《Blood to Love | 3rd year》12- Truth or Dare

I stepped off the dormitory floor and onto the top step. I walked down the slightly swirled steps and presented myself to the crowd below. I got a couple of looks, but most people were busy grabbing drinks and heading to the dance floor. I smiled at the vast crowd that arrived in short notice of one day.
The party had just recently started and more and more people filed in through the common room door by the minute. I peered around the room, caught a glimpse of a redhead standing and a raven-haired boy with glasses right outside of the common room. With large strides, I zoomed over to greet them.
"Hey guys. Where's Hermione?"
"She is finishing Transfiguration homework and then she'll be down," Harry informed me.
I nodded and led them into the common room, which they apparently have been into before in second year. Although they still gaped at all the decorations and snacks in the room.
"I'll be right back," I proclaimed as they walked around the common room together and made themselves comfortable.
I turned my back to them and walked into the crowded hallway to find Fred and George, who were leaning against the wall with an assortment of gadgets and candies laid upon the table in front of them.
"How's business?" I asked, clearly seeing that it's good due to the long line of people behind the table who were also invited to the party.
"It's going amazing," Fred stated.
"All thanks to you," George complimented while winking quickly.
I laughed and rolled my eyes jokingly while welcoming people and walking back into the common room.
"Would you like a butterbeer?" Blaise called out from behind me.
"Yes, thank you," I replied, gripping one of the two butterbeers in his hand.
"How's Pansy?" I asked, grimacing as I said her name.
"Brilliant, truly brilliant."
He walked off to go dance with Pansy and I chuckled at his abrupt departure. I stared at them for a second and broke out of my trance when Ron startled me from behind.
"May I have this dance." His voice croaked while he held out his hand for me to grab.
"Did Harry tell you how to ask a lady to dance?" I asked, chuckling.
"Er — yes." He grinned embarrassingly.
I slammed my hand into his and he led me onto the small dance floor where we previously moved the couches to make way for the fun students who craved a dance or to sing. Elvis Presley was playing on the speaker that Draco was requested to bring in by me.
Ron and I jumped around as the song played and shouted the lyrics out loud. We had a blast and the song suddenly turned into a slow instrumental.
We calmed down and I put my arms around his neck and laid my chin on his shoulder. He wrapped his arms around my waist and we swayed to the slow beat. I glanced around the room as we swayed and noticed Blaise and Pansy slow dancing next to us. I then noticed Harry on the couch people-watching and Draco on the other sofa glancing at the door every couple of seconds, impatiently searching for Hermione. They were much more similar than I ever thought.

The song ended after what felt like minutes — or hours — or possibly years. We eventually broke apart and I looked over as the door creaked open. Hermione Granger walked into the room and smiled as she made eye contact with a depressing Harry on the couch. She sat next to Harry on the couch, however, Ron and I sat on the floor side by side facing them.
"I'm glad you joined us," I spoke, directing my comment at Hermione.
"Same," she replied uncertainly as she looked around, her gaze falling on Draco who raised his eyebrows at her.
We sat there for awhile and simply talked. We were in the middle of a conversation about Draco's inability to swim when Blaise interrupted us.
"Hey guys. Pansy, Draco, and I were planning on playing truth or dare with Veritaserum. Do you four want to join?" he asked with pleading eyes.
"Sure let's go," Harry immediately replied, clearly bored out of his mind on the couch.
"Are you guys sure we should do this?" Hermione asked nervously.
"Of course, Hermione! What's the worst that could happen?" Ron rhetorically asked.
We all followed Blaise out of the common room and all the way up the spiral steps to the empty astronomy tower. Blaise flicked his wand at the hanging lantern in the corner of the room, which resulted in some dim light. We all sat in a large circle while Pansy pulled out a vial of the well-known truth potion. Draco handed each of us a small party cup that he snatched from the common room.
Everyone had a different reaction to grabbing the cup from Draco; Hermione hesitantly, Ron eagerly, Harry quickly, Blaise excitedly, Pansy impatiently, and me reluctantly.
Draco was left with the last cup and placed it by his outstretched legs. Pansy went around and poured the clear liquid into each of our cups and sat back down next to Blaise who had an arm around her shoulder.
"Who is going first?" Ron questioned.
"Ron ask Y/n first," Harry proposed.
"Truth or dare?" Ron asked turning to me.
"Truth."
"If you could kill anyone without being caught, who would you kill?" Ron asked.
"Easy, Voldemort," I replied immediately without taking the truth potion.
Everyone flinched at the name except Harry and Hermione which made me roll my eyes at their fear of a name.
"Pansy, truth or dare?" I questioned.
"Dare." She then giggled.
"I dare you to kiss Harry," I said calmly, apologizing quietly to Blaise who narrowed his eyes at me.
"Fine," she replied walking over to Harry.
"I really don't think —" Harry began but was interrupted by a quick peck by Pansy, to which he tried to rub it off immediately.
"Harry, truth or dare?" she asked.
"Dare."
"I dare you to hex Ron," she grinned.
Harry winced." Colloshoo!"
Ron's shoes stuck to the ground as Harry said those words and he grunted as he tried to lift them.

