《The Untold Truth (Kakashi's Little Brother) *COMPLETED*》Chapter 4: The Chunin Exams (Part 2)

"Tell me why Satoshi can't participate in the second exam again.." my brother asked the Hokage.
My team and I were just watching the whole thing play out. Apparently Lord Third thinks I should skip this test due to being an extra member which is unfair to others and that I'm too skilled to even attempt on going against the genins. I was mentally smiling at this because I already know Lord Third wouldn't really care what my level was and would allow me to do this with my team.
"Satoshi is too skilled for this test. He would get the scrolls far too quickly and that would be unfair. Besides, you have a team of four, it is best for it to be a three man team for the second part of the exam. Surely you can spare a child." he said.
"But it doesn't make any sense. Satoshi would go up against the children anyway in the third part. Surely would be called unfair as well, so why not just let him be in the second part?" my brother said.
The Hokage sighed. "Fine.. ! He will do this test solo."
"What?! Lord Third be reasonable! He may be skilled but I don't think he shoul-"
"I'll do it." I said, interrupting my brother.
"Satoshi, do you even know what's in that forest!" my brother lectured. "There are many-"
"I know what's in that forest nii-san. Don't take me so lightly." I said, narrowing my eyes a bit.
"Are you stupid?" Sasuke whispered in my ear.
"Nope, just insane." I replied.
"It's settled then. Now, dismissed." the Hokage said.
My brother heavily sighed as we all left the Hokage building.
"Why did you accept to do it alone Satoshi.." my brother said.
"How about worrying about yourself. I can handle the second part of the exam on my own."
"Satoshi-kun..."
"Are you doubting my skills Sakura?" I said with a slight glare.
"N-No! Of course not Satoshi-kun! It's just that.. you could get hurt." she said.
"Tsk, I won't get hurt... my level surpasses far more than yours." I said a bit irritated.
"HEY! DON'T SAY THAT TO SAKURA-CHAN! SHE'S ONLY WORRIED ABOUT YOU!" Naruto shouted.
"Urusai.. she shouldn't even be worrying about me in the first place. What she be worrying about is her own training instead of fawning over boys." I snapped.
Naruto growled. "I SWEAR YOU AND SASUKE ARE SUCH PRICKS! YOU GUYS ALWAYS THINK YOU'RE ABOVE EVERYONE ELSE!"
"Then maybe you should get good kid." I said and walked off.
I had my hands stuffed in my pockets and glared at the ground as I walked. I felt a little angry and sighed.
'So that's why Naruto dislikes me... if I hadn't had to do this mission, I would've at least help train him. Who knows, we could've been great friends.'
Today was the day of the exams and our proctor for the exam was Anko and she had explained what we would be dealing with the inside of the Forest of Death. Anko gave me an earth scroll while I walked towards the furthest gate to keep my distance from my team and any other people I had dealt with in the past. I turn around and grabbed a pebble on the ground and secretly use the transformation jutsu onto it making it look exactly like my earth scroll.
'I need to be careful about getting hit though.. I have to keep the chakra in it, maintained.' I thought to myself.

I then stuffed the real scroll into my summoning scroll as the fake one stayed in my kunai pouch. I look back to where everyone was and see them all chatting away with their team to probably come up with a strategy. That is until I heard some teams nearby me.
"That guy is going in by himself.. we could probably take his scroll easily if we all go for him." a boy whispered.
"Yeah, but everyone here knows he's going alone! If we go after him then we might go up against everyone. It's best we stay away!" a girl said.
"But we have to take a chance!" another boy said.
'Hn, so these fools think they can take me on? They do know... I'm far off their ranks, right? I mean Kabuto did say my inform- was that a flash of black and red I saw?'
I looked over to the direction of where I had last seen it and there it was. I have seen a single red eye looking at me within the trees. It scooted a bit closer and it was a masked man. Though no one could see him because he was still well hidden, not to mention he hid his chakra signature very well. I didn't expect anything less from an Akatsuki member...
