was alone.. I was thinking of that traitor! But I'm still conflicted about him. I to be angry with him, but everytime he like an idiot, it makes me feel like that Maasaki is down in him somewhere locked up. Or that could just be the spark of hope I held for him.. just a bit.'

"You always leave me!" Maasaki whined.
"That sounds like a problem between you and your brain." I said. "If you'd actually paid attention, you would have known that I walked away from you faster."
"But it takes awhile for my brain to process!" he said.
"Obviously..." I mumbled.
"Hey!"
Maasaki and I walked a mile back to the hideout where I had finally laid back onto my bed. I was quite tired from the extraction, but I managed to pull through. Anyways, despite me having my cloak and shoes still on, I was slowly drifting to sleep. However, that stopped when my door was suddenly kicked open. I immediately sat up and jumped into the air barely missing getting tackled by Madara.
"Satoshi help me!" he pleaded in his Tobi voice. "Deidara-senpai is after me!"
"You shouldn't mess with him to begin with..." I sighed as I sat crossed legged on my bed.
"Satoshi needs to hide Tobi-!"
"There you are!" Deidara yelled. "You're done!"
I widened my eyes as Deidara stuffed his hands in his clay pouch. Seeing that Madara was hiding behind me, Deidara was going to not only explode my room, but my bed as well! And I'll be damned if i have to share a room with one of these psychotic idiots! I quickly made my move and held Deidara's hands to block any clay to seep through.
"Mind doing this where it's my room, Deidara?" I said as I glared slightly.
He sweat dropped as he gave me a sheepish smile. "Sorry Satoshi... un."
I released Deidara's hands as he walked past me to drag Madara out of my room. I watched as Madara flair around begging anyone for help but of course, no one came to his aid. I sighed heavily and ran my fingers through my hair. Knowing all the ruckus that's going to take place, I wasn't going to get any sleep soon. I groaned in annoyance. All I want is to have a good night's rest! But how can I sleep with all this noise?!
"Satoshi?" Maasaki said as he entered our room. "You don't look good."
"Really? I haven't noticed." I said sarcastically.
"You should go to sleep." he said.
"What do you think I've been doing this whole time Maasaki?!" I snapped.
"Geez, someone is cranky." Maasaki mumbled.
"Of course I am!" I said. "I can't get any sleep with all this noi-"
"WATCH OUT!" Tobi shouted as he ran in my room.
BOOM
Deidara's bomb went into my room and almost hit me. However, I avoided that and used Maasaki as my shield.
"You're.. so... mean."
Was what Maasaki said last before he collapsed onto the ground twitching.
"What have I told you about your bombings, Deidara?" I said sternly.
"Anywhere but your room." he mumbled like a child getting scolded by their parents.
"You're just lucky no one got hurt." I said.
"But Satoshi-senpai! Maasaki-"
"Like I said before, no one. Now... get out of my room."
I began to push Madara and Deidara out of my room. Once we neared the door, I shoved them out and slammed the door shut and locked the door. I sighed heavily and looked down at the passed out Maasaki.
"Idiot.." I muttered.
I lifted Maasaki up and laid him on his bed. I then grabbed his blankets and gently placed them onto him. Even though he's a manipulative prick, the good nature in me can't seem to stop. I guess you can call me the idiotic fool...
That day when I had out Maasaki in his bed. I remember the feelings I held... I was angry, yes, but Maasaki was like a little sibling. I felt as if he didn't know what was wrong or what was right. Call me crazy for having some hope for Maasaki at the time, but it was true.
I know many of you won't like that I was being nice towards him instead kicking him to the curb. But back in the Leaf, we solve things through a more gentle approach. Until we see a possible threat is when we will take action. And in that moment, Maasaki necessarily a threat to me. Just someone who was lost. However, what happened throughout my life with the idiot, is that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover quickly.