"Truth or dare, Draco?" Harry boldly asked.
"Dare." The blonde boy smirked.
"I dare you to kiss Hermione."
I gasped quietly at first and then smirked at Harry, as this was a great start for Draco to make a move on Hermione. Hermione's eyes widened immensely and she frantically looked for a getaway. Draco inched closer to her and she finally gave in. He kissed her and after just a split second, she backed away.
"Ron, truth or dare?" Draco said cooly, not addressing what happened whatsoever.
"Truth."
"Who did you like before Y/n?"
He grinned a mile wide. Ron took a sip of the Veritaserum and replied.
"Definitely Hermione," he stated robotically.
Draco raised an eyebrow and peeked at me. I furrowed my eyebrows at Ron but ended up shrugging. Hermione gasped and covered her mouth with her hands, seeming sort of angry at herself.
"Y/n, truth or dare?" Ron asked as Harry undid the hex that stuck his feet to the ground.
"Truth," I reply shortly. Draco scoffed which I ignored.
"Out of anyone in the school, who would you date that isn't me?" Ron questioned eagerly.
I took a sip of the Veritaserum and began, "George."
Mouth agape, eyes wide, and taken aback, Ron sat in awe. I smiled back at him while he sat there in shock and amazement.
"So your into the Weasley's, huh?" Harry chuckled, which earned him a nudge from Hermione.
"Weak," Draco muttered.
"Excuse me?" I questioned.
"I said you are weak. Are you too scared to do a dare?" he taunted.
"Scared, Barbie? You wish. Give me a dare."
"Gladly," he scowled. "Go kiss the Weaslebee."
"George?" I said, shocked internally but putting on a poker face.
"Yeah, if you're not scared, L/n."
"Ron?" I looked over at him.
"Absolutely bloody not!" Ron yelled.
"Ok I won't!" I defended.
"Don't ever think about it, that's my bloody brother."
"Pathetic," Draco murmured.
"It's not pathetic Malfoy, it's not wanting my girlfriend to kiss my sibling, you numpty. You'd understand if you had a girlfriend!" Ron shouted, obviously agitated at his nemesis.
"That does it," Draco scowled as he quickly got up.
He rushed over to Ron and pushed his chest and Ron fell to the ground. It wasn't a long fall, as he was already sitting on the ground but the hard ground slammed into Ron's back.
Ron sat up immediately and rammed his hands into Draco's chest, causing him to stumble backwards.
They continued pushing one another, ignoring me, and Draco threw a punch at Ron. Ron fell to his knees and had blood dripping from his nose onto the cold floor. Draco kicked Ron's chest and he fell onto his back. Harry joined in and gripped the back of Draco's neck, pulling his back to the ground resulting in a loud grunt.
Hermione let out a sob in the corner and Harry rushed over to her and hugged her tightly. Blaise and Pansy had inched away near the stairs, looking completely surprised at the bloody mess on the astronomy tower. Draco and Ron both got up and Harry pulled me over to where he was standing by Hermione.
Draco got hit by a few punches resulting in a black eye and bloody nose. Ron on the other hand had a bloody nose and a swollen mouth. I watched intently as they continued throwing each other on the ground repeatedly, grimacing at the grunts. Hermione ran down the astronomy tower stairs and Blaise and Pansy followed shortly after. Harry wrapped his arms around my neck and pulled me into his warm chest to prevent me from getting involved if I suddenly wanted to.
After what felt like decades in Harry's arms and listening to grunts and cracks from Ron and Draco, it had finally ended. They both laid on the ground, giving up while breathless and injured.
"Go get Madam Pomfrey!" Harry shouted.
I sprinted down the astronomy tower and down the hall. I could feel dried up mascara on my face from one escaped tear stuck on my face as I ran down the castle hallways. My hair flowed behind me and my face became chilly due to the wind.
I ignored all the stares and questions thrown at me, as I was only focused on getting to the hospital wing. Once I arrived, I opened the door and Madam Pomfrey stormed over to me.
"My dear, what has happened?" Madam Pomfrey concernedly asked, seeing me out of breath and most likely looking stressed.
I stood there catching my breath and panting harder than I had in years, that is, until I calmed down to speak.
"Fight ... astronomy tower." I replied between breaths.
She nodded and we jogged back to the astronomy tower, her attire flowing behind her as if it was a bridal dress. Her eyes widened as we approached Draco and Harry laying completely still on the ground.
Harry and I put Ron around our shoulders and dragged him to the hospital wing while Madam Pomfrey hauled Draco.
Once we arrived to the hospital I explained to Madam Pomfrey while she tended to the two new patients. She nodded vaguely and forced liquid medicine down both of their unconscious bodies.
Harry and I stayed the night in uncomfortable chairs right next to Ron's bed. I grabbed Harry's hand and we laid there in silence while I silently spilled tears at Ron's frozen body laid before me.
I fell asleep, thankfully, not witnessing my sister once, as I was much too distracted by the literal bloody events that just occurred before my eyes. Little did I know, I would awake to different screams.

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.

World Step (Rewrite)
This is a rewrite of my story World Step. Though, in reality, this is my first serious draft. The shadows grow deeper on the planet of Whorrl even as a dark, and ancient ritual takes place within the depths of The Abyssal Mouth—a chasm of both fortune and calamity. The story follows Quintin, a Grandmaster Martial Artist from Earth, as unforeseen elements conspire against him from the depths of space. *No Harem *Strong MC, but by no means does he go through enemies without injury or at least learning something. *Throw on [Horror], and possibly [Psychological] elements. *Dark Fantasy with some [Grimdark] leanings. Notes: this will be a place where I endeavor to rewrite and fix issues. With that in mind, expect revisions, edits, and other things of that nature.