He signals me to come over and I look with my eyes to see if anyone was looking my way. Once I have seen the coast was clear, I used my kekkei genkai so no one could detect where I had left off to. I make my way to the Akatsuki member and deactivate my eyes.
"Why are you here? I thought you weren't coming here until the last day of the chunin exams?" I questioned.
He chuckled evilly. "I just want to see how my new will do in the exams. I do hope there is death... I can't have a weakling in the organization now."
'K-Kill? He wants me to kill those who crosses my path?! I don't think I have the heart to even do it.'
"These are merely genins... they aren't even worth my time to even lay a hand on them." I said bluntly.
He narrowed his visible eye at me. "You will do as you are told. Show no mercy or it'll be your life at stake."
"I don't care about my life, these genins are mere child's play."
"Tsk, not even in the organization yet and already you're trying to defy me." he said. "But don't think I tried to recruit you without knowing your weaknesses... I could always... kill your brother in front of you and murder this entire village."
'Damn him!'
"Fine, just keep your filthy hands off of my brother and this village." I replied.
"So, you'll follow my orders now.. correct?" he said.
"Yes.. but you stay away from them! If anything, it will be me who will handle them."
He chuckled. "Deal.. now get back to the gates. They start soon. And remember... no mercy."
After he had said that he left the scene. I sighed and made my way back to my gate. I was getting curious glances from the other teams as well as mine. I ignore their stares and look straight at the gate waiting for Anko's signal.
As soon as she said go, I immediately took off and went in different directions to see how many people were trying to tailgate me. And I must say, there were quite a few teams after me. However, by me changing directions, it made other teams encounter each other, so basically... I was narrowing them down.

I continued jumping from trees to trees and decided to stop. As I stood my ground, two teams appeared behind me.
"Hey, get lost! We were going to take his scroll!" a boy with short black spiky hair said.
"No! We were going to take it from him!" a girl with long blonde hair said.
They continued their banter until I spoke up.
"Which one of you have the heaven scroll?" I said not looking at them.
"Tsk, we do, but we ain't giving it to ya so easily!" a boy with a bandaged mask covering his nose down said.
"Wasn't planning on taking it so easily... I like a ." I said bluntly and turned around. "So.. will I be fighting all six of you, or will you fight each other before taking down the main boss?"
"Tsk! You talk all high and mighty! I don't see how the girls in this village like guys like you!" a girl with medium red hair said.
"So, I'll be fighting all six of you.. you should say your prayers now, because this will be the last time you see the light." I said.
"Shut up! You shouldn't be talking in your position!" the same spiky haired kid said. "You three! We'll team up this one time, so we can take down this over confident prick!"
"You." I said, pointing at the kid. "Your voice... it me."
"Tsk, why you!" he then jumped up with his kunai in hand.
I easily grabbed his wrist and tossed him behind me as if he were trash. The other five then proceeded to lunge at me all at once thinking they had me cornered, however, I just wanted this all to be over.. especially when that masked man is watching me from who knows where.
'Forgive me...'
I activated my kekkei genkai and had critically injured all five of them with my kunai. They all lay on the ground gurgling their own blood. I deactivated my eyes and the spiky haired boy looked at me in fear as I turned around to look at him.
"You... I.. I didn't even see you move! You nearly killed them!" he shouted.
"Don't worry, I'll save you the troubles of seeing your comrades die in front of you. However, I kill these three.. they have no value to you." I stated.
"You're a monster! Even if I don't know them, they deserve to live!" he claimed.
"But a life doesn't matter if they aren't your comrade right? As a shinobi, you eliminate those you're unfamiliar with. Take the chance to let them live.. and they'll kill you when your back is turned." I said stoically.
"That's not always true! People can always have a change of heart if you show them some guidance!" he said.
'This boy... reminds me of Naruto.'
"Hn, your view of this tainted shinobi world annoys me. There is no happiness.. there is no trust, and there is certainly no ." I said lightly growling.
"No, you're the one who doesn't put trust in others! If you would give them a chance-"
"They would back-stab me.. now just give me the heaven scroll and we can all leave happily." I said extending my hand.
"Fine! Just leave us be!"
He then tossed me the heaven scroll as he ran past me to tend to his injured team and the others. I slowly walked away before stopping to look over at them a bit.
"By the way... I always keep my word."
"Wha-?"
I immediately cut him off and stabbed my kunai under his jaw. The boy gripped my arm tightly as I looked blankly at the boy feeling guilty. I then leaned into his ear as I whispered.
"I'm sorry... I don't expect you to forgive me, but I admire your strong heart."
I then swiftly took my kunai out of his jaw and rammed it right into his heart. I heard him spew out his blood as he weakly put his hand on my shoulder.
"I forgive you..." he said with a pained smile.
After that, his body went limp and I took my kunai out of his body letting his body drop. I then walked over to the injured shinobi's as one of his teammates looked at me with her dull eyes. It was the girl with red hair, she looked at me with her eyes as she spoke with a raspy voice.
"You can end our lives... but it won't change the fact that you will always be a merciless killer."
"Welcome to the shinobi world.." I said with a slight glare.
I then used my shurikens at all five of them hitting them directly in the chest, finally ending their lives. I then walked over to their bodies and retrieved my weapons, wiping their blood off with their clothes.
"I'm impressed... I didn't think you'd have it in you, Hatake."
I slightly turned my head and there stood the masked man.
"Like I said before... I keep my word." I said.
"Good.. now go to the tower and end it already." he said. "Also.. during the month of training for the last exam.. I will be sending someone to train you for the time being."
I nodded my head as he disappeared, leaving me all alone. I sighed, and place the scroll into my pouch and began to head towards the tower. This is going to be a long exam...
I had made it to the tower within a day. It surprised many of the jonin and chunin's there, especially my brother... I guess he didn't expect me to make it to the tower so fast. Anyways, today was the day where the preliminary round begins. Apparently there were still too many in the exams, however, two jonins were brought of the news of their students' deaths. I felt bad seeing their sad looks.. but I can't look weak right now.
"Do you know who or what killed them?" a man with short brown hair said.
"It was by one of our Leaf shinobi, Satoshi Hatake. Apparently they all tried to attack him at once since he was doing the exam as a solo. But Satoshi is one of our best geninshinobi, he's known to be quite.. advanced." a fellow Leaf shinobi said.
"Satoshi Hatake... although he had slain my team, I will say I admire his strength in a 1v6 battle." a woman with long raven hair said.
"But did he really have to do that? " the same brown haired man said.
"Killing was and still is allowed in the exams. You can't blame the kid for defending himself, I may be angry and sad about this, but it is nice to know there will be a generation of strong shinobi's." the women said.
The man sighed. "Fine.."
After eavesdropping on their conversation, a hand was placed on my shoulder. I turned around and was met with my team. And I looked quite surprised... Sakura had short hair and Sasuke, what the hell was that on his neck? It looks cool.. but then again, it could be dangerous.
"I heard what you did Satoshi..." my brother said.
"What did Satoshi do?" Naruto asked.
My brother sighed. "He.. killed six genins in the second exam."
My team widened their eyes, hearing that while I stayed impassive.
"How could you kill them! And judging by your face, you don't even care!" Naruto said with clenched fists.
"C-Calm down Naruto. Maybe Satoshi-kun had a good reason to do what he did." Sakura said softly.
"When is there a good reason to kill?!" he bellowed.
"Shh! Be quiet Naruto! You'll draw attention!" Sakura said, sounding a bit irritated.
"What would you do in a 1v6 battle Naruto? Do you think I would leave in one piece? In the shinobi world, it is to kill or be killed.. choose your path." I said.
Naruto tightened his fists and clenched his teeth. I scoffed at the blonde and looked back at the arena where they had begun to explain the rules of this round. I didn't feel like watching the matches seeing that I don't really care about it and wanted this to be over with. So instead of watching the matches, I walked over to a wall and sat down, taking out my book to read.
"You're not going to watch me fight, loser?" Sasuke said.
"No, because I already know you will win." I said not looking at him.
"Hn, at least you know the outcome."
I then heard his footsteps leave and the match had begun. Oh joy...
I was still reading as the matches went on. That is until I felt a slight nudge on my leg. I looked up to see my brother as he pointed to the board.
"Hurry up Hatake! I've been waiting for this moment!" a voice roared.
I had gotten up and looked over the railings to see the same kid who had asked for information about me in the first part of the exam. I jumped down the railing and landed gracefully on my feet. I lazily walk over to the arena and stood there until I heard those magical words.
"Are you two ready?"
I nodded my head as the other kid just got into a fighting stance.
"Alright... begin!"
Kosuke immediately ran over to me and tried to engage in a taijutsu fight. However, I refused to move from my spot. He happily took that chance to hit me which was straight to the face. He held a smirk on his face until he noticed I didn't even flinch from his punch. I then backhanded him, causing him to fly back a couple feet.
"Were you even trying?" I said.
"Tsk! You.. you think you're so tough huh?" he said getting up.
"Not entirely, but I do know I'm stronger than ." I said mocked.
I watched as he grunted angrily at my comment. He then began charging an attack, but I didn't care too much. I yawned a bit and sat down and took out my summoning scroll to take out my bento box. I broke my chopstick and opened up my lunch and totally ignored the fight happening. At this rate its like I can almost hear the people around me sweat dropping at my actions.
"DON'T THINK SO LOWLY OF ME!" he shouted.
He then jumped at me with his jutsu in hand ready to hit me with it.
'Hm.. wind style huh? Calculating that he's running up to me to try and hit me.. it's a close range. If I turn slightly near the end..'
He started to get closer and I was timing when he would hit.
'Now..'
I moved my head to right and he went flying by. I mentally chuckled at this, I couldn't help it, this was pretty funny.
"If you wanted some of my lunch you could've just asked instead of attacking me, you know." I said as I stuffed my face.
"Ugh! This isn't a game! Take this more seriously would you!?" he said irritated.
"I would... if I saw you as a threat." I retorted.
"I'LL KILL YOU!"
He then ran at me with a katana in hand, ready to slice me.
'Let's see... katana in hand.. he's angry, and he it seems his sword doesn't accept chakra natures into it. My best guess is that he'll swing furiously at me. Tsk, what a shinobi this kid is..'
Kosuke did as I predicted and I kept dodging every swing as I kept eating. This was just plain sad.. especially when I have my kekkeigenkai. I was practically toying with the kid. Maybe I should end it so he doesn't embarrass himself anymore. Yeah... I should do that now.
"Hey.. Kosuke was it?" I said.
"What!?" he yelled.
"Think fast."
"Huh?"
I activated my kekkeigenkai and pinned him down with shurikens. I then readied my kunai and gave the boy a few cuts and bruises here and there. I then walked back over to my lunch and continued my lunch as I deactivated my eyes. As soon as my eyes went back to normal, I heard everyone gasp and mumble on how I even took him down. Even Kosuke was surprised on how he was taken down.
"W-What? When?... How?" he croaked.
"I took you down as soon as I said think fast." I said nonchalantly.
"B-But.. you didn't even move."
"That's why I said think fast. Your life lies in my hand when I use my secret weapon. You're lucky I even let you live." I said.
"I'll get you back for this. You better watch your back, Hatake!" he growled.
"Oh, I'm trembling in ." I said amused.
I then stood up from my spot and walked over to the pinned Kosuke.
"I look forward in meeting you in the future. Because the next time you see me... you better ."
I then smirked as I knocked him out hitting his pressure point. Once I was announced the winner, I took my things and headed back up the stairs. I was getting scared glances from everyone I had walked by. Seeing how they kept looking at me, I didn't want to stay if they were going to keep looking at me like that, so I decided that I would just go home. But before I could even do so, my brother grabbed my shoulder.
"After the preliminary rounds, we need to talk." he said.
"Hn, whatever."
I then pushed off his hand on my shoulder and made my way down the hall.
'If only you knew.. nii-san, I won't be here for much longer.'
